I'd personally prefer a rotating sets format, akin to what they're doing with Arena. A new subset of the game available every month, so the format can never get too stale. They can even remove Witchwood, Karazhan and Frozen Throne for the first month.

That's really unfriendly to new players, though. You basically need to have a reasonable number of cards from every single set in order to stay relevant in every meta. Currently, there's a solid understanding of which cards are most relevant to own for people with limited dust (the ones from the current year). If you make things go nebulous, no one but the most dedicated players are going to stay around.

I'd be okay with rotating Classic cards, but only in the case where they create 100+ new cards to swap in instead of pulling directly from old sets, to reduce that immaterial feeling as much as possible. They can even be reprints of old Wild cards, they just need to feel separate.

Pulling aBoulderfist Ogre on turn 2 is pretty good I'd say

    Oh? Try pulling Golemagg.

  • The only other minions that summon other minions and give them Rush are Betrug and The Boom Reaver, and those are boring. I went for a card instead.

    Stampeding Roar

    Druid Beast synergy.

  • Can we take a minute to appreciate its flavour text, though?

Oooh, see that wasp! Watch that sting! Dig in the Sandwasp Queen!

  • Elise and Lunara share a voice actress. That's mildly interesting.

Bad form to do two in a row, but I couldn't resist.

How do you actually edit pre-existing cards while keeping things smooth, I've tried the card generator but it only generates new cards.

If you go to Hearthcards and hit the little "Import" button (it's next to where you enter the name), it'll open a menu that lets you pull up any existing card and edit it.

  • For the record, this is the art the actual Sir Finley card will be using.

    Looks pretty kickass the me.

It has to be a Hero Power. You can optionally also create whatever card would grant this power.

I'll be worried if there will be a card that actually gives Reborn to a minion, because that could slip out of hand.

I wouldn't worry about that. There almost certainly will be a card like that, but it probably won't be that strong. Desperate Stand saw absolutely zero play, and neither did Corpse Raiser.

Needs to be a Paladin card and have something to do with Hero Powers.

  • I was already running only Sludge Slurper at one and a bunch of Battlecry cards for my Control Shaman. It looks like a perfect fit.

The only issue I have is the anti-synergy with Hagatha the Witch. I don't see this card beating her currently, but I'll certainly try it when the expansion launches.

  • I freaking love this brawl, especially with Twinspell and Echo being in standard. Already had the sickest Commander Rhyssa Desperate Measures Exotic Mountseller combo game.

  • I highly doubt the art changes had anything to do with China or even censorship at all. Secretkeeper, Queen of Pain, and Windfury Harpy are still pretty skimpy (Secretkeeper and QoP even more so now). It's probably because of art evolution. Hearthstone has gotten progressively cartoonier over the years, and a lot of the borrowed TCG art really didn't fit that. They want to keep the world consistent, and literal sex demons don't fit that anymore. I mean, why hit Mistress of Pain with some... LEG! ... and not Silver Hand Regent's extremely visible nipples - they wanted to remove succubi from the game because of the connotations.

For the record, traditionally it's the West that gets censored nudity and outfits and relatively uncensored violence, while the rest of the world inverts that. China certainly has no problem with skimpy video game gals. This is a blanket change, not a market appeal.

Also, this has been said to death but I really love the new art. It's so much more dynamic for the most part. The only weaker ones are Headcrack (doesn't even look like the same card) and Deadly Shot (it's cute that they changed it to the ballista firing the same bolt from the old art, but it looks a little flat).
