I haven't read any busted combos with this yet. But it seems like a card that is unique enough to see some niche competitive play at some point during its life cycle.
Currently (and classically) Rogue had issues closing games against classes with a lot of removal/sustain. I remember back when you hoped to find Anub'arak off of Journey from Below to beat warrior.
This is basically just a much better version of that since it's actually a stand alone playable card.
It's not really secret. I think it was more that people didn't notice/care. Ares was cancelled, and that was public. But no one followed up on who left after the project was cancelled.
This is more "people weren't paying attention" than it was "MEGA TINFOIL COVERUP."
While a high roll evolve ends the game faster, evolve still cheated 9 or more mana in the earliest stages of the game. That's going to be enough in almost all situations regardless of the roll.
With lackey's, the amount of them that are generated will usually result in their finding an answer. In particular because most/all of the lackeys function as removal in one form or another. Again, with double lackey generation, and double battlecries, it's actually likely that they can find the out. It's actually more unlikely that they can't find the out.
Ditto to double MCT battlecry. Also, that one is on you. Don't play into MCT.
TL;DR: The average roll is already quite high. It sounds like you're actually upset at the times they don't specifically low roll.
I'm with you in that Shaman is imbalanced. It's just not imbalanced for the reasons you're claiming.
I am intrigued by the Ra Warlock. It's the first unique and impressive thing that the class has been able to do in some time. It's probably not enough for the class to catch on, especially as the greediest decks love to play Hakkar. But I'm glad that it exists.
I think the RNG aspect of Shaman is being overplayed. The deck is absolutely overpowered right now, but not because of RNG.
Off evolve, you are almost always getting better than what you gave. That is consistent. How much better does vary, but it's nearly always better. The mana cheat is why Evolve/Hare/Mogu/Mutate hurts so much.
And sure, sometimes every roll is a titanic lackey. But with double battle cries, variance evens out really quickly. And besides, all the Lackey's are incredibly powerful for their mana cost. That you get so many of them is where the real power comes from.
TL;DR Shaman is undoubtedly overpowered right now, but RNG swings aren't really to blame.
Kind of like Kazakus and Zephyrs in that you're playing a card that creates a wide array of answers to your situation. Likely very good.

Pretty strong card. Hard to imagine that it won't see at least some amount of competitive play.
Kinda busted.
Completely reasonable. Spicy with the new 1/3 too.
Hopefully it won't be too busted. They're getting kind of better at Hero cards...
HS Autochess? Hype!
In particular, this was Jason, and he was busy finishing (or not) his book and just had a kid. So he probably hasn't been digging as much until now.

That said, not sure why people noticed now.
"I made the world a better place."
Did you though?
Because that's not how app stores tend to work.
It's because updates often have to be verified by the particular app store or provider. And that process takes time.
I play almost exclusively mobile and haven't experienced any game breaking bugs. There is occasionally framerate slowdown, but that's been it.

It means he was wearing too much tinfoil to read the tweets from the developers specifically stating that it would end at the next expansion.
Not everything has to be for everybody. If you don't dig competitive HS, that's cool. You do you.
No because it's not worth mentioning. It's designed to come apart to fit in suitcases.
