I'm still in shock!! Although I never believed they would do that, I still kept my golden copy, just holding that tiny bit of hope they would eventually do it! AND THEY DID!!!
I'm so glad!!!
But, being pragmatic, all these changes won't make a difference in Wild... they are just too slow. I think maybe only Raiding Party may see some serious play.
Wrong. I play in low ranks (18-13) and play and see EVERY type of deck you can imagine. Do you actually play Wild? There are those Quest and Secret Mages etc but people try everything for fun. I can actually rank with Exodia Paladin...
People will absolutely try all those new oldies and have a lotta fun with them, you'll see. Call of the Wild in Reno or spell hunter, Emerald Stone in secret hunter, a renewed Razakus, Yogg druid, Odd warrior with Boom, tempo rogue with Raiding party etc etc. It's gonna be a blast!
I LOOOOOOVE Exodia Paladin. Thank you for this. The Salhet's Pride idea was genious, though I'd prefer to have a redundant Panda (Ancient Brewmaster) instead of the second Salhet. Because you have both Cristologies too and all those are not necessary for the combo while both pandas are. So sometimes I lose because I don't draw the 2 pandas.
Hi there man! Thanks for bringing this up! I was always a big fan of Exodia Pala and it’s great to see a new twist on it. I played more the Beardo version with 1 mana spells and it was great because I could use Call to Arms but anyway. Using the new Nozdormu to ramp into Uther and your big bombs must feel amazing! Can’t wait to try it. Let us know how the deck goes in ladder
MTG >>>>>> HS because of many reasons: no RNG, multitude of archetypes, better art, more adult feel etc
On the ftp side, as people above said very well, you can slowly build your collection for free, but it's gonna take a looong time to build really good decks, except the hyper aggro ones, which you use to grind. Anyway, it's a very satisfying game, with more than 20 years of successful history. Really, what are you waiting for??
Literally you're first reason is "NO RNG"? Your leading argument out of the gates, and you're already stumbling...I'm laughing out loud as much as JJJ here. If you believe that, not only are you a naive fool; but I've got a statue in Booty Bay to sell you.
Thanks for the reply, Mr. Politeness!
I'm the naive fool when you can't even differentiate between Hearthstone's intrinsic RNG foundation (draw a RANDOM x-card, summon a RANDOM 2-cost creature, cast 5 RANDOM spells you've cast this game) and Magic's occasional mana screw/flood?
Both games have their charms and intrinsic pros and cons. I had my share of HS addiction. Can't even touch it now. MTG on the other hand with its absurdly larger variety of strategies is a whole new world to discover.
That’d be mtggoldfish.com for me. Daily updated meta list and daily articles and videos. But the thing I really miss is a Vicious Syndicate in depth type of meta analysis. With MTG I have to deduce what’s best against what, match-ups, meta trends, that kind of stuff.
Some youtubers produce some interesting content but it’s not the same as a good old written article.

There are many other decks out there using Command the Dreadhorde as a finisher (Esper control, 4C Dreadhorde) that don’t even use The Wanderer. They simply use other heal mechanics to survive CTD life loss.
I also opened 2 of them but can’t afford the other rares (*#%! Dual lands...) to build the ful deck
I think at least some cards from this set will make it to the meta, look at how powerfukl some of them are!
I see [Hearthstone Card (Chandra, Acolyte of Flame) Not Found] replacing the [Hearthstone Card (Goblin Chainwhiler) Not Found] in mono-red aggro, [Hearthstone Card (Chandra, Awakened Inferno) Not Found] absolutely will find its way as control killer, Leyline of Sanctity... Lots of cool stuff and they've just started the reveals!
At least, even if you don't get a ton of useful stuff, imagine all those Wild cards you get for 50 bucks...
Absolutely man! I’m in the exact same boat. However, we’re pretty safe to craft strongcards from the newer sets that we know will remain in Standard. Most recent was another “Experimental Frenzy”, since for sure there will an updated mono-red aggro that will use it!
Mono red aggro may have some problems in standard...
a tech against Red Deck Wins, however its not as strong against other decks. They are loosing Lyra in the rotation so that hurts white for sure. We will see.
Ouch! That hurts!
And it's not that bad against other control decks that force you to discard. I think it might be a staple in control that are weak to strong RDW starts!

I really like monowhite devotion lifegain, so I'm grabbing these ones
MTGA's card "styles" are so lackluster... Hearthstone's are so much more polished and cool

Can we remove this with exile effects
What about the version using Hemet to get to the combo earlier? Looks very legit. What does it lose to this one?

A marvelous Magic: The Gathering Arena section

I don't know if it's case sensitive this time but in their official Blog they spelled the third one "BroughtBack"
Hm yummy

I’m currently in love with Magic: Arena (try at least the new player experience

Paper Magic is not for me anymore. Tooooo expensive and time consuming.
However, I recognize Millstone from your avatar, it's from my teen days (started at IV and stopped at VII ed)
Ouch! That hurts!
