This is absolutely disgustingly strong. Nerf candidate. 

As a Hunter main I am so in love with this card it's not even funny. This is fucking beautiful and exactly the type of card that is needed to help bring back Beast Hunter.

PS: I can't wait to see the Hunter/DH legendary. 

Now that is a spicy Dragon! Highlander lists are going to love this.

What ever happened to less resource generation across the board? But here, have a Neutral resource generator so everyone can have a bunch of spells that didn't start in their deck!

I think we will see this card a lot more than some people think. Aggro has very little reason to not run this. 

Or we won't see it at all.

Jokes aside, something tells me Hand Buff Paladin support is incoming. 

Honestly I don't see this being very good. Reminds me a lot of The Glass Knight, which looks interesting on paper, but in application on the game board, the effect doesn't benefit you and is too easy for your opponent to play around. Maybe the Spellburst will make this different and I'm wrong, but right now I'm not sold. 

Disgustingly good, another card I see getting nerfed. More Discover effects in a class that isn't supposed to specialize in generating resources, and reduced mana cost of the next spell played. Important to note, it's "next spell", not "next spell this turn". Play this on turn 1 and throw out Innervate and Overgrowth on turn 2. 

Spell Druid is going to be even better this expansion. 

Yes, it seems balanced because Devolve is 2 mana, but I really see this getting nerfed up to 2 mana. 

A little concerned at the power level of some of these bi-class cards. 

"Hearthstone's Chadd Nervig has confirmed that the effect will be updated as new expansions come out, though once Transfer Student moves out of Standard, those updates will cease." 

"We plan to update Transfer Student with custom effects for new boards, while he is in Standard. After he rotates to Wild, new boards will get a consistent "Battlecry: Discover a <Expansion> card." for each board.

Plans may change in the future, but that's what we're thinking right now, at least."

A little disappointed in their current plans for when it rotates. It really shouldn't be hard to make it continue to follow the new expansion themes even once it rotates. Being just "Discover a <Expansion> card" is really boring. Hopefully their plans change.

Going to put this here for discussion sake:

I honestly have conflicting feelings about the card.

It's pretty cool idea to incorporate the board type into the game, but at the same time... it isn't. 

I just played my first match with Transfer Student in my deck, and I know I cannot make assumptions based off of one game, but the fact that it only took one game to find an example of my concerns kind of proves my point. 

I slid a copy of Transfer Student into my Highlander Hunter list. I queue into a Druid, which I correctly assume is a Spell Druid on the DoD board. 

I had Transfer Student in my mulligan (the game really wanted me to try the new card), giving me a 2 mana Discover a Dragon on a 2/2 body. Not bad. 

I play it on-curve and was offered Veranus, Onyxia and Cobalt Spellkin. Expecting a mana ramp into a turn 7 Exotic Mountseller, I pick Veranus.

Long story short, he curves into Exotic Mountseller on his 7, right as I hit turn 6 to clear his board using the Veranus I discovered from Transfer Student, continue to apply pressure, and win the game. 

The entire reason I won that match, is because we were on the DoD game board. I did not draw any other answer to that T7, and had we been on say the Uldum board, I would have lost. 

I am fully expecting to see a lot of Trollden videos surrounding this card. People losing matches on Orgrimmar with 2 damage going face etc etc.

It may not happen enough to matter, but it will be rather frustrating to lose a game just because of which game board you got stuck with.

This card was only printed because Divine Spirit was sent to wild

Yeah, all the Darkmoon Faire stuff popped out to me during the video. It wouldn't surprise me if they were trolling us, because they know how much of the community has been wanting that expansion. But honestly, I think it's time and we are finally going to see it this December. 

Yeah, I was really hoping for something dark and gloomy, but this works. 

Honestly the theme of the expansion means very little to me this time. The most vital thing is going to be the new cards and what it will do for the health of the game, along with whatever the new game mode we are supposed to get this expansion. AoO has left a very salty feeling in a lot of the community, this expansion is very important for blizzard to get right to win back some players who have jumped ship. 

I included Wand Thief because while both Rogue and Mage are supposed to have a major focus on resource generation, both of them are already over-the-top as it is. This just further adds to their tools, and even gives Rogue direct access to discover from a pool of cards that contains a lot of board clears, which is supposed to be one of their major weaknesses. There is no reason for this card to not be in every single Rogue deck. 

Also, this card easily slides into Quest Mage in Wild. The current Quest Mage is minion based with low cost spells. This is so easy to activate the combo on it's not even funny. 

Honestly, the more I think about Wand Thief, the more I see it getting nerfed in the future. 1 mana is too strong for this effect, even with the combo. 

It's exactly what it should be as a neutral AoE. It's not powerful, but certain classes/decks will find a use for it. 

Really solid card. Warrior has gotten some nice stuff so far. 

If you don't have a way to remove this, it can run away with the game. Not sure how I feel about this. It will either be too slow if the meta is fast, or it will get nerfed. 

"We should expect less randomly generated resources next year and even in the expansions later this year."
