Aranna Starseeker is the newest hero that will be joining Hearthstone as a playable character, and she's a Demon Hunter!
The Felfire Festival, which begins tomorrow, will introduce us to a new character in the Felfire Solo Adventure on June 17. This new character is Aranna Starseeker, and we'll be following her story in Outland across the 5-chapter adventure.

This isn't where the story ends though since we did mention that she'll be joining the game as a new playable Demon Hunter hero. Although it isn't mentioned in any of the text Blizzard posted today (either the patch notes or the Felfire festival promo), the video that was posted to YouTube, Blizzard briefly showcased her two-week-long availability as a Bundle that comes with a card back and 20 Ashes of Outland card packs.
We don't currently have details on her pricing, but what we do know is that we're excited to get our hands on a new Demon Hunter. The bundle should be available for 3 weeks during the Felfire Festival event.

I'm glad to see new hero skins... but am I the only one that wants to see Undead heroes?
A while back you posted something about data mining a Black Temple thing. You hear anything about that coming along?
That should be this upcoming solo-Adventure, or at least the Challenges. The patch notes stated that you would fight against the likes of Supremus and Mother Shahraz, which IIRC are Black Temple bosses.

Um. OK. I guess from that we learn humans tend to find more human-looking things attractive. Who knew?
Fortunately for us the hero skins are not taking part in a beauty pageant, so the demon hunter skin that looks like a demon hunter rather than a questing librarian will do just fine. On a side note, I could totally see the HS team making a questing librarian card one day.
For anyone wondering about the price of the bundle and skin, its apparently a merciful 20 bucks. So for 20 AoO packs, you get a bonus skin and card back.
Not too bad. Personally, I'd buy the bundle for the packs alone.

I feel like I called the DH being the cosmetic hero a while ago.
not sure if this event is enough to get me to play again, I kinda lost interest after getting legend...
So there's a new dhunter around. Wonder what's shes going to be angry about all the time now.
Maybe her backstory would be how Elise keeps getting the nice glasses while all she gets are handmedowns.

Poor Illidan! The OG 9 heroes got to dominate for YEARS before replacements showed up, but Illy only got 2 months. And he had to wait TEN. THOUSAND. YEARS.
