A Hearthstone Hotfix is Available for Battlegrounds Lag and Witchwood Adventure Issues

We've got a round of hotfixes on the Hearthstone servers that reduces client lag in Battlegrounds and a bug that made The Witchwood Adventure disappear.

Hey everyone,

We’re currently deploying a hotfix (18.4.1) that will address the following:

  • Reduced client lag in Battlegrounds caused by Elemental buffs and animations.
  • Fixed a Battlegrounds bug where Seabreaker Goliath Mega-Windfury would not activate.
  • Fixed a bug where the Witchwood Adventure would not appear in client after being redeemed from the web shop.

This fix will take place on the server side, so you will not need to download anything if you have already updated to 18.4.

  • They fixed the BG lag?.... FINALLY! BG was quite laggy for some time, and i hope it's now completely fixed. The community wanted this fix for quite a long time. (At least i heard BG players, and some BG streamers often complain that they kept adding heroes and stuff, but not fixing the lag.) Also when playing an nomi elemental build, it took like 10 seconds for the refresh animation to stop. That was enough (at least to me) to stop playing elemental builds with nomi. So glad it's fixed now!

    • They already released that hotfix on October 2nd.
