The third Hearthstone Global Games continued last weekend with the remaining games of the first group stage. We’ll now take a look at which eight teams joined the winners from last week to advance for round two next week.

The Results

Last weekend’s games were part of a group stage, where the 32 teams were divided in 8 groups of four. Each group played through a double elimination bracket, and the top 2 teams of each group advanced to the next phase. You can find a short summary of each group below.

  • In Group B New Zealand and Thailand overcame China and South Korea for a spot in round two.
  • In Group F Italy and Norway beat Poland and Germany for the top 2 spots.
  • In Group G Romania and Czech Republic saw off the challenge from Belgium and Turkey to advance to the next round.
  • Group H saw Greece and Denmark going through at the expense of Ukraine and Russia.

You can find the detailed brackets on Playhearthstone.com. Beware though, the default tab is phase two (Round of 16) and the matches have already started! You should be able to see the VoDs of all the games (from last week as well, currently missing Sunday's matches) here, just click the i-icon.
