If you're a long time player, you may remember a time when there were only nine classes. The announcement of Demon Hunter being the first new class to be added to the game since release was one of the biggest in the history of the game. So much so that our announcement article from 6 years ago is the second most-viewed article on our entire website.
Nowadays, Demon Hunter has been in the game for a substantial length of time so its spectacle as a "new" class has mostly faded except for truly old players. How long it has existed for is actually the topic of today's post.
Because starting from today, May 5 2026, officially marks the day that Demon Hunter has existed in Hearthstone longer than it hasn't. That is, unless you're counting the beta period. Then we still have a little way to go.
Only counting the time since release though, the length of time between Hearthstone's release on March 11 2014 to the day before Ashes of Outland released was a total of 2,219 days.

And today marks the 2,220th day that Demon Hunter has existed in the game since it was added when Ashes of Outlands released on April 7 2020. The class is now older than the game itself was when it was added.

It's been a wild 6 years together with Demon Hunter. What good memories do you have with Demon Hunter? Let us know in the comments below.
