New Hotfix: Escape From Violet Hold Preorder Bundle Updated - Now Includes Signature Copy of Vanessa

The Hearthstone team just announced a hotfix, fixing a bug where event quests could fail to show up after refreshing.

35.6.3 is a server-side hotfix patch rolling out today (June 18), with accompanying minor updates to the 35.6.2 client.

Bug Fixes and Game Improvements

Hearthstone

  • Resolved an issue where event quests could fail to be displayed after refreshing.

  • Signature Vanessa the Ringleader card has been added to the Escape from Violet Hold pre-purchase Mega Bundle. More info here.

Amidst the announced hotfix also came an announcement for an update to be pre-order bundle for Escape from Violet Hold to include a new Signature copy of Vanessa, the Ringleader.

In the image, we also see her Health decrease from 5 to 4, though the nerf won't be live until the set releases.

  • Kinda hilarious to add extra stuff to a bundle. That has never happened before which means sales must be not where they want them to be.

    It could also be a planned test where they want to see the engagement diff when they add a signature card to a bundle to get an idea of who gets interested that maybe wasn't interested in a preorder before. Tough call and sadly we'll never know the real reason since the bean counters don't talk about the magic.

    • You are prob right on the lower than expected pre-orders being the reason. I figure they were planning on having her signature card as a solo purchasable in the store later on. I'm still waiting to see some more rogue cards, I feel like they haven't utilized the design space of them taking out shadowstep so far.

      • On Shadowstep I think that's by design. If they immediately started pushing things in a similar space, there would likely be some pushback.

        I fully expect expansion 3 of this year will play around with that more since it'll be in standard for the least amount of time if they decide its too powerful which means less chance they have to do dust refunds on a potential ban.

        Though, class sets also make an excellent moment to bring in some classic feel for classes, so maybe we have to wait that out and see when it ends up being delivered.
