Day 1 Highs and Lows

So I log in to start my Voyage and get my pop ups for the legendary cards in my bundle. I got Ini Stormcoil and Ambassador Faelin in gold. I figured that was pretty sweet as it would allow me to essentially have a chance to play all the colossal minions in gold. Then I realized when I went over to start my rewards track that the first card on the track is a normal Faelin. Now I'm kind of bummed that I have essentially wasted a golden legendary. Between all my saved standard packs from tavern brawls, the 80 from the bundle, and what I have spent from my saved gold, I did end up with 11 legendary cards. So, not bad all in all. I'll see what I pull from the rewards track and evaluate how much more gold to spend from there.

    • Check Faelin's dust refund amount.  I got a golden Finley in the bundle and it was listed for a full refund amount as he's diamond in the battle pass (which I got too).

      For me, the big bundle, saved gold, and other saved Standard packs make for a pretty good haul.  Then I have a ton of dust saved, and just craft whatever I want and missed.  Golden Gigafin though in packs!  And a golden Nellie, the Great Thresher in the golden Standard pack from finishing the Mercenaries books.

  • You can dust Faelin for full value but only for day or two

    • He is eligible for a full refund, but it is so tempting to keep him for the golden colossal plays.

  • Something else interesting that just happened, I just logged back in and got a pop up saying that my bundle contained Auctioneer Jaxon. That was from United in Stormwind and I don't think I got a bundle from that expansion. I'm somewhat confused.

      Did you happen to claim your twitch prime free legendary card at some point? That could be the random one you got since it could be from any set incurrent standard.

        Yes, I did claim that today. That must have been where it came from. Somewhat disappointing, but thems the breaks I guess.

  • Every god damn time, all my expansion day excitement gets destroyed by an army of brain dead agro decks from previous expansions.

    I just got blasted down by the 5th consecutive pirate warrior in a row. 
    Turn 7, 19 health, just pulled of an insane swing turn with Naga mage and that guy pulls a Mr Smite and destroys me from an empty board. 

    I get that this is a good occasion for F2P’s and casuals to reach easy legend. But it drives me furious! We’ve spent weeks talking about the new cards, watched early gameplay with fun decks, spent hard earned money to get access to a variety of cool decks and for what? Arrrrrr me go face.
