  • Cards like this are built for the future, they will only be stronger as time goes by. As evidenced by Deathstalker Rexxar, there will be more and more cards added into the card pool over the next 2 years for Standard, and even more so for wild. 5/6 stats for 7 mana is not bad, and the weapon + some spells that can damage face would seriously boost Hunter burst potential. 4/5 rating.

  • even without face damage, a number of hunter spells can damage minions which are enhanced with this for board control

  • Broken.  It's a good thing she costs 7 mana and requires a ton of setup.

Just think when you get to her at the bottom of the deck.  Womp, Womp.

How to make this work in Spell Hunter.

  • Will the spell power from Thori'dal, the Stars' Fury persist during your opponent's turn, buffing Explosive Trap? If not, I'm not too excited about this card until we see something like Powershot or Grievous Bite to really take advantage of the spell power for board control. Right now the most useful board control synergy it has is probably Baited Arrow, as it becomes much easier to get the overkill. It might still be good enough just to give you a bunch of face damage, especially since the weapon hits for a total of 6 damage even without you using any spells.

  • As it stands this card is below average. If more spells that can target face come out in the next two years then this card might be playable. As it stands now I don't see it being used.

  • It seems to me, based on this card design, that this set is pushing support for Zul'jin, with the emphasis on spells. Especially Unleash the Beast and Marked Shot
