Carnival Barker: "Everyone's FAVORITE deck is back, ladies and gents! Step right up and be amazed!!! Witness the powerful Odd creatures assembled by Lothraxion the Redeemed!"
*******************
Okay, enough of the Faire Flair! Really... it's Odd Paladin, so this group was assembled by Baku the Mooneater anyway! Love it or hate it, this deck seems to persist in some form at any given time. But with the support cards it got in Madness at the Darkmoon Faire, I've been messing around with it some lately thinking it might have what it takes to climb back to Top Tier. After opening packs and crafting a Lothraxion, I started adjusting my existing list to include new cards.
NOTE: This is currently a Day One list with minimal optimizations made so far. More likely needed and some thoughts even suggested in the guide.
I can tell you, getting a perfect curve of Lothraxion on turn 5 and then Carnival Barker and a corrupted Day at the Faire on turn 6 is very nice! It hasn't happened much, and the one game it did I think I still only got 3 dudes off the new spell. BUT if you got Loth on 5 and then your board is cleared, it's a big power swing for 6!
I removed one Steward of Darkshire from the typical line up as Loth will give them all bubbles once you get him down. For more consistence you could add one Steward back in but after Loth she is basically a vanilla (3) 3/3. There are a few cards I will list below that could be removed if you find them too clunky.
Most of what's in this list will seem very familiar if you've played Odd Paladin in the past year. A few oddities (<-- See what I did there?) might be Faceless Corruptor, and a Derailed Coaster which is a new card. Coaster is one that could be swapped for something more efficient. I've only used it once so far to help clear a path, but I've also only played about 7 games so far. I'm thinking of removing Vinecleaver seeing as there are already so many ways to summon a bunch of dudes. Thinking that adding in Rallying Blade might be a lot better. It can combo with the Day at the Faire and Muster for Battle pretty well after playing Loth, which is great for those games that go a little later than expected. Could remove something like Derailed Coaster to make room for two Rallying Blades.
I'm also kind of entertaining the meme dream of adding in Bolvar, Fireblood as all your summoned Dudes having Divine Shield could make it Bolvar's time to shine!
More later, and will update the guide once I have more games under my belt and/or more refinements.
