Hearthstone
Welcome to the Hearthstone realm!
WELCOME!
It's time to Duel! In Uldum! New expansion added a new tool for Big Paladin -which is Blatant Decoy- and this deck does the job better than ever. When combined with other mechanics (Recruit), it's super strong deck in Wild compared to Standard. It also cheeses a core gameplay mechanic, which is unusual: You can attack twice. You heard me right: When you play Duel! spell, and it pulls out a Rush/Charge minion, you can attack again.
With cheating mechanics mentioned, here is how you should play: Mulligan hard for cheat cards, which are Call to Adventure/Bright-Eyed Scout/Prismatic Lens/Duel!, and Lesser Pearl Spellstone to defend yourself, regardless of all match types. If you followed the guide as suggested, then you can shake the board with following shenanigans:
- Call to Adventure >> Bright-Eyed Scout >> Pulls a Big Minion Y'Sharajj >> Profit on Turn 5!
- Call to Adventure >> Bright-Eyed Scout >> Duel! >> Pulls a Big Rush Minion >> Attacks Twice! >> Profit!
- Prismatic Lens >> Cost of Forbidden Healing and Y'Sharajj swapped >> Profit on Turn 4!
- Duel! >> Pulls Silver Vanguard >> Kel'Thuzad>>Profit!
- Duel! >> Pulls Banshee Queen >> Possession! >> Profit!
- Duel! >> Pulls Blatant Decoy >> Have a Big profit!
You might wonder why I used Abomination/Tunnel Blaster. Reason is: Paladin AOE spells are so crap that I had to use them for two reasons:
- Paladin spells are too expensive to utilize well. Also, with Prismatic Lens, you might not be able to play them.
- Abomination/Tunnel Blaster can be considered as Big minions with AOE package. Thus, with Duel!, you can hit two birds with one stone.
Long story short, Recruit and Duel hard baby! Here are the alternative cards you can try:
- Batterhead: If you miss some Big 8-Mana drops for this deck, add Batterheads but don't expect this deck to be as good as before, be warned.
- Ragnaros, Lightlord: Your fellow healer, along with Forbidden Healing. Maybe you should try with Deranged Doctor if you don't have him.
- Flash of Light: If you don't have Forbidden Healing, you can use this card.
That's all for this deck. If you have any questions, ask me anytime! Have fun in Wild format!
