The Ooze is rising. Trick, treat, craft, and hold the camp.
October 1 - October 31 · Daily resets at midnight Eastern
October is Oozefest! The Ooze is rising out of the pumpkin patch and the camp has one month to get ready for it. Knock on other members' doors for candy, and on realm pages and news articles too: three quarters of the time you get a treat, and the rest of the time you get a trick. Donate candy, timber, bars and fish to the camp defenses to raise the Settlement Level, because every level of it makes everybody hit the bosses harder. Five bosses come one a week, each with three attacks a day and a chapter of the story, and the last of them walks up to the wall on the twenty-ninth. Smelt, tan and weave what you gather into gear at the Forge, then open a shop on your profile and sell what you do not need. The free 50-level pass pays Ectoplasm all month.
Arm the settlement. A full meter levels up the Militia and sends a strike at the boss.

Projects
Preparing for the next battle
No boss is in range, so the crews hold fire. Each trebuchet keeps loading from the stockpiles until it has one full shot ready, then stops drawing ammo and waits. No Food is eaten and nothing is thrown until a boss arrives. Militia strikes bank until then too.
Challenges reset every day at midnight Eastern. Season challenges pay Pass XP - finish about half the month to complete the pass. The Gold challenges run every day, season or not.

In all the excitement about fighting bosses and building the settlement, I forgot about trying to log all the different fish (and now also new types of forageables, ore and wood). It looks like my Journal forgot too, as I've caught a couple new types of fish that aren't showing up in my Journal. Anyone else experiencing this? Flux, is it a bug that you can fix?
If you get the fish via alternative means (e.g. tricks from trick-or-treating), they don't seem to log into the journal, only the fish you've caught yourself do. Might be intentional.
The fish seem all to be "out there" but I'm pretty sure not all of the others are, or that they are locked behind a skill level. Haven't found half of them anywhere despite being pretty active. Anywhere outside aforementioned trick-or-treating, that is.
Ah, I see. I guess I wasn't paying attention to how I got those fish. I sure wish they would count toward the log, as I still have many new things to identify. I managed to catch most of the fish last month because of the clues indicating where on the site they could be found. I'm looking forward to getting similar tips for the other categories, especially foragables, which has the most unidentified items.

If you click on any material and go look at their detail in db, it says if and how you can obtain them. ofc you have to have discovered them first.
But some of the stuff is not available during Oozefest, and will most likely become available in a different season in the future.
I've found no other foragable through foraging than Spider Silk, outside the original five. Wood also only has the original five. Let me know if you happen to come across any new ones.
I can't remember which were the original minerals, but I've registered 8. From the two legendaries at least Mythril can be mined, it doesn't seem to have a certain place though. I've only gotten Adamantine through tricks so not sure if that's properly available yet or if I'm not lucky enough to get it.
Same, I'm still at 6/21. Either I haven't been to the right realms yet (currently trying to find the last fish in the Zelda realm), or they aren't dropping.
God damn, this thing is going to be dead in two days at this rate.
I need to sell something, and that's not happening in 30 minutes, so I guess I'm not getting the extra hit today. I've just not been listing anything because the only things I think are worth selling are stuff I craft but can't use, and finding material and crafting has been really slow. I'm really not sure here.
