I think I will play it in some version of quest/otk mage. I have some elementals in it anyway so drawing 3 spells will accelerate my win conditions. pretty cool but in wild
There are.. some Elementals in standard but none of them really fit into the same deck. SpellSpam mage won’t mind Violet Spellwing, Mana Cyclone, and Chenvaala, but I ain’t sure you’re gonna hit this sidequest’s effect consistently enough.
The payout is nice but the condition may be pretty hard to activate consistently. It's also one of the more slow sidequests, which drawn in the late game is already slow enough. However, it fits well into a more elemental control style mage decks
Its not really that hard to pull off, and this will likely shine in highlander than in giants or cyclone mage. The effect is insane, coming close to Mana Cyclone as a defining card. The only question is whether elementals in the current standard is good enough to be included for this to work.
You know, I'm real happy Reno's featured in these side quests, gives him a LOT of character (more than he had already) and kinda makes the other quests look a little bland lore wise by comparison.
that said Mage hasn't had a reason to play 2 elementals in a turn since Ungoro rotated, and I'm not sure any of the elementals they have would warrant them using this quest, either, since Elementals are very tempo heavy.
Still drawing 3 spells from your decks a nice reward

Lame.
Not enough elementals in Standard for this to see play. Will see play in Wild.
Maybe next year we are getting an expansion that will bring back more elementals?

This is exactly the type of card I needed to revive my reno elemental mage. It's really powerful. In standard? Meh...
strong draw, highly depends on how many elementals you have in your deck though. hard to assess right now

Probably not worth it. Elementals aren't that good and if you want card draw just add card draw to your deck.
this is a great wild card, on the standard it's good but how many elementals we have who gonna be used optimal on a mage deck

Seems a quest fairly easy to complete. The reward it's insane. In wild it's just broken.
A gift from Blizzard for cyclone mage. Reward is super strong and we already have some great elementals for archetype.
i think that exactly what need elemental spd mage to be competitive
A very cool tutor for mage that runs some elementals.

pretty solid, but will elemental be something?
Will fare better in wild, where theres a way to make a better and more consistent elemental deck with Jaina hero card

It's a giant water elemental holding Reno?
more cyclone support
another op card for mage... it's gotten to a point mage cards are so op that you can't even argue anymore lol
