  • Very good card.

  • Great for single target removal.

  • Usually when you buff the weapon you want it to go face, but this might turn playable in Standard with some Value Rogue or Thief Rogue if they resurrect it. I don't really see it in Wild, Kingsbane hits face, Thief Rogue has plenty of Lifesteal already.

  • Self-Sharpening Sword will love this. Basically a survival tool for Rogue as you can clear away minions without getting punished, but is that really what they need? Not so sure about that.

OMG: I just remember Wild has a thing called Kingsbane. You're welcome!

  • This seems really strong. Immune while attacking on a high durability weapon is a lot of removal.

  • "You don't pick the wand, silly"

  • DAAAAMN SON! Increíble un wild with the lifesteal weapon

  • Rogue with a hammer/mallet?

Anyway, do Weapon Rogues need Immunity since they go face anyway? Quite crazy in Wild with Kingsbane though.

  • So the trend of no class healing for Rogue continues, but this may be the next best thing!

  • In Wild: Kingsbane Rogue got a new toy...

In Standard: Currently Rogue only goes face and so this isn't that important. But depending on the meta this will find a home.

  • this seems strong. the "immune" part is the key word

  • wild kings bane rogue sends its regards

  • Kingsbane losing lifesteal, but gaining immunity. I think it could see play.

  • 5/5 stars OP AF, must include in any rogue deck, and WILL completely decimate wild. This card will get nerfed as well, because Kingsbane with infinite "immune while attacking" is insane, and weapon rogue in standard is already one of the best decks and it will just get stronger with this. You play a taunt minion? Too bad, they don't even take damage from attacking your taunt minion now...

Please Blizz stop printing these OP aggro rogue cards, most of us rogue player (And me) just want to get more support for fun archetypes like burgle rogue, or at least some archetypes that are actually interactive and fun to play as and against, instead of just "hehe me swing face with weapon"... :(

Edit: And it's 1 cost, so Wandmaker generates it... :(

    • Auto include

  • Kingsbane and Spectral Cutlass love this one

  • it will make mill rogue much more valiable

  • This is very good ! Cheap Card to activate Combos , can work as a Removal and buffs up your Weapon.

Could be an auto Include in most Rogue Decks.

  • Kingsbane control!

  • this is certainly helpful to keep around for that pesky taunt thats holding u from a win

  • OP ! We'll see the ooze along all the year, those weapon interactions in rogue and warrior will force us to counter play.

  • rogues just go face anyway but in wild this one is broken

  • Great card for a control rouge deck in the future.Rogue needed stuff like this is like your making your weapon like the weapon you get from your quest card. For aggro it only is good for the 1 attack buff but i dont see this in that deck.

  • Weapon buffs are almost always good in rogue, so I expect this to see play.

But more likely you'll get if off wandmaker most of the time. Its certainly a nice card to have when you're playing slower rogue decks, but in aggro rogues, its perhaps better to just play Toxicologist

Kingsbane and Spectral Cutlass love this one

Kingsbane at wild is a pure aggresive deck with pirates and weaponbuffs. Being inmune while attacking doesn't care when you just hit face.

  • If I could give this 2.5 stars I would. The slower Steeldancer weapon Rogue might want this: use weapon to clear taunts while minions go face.

  • Wild card to make Kingsbane more powerful :-/

  • This is good. This is what Rogue weapons should be. They got out of control recently because Rogues could increase damage AND durability, and weapons became a brainless win condition. But this card will only be worth the cost if you want the immunity when attacking minions.

  • Well this is a nice way to encourage control rogue... that sounds so weird to say 😅

I view this as basically healing which rogue desperately needs, and it's a 1 cost spell, so great combo activator. Regardless of how the meta will shape up, I'm guessing this will see play anywhere.

  • In most situations I don't think you want to hit minions with your weapons, specially if they are not generated by a hero power so I don't think this is good since the buff is too little and the effect does not do what you need it to do.
About wild I find it strange that a kingsman would prioritize minions but I would like to see that anyway.

  • Great card, but has a lot of competition in the 1-mana spell slot. Might find a way in Wild Rogue weapon decks (Odd/Kingsbane) or even in standard after a possible nerf of Nitroboost Poison. Still, it's a great spell to generate.

  • Oh baby, wild Kingsbane control decks could be a thing again...

  • Can be really good in wild. But in standard might be too slow... weapons are mostly done by aggressive rogues and those don't care about immunity

  • Compared to Deadly Poison, you get immunity for 1 less attack. Pretty good deal. Decent 1-cost cards are always welcomed by Rogue as a combo enabler.

  • More support for weapon rogue? Kingsbane and odd rogue will also benefit a lot in wild!

  • Solid card for a number of archetypes, will be played

  • Honestly, not a very good card in standard. 1 attack is not impactful enough, and saving a few damage points isn't worth it since you're usually attacking quite small stuff or your opponent's face anyway. Might see play in Wild Kingsbane Rogue tho.

  • This is low-key one of the best Rogue cards I've ever seen printed in an expansion. Rogue has always had a hard time with using life as a resource because of how little good neutral healing exists, but this goes a long way to making Rogue a really strong weapon class. (Maybe because Blizzard is rotating so many classic and basic Rogue cards with their core set, they're feeling empowered to make good Rogue cards for a change.)

  • I really like it, I'M just not sure if Rogues can go in this direction.

Currently, all of the good weapon stuff kind of wants you to just hit face, while this clearly pushes a more board centric Rogue (which I'm not sure exists).

I'M not saying this is bad, I'm just saying it might be redundant unless Rogues get a good reason to play the board instead of just killing you

  • I don't think this is terribly OP, but it will see a ton of play since it mitigates one of rogues biggest weaknesses.

I am not worried about this bringing Kingsbane back in wild since Kobold Stickyfinger is a card.

  • Seems super strong. Definitely could be strong with the new Assassin's Blade

  • Another card more suitable for Wild, but who knows.

  • Why use two slot for this card? You won't when you play rogue and try to kill the opponent. If you buff the weapon is for damage not for trade

  • Nerf incoming.

They really seem to like to break Kingsbane Rogue this last patches...

Thank god rogue is my main class, but I wouldn't mind this nerfed to a "this turn" effect.

  • Wow! Weapon rogue with removal

    • With the new taunts we have seen and Sap leaving, going face for Rogue in standard may not be as easy as it was.  Agree on Kingsbane, one of the ways I used to beat Kingsbane was to have taunts with Divine Shield, it guaranteed damage.  Not anymore.

  • Ooff, gonna be auto included with Kingsbane rogue in Wild)

  • You might expect the Rogue to use this to clear a big Taunt now that Sap is gone, but that's not how it's going to work. Rogue still wants every precious charge of every weapon to hit face if at all possible, so they will just shift to tools like Assassinate and Battlecry- or Combo-based removal to clear the way.

This card might see play as yet another damage booster, but the Immune thing isn't very relevant. Paralytic Poison will be the first card cut as Rogue gets better ways to contest the board.

  • Very nice card, useable for many occasions

  • Seems a bit much for that 1-mana threshold, and yeah thanks to Wild Kingsbane, this will probably get a nerf, making the immune effect temporary.

  • Decent card for Standard, not so much for Wild I think... too many competing cards over there.

  • Oh wow, this is broken in Kingsbane inw ild right, but who knows if this'll even be good in standard

  • Very strong. Sure, maybe Rogue will just SMOrc all the live-long day and never waste weapon charges on removal, but a card like this provides new options for almost no downside; it takes up a deck slot, but even that's not true if you generate it. I like the flavor, paralyzing the target so it can't counterattack, but Rogues using maces/hammers is sacrilege.

  • Thankfully too weak to go weapon aggro rogue, but looks to be more in line with a control archetype. Maybe a late game alternative for rogue, but needs more cards to support it

  • Seems neat. In wild of course this is strong. In standard....not sure what to think of this as much. There are some decent high durability weapons but most of them have been used to hit face. So if that trend continues then this won't be amazing.

  • Guess what is getting nerfed because of Kingsbane?

  • If you're using weapons- wait, you're a Rogue, using weapons is your thing, you're running two of these.

  • Decent card for wild but needs more support in standard

  • Cool card. Weapons Rogue is now IMMUNE

  • Don't think this will fit in the aggro weapon rogue deck, because they mostly want to hit face with the weapon.

    • Wild is gonna have a time with this. There are also still plenty of ways to buff weapon durability in standard and Assassin's Blade is moving to 5 durability, so this seems like a decent card at least.

  • Nice idea for weapon control decks.

  • all I can think is Kingsbane

  • I thought I had commented on this card already, but maybe not here.  Anyways, my initial thought was that it seemed weak (thinking about standard).

But then I thought some more and it's cheap (can enable combos), adds incremental damage, and can be used to control board without damaging your face.  So basically a solid to great Rogue card, despite the small buff!

  • I don't know if Paralytic Poison sees play in Weapon or Kingsbane Rogue (in Wild) as we know them today. Both decks have been hyper-tuned to pump out as much face damage and want to swing face with their weapon. In these decks, the Rogue doesn't really care about taking face damage if they have to trade, since they are the ones putting on pressure. This being said, the immune aspect of this card isn't worth running a weapon buff that has half the output of Deadly Poison as you'd rather run a card that develops more damage or pressure. All I see this doing is diluting the pool for Wandmaker along with Yoink!.

  • OMFG WHY

  • As everyone has said, this just makes Kingsbane in wild even more flexible. It looks strong in standard, but I don't know how often you are using your weapon on removal in standard.

  • This has potential.

  • Calling the nerf "for this turn" in the future. Rating it two stars, as it will break everything and be dead after the nerfs.

  • Art is perfect!

  • I love this for Kingsbane

  • Good in standard and maybe too good in wild.

  • definitely will try this in my burglar rogue with cutlass in wild

  • Maybe not immediately in April, but eventually this will become totally busted with Kingsbane. Luckily, we have Kobold Stickyfinger as a counter these days.

  • No buff when it's going face!

  • Kingsbane can get infinite immunity which isn't as good as infinite lifesteal like in the past, but can still prove handy.

  • I think it's not as OP as people say, in standard at least. Sure, it's nuts in Kingsbane, but I think it will be a one of sometimes at best, but hey, I'm just some n00b on a website.

  • I guess another +1 boost to Self-Sharpening Sword will be nice. And if you're forced to trade, at least you won't take damage.

  • Well i guess they're trying to make weapon rogue a more control archetype

  • Chadsbane Rogue reborn and rearmed.

  • Obviously Kingsbane material. This is like half-lifesteal. Like the flavor too.
Might make the deck a bit weaker to control though, but it's good against it anyway

  • It should be okay in standard after Nitroboost inevitably gets nerfed, but Kingsbane just hits face in wild and there are better buffs there as well.

  • If this doesn't become a one-of in some popular variant of Kingsbane Rogue, then I'm bad at judging cards.

  • Another great pull from Wandmaker

  • Rogue weapons mostly go face at the moment anyway, although this could potentially allow them to trade with it which could be pretty nice. Rogue likes any abilities it has to "gain" life, so this could very well be a good card for them. It can also be generated by Wandmaker too.

  • Kingsbane this is gonna be a thing in wild.

Standard "Immune" is never a bad thing. Not sure it'll be strong but it will be good off of Wandmaker.

  • The hammer is overkill.

  • In standard neither rogue archetype needs this kind of control tool, I so totally useless, I think it will see no play. On the other hand in wild mode, some experiments can be done with Kingsbane.

  • Doesn't seem too amazing in standard, but could *maybe* work in wild.

  • good card

  • Interesting -- poisons will be part of the Nature school it seems.

  • Seems pretty good for healing against faster decks. Not bad as a buff either in certain cenarios.

  • AnonymousUser's Avatar

Outside of SSS, there's also buffed Assassin's Blade to work with and Swinetusk Shank for a pseudo-Spectral Cutlass. Very interesting.

  • Will (midrange board centric) Weapon Rogue be a thing whit this card? We can using the weapons to clear the board while building your own with Jandice BarovSteeldancer and Shadowstep

  • This looks extremely powerful

  •  Can Rogue even have nature spells?

  • Seems to have more value in rogue decks that want to control the board rather than the aggro variant.

The aggressive ones want to go face, so immune has little value.

  • Looks good for wild. Maybe not for standard.

  • Currently Rogue only goes face and so this isn't that important.

  • Like the other ppl there I've think of how many things can kingsbane do with this in wild... and on standard is obviously strong too!

  • Yay, more poisons for me to drink...

  • a pseudo health restore for rogue - though not sure how this poison, weapon buff archetype will take off

  • good

  • Good if you want to start using your weapon to control the board without sacrificing Health, instead of what Weapon Rogue currently does, which is hit face. I think this card is one of the weaker Poisons, mainly because most of what it does is irrelevant to current weapon decks.

  • Seems not good enough for nowadays meta.

  • Great tool for control

  • Pretty useful

  • Rogues prefer to go face with their weapons so I don't think this makes sense in Standard. In Wild maybe as a one-off in Kingsbane Rogue but even then I'm not sure you can afford a deck slot when the deck wants to go face anyway.

  • In standard there might be a tempo deck with Poison weapon, including this card.

  • rogue doesn't wanna trade SMOrc

  • Immunity while attacking was the whole reason anyone played Bazaar Burglary. I feel like this is a sleeper threat.

  • Very strong card if you need to clear out Taunts with your big weapon. I don't think it's amazing, but then I'm not a huge Weapon Rogue player - maybe this pushes it over the edge.

  • This is pretty amazing really.  Rogue tends to suffer from the dings that you take when attacking with face and from a lack of healing.  With Kingsbane in wild this has the potential to be absolutely brutal!

  • Strong will the new weapon.

Hitting big, annoying minions without taking a scratch? That's value.
