We've datamined changes to Hearthstone Duels cards that are coming in Patch 22.2.0 on January 25. Here are all the details!

  • Dragonbone Ritual Now revives in 3 turns (Up from 2).
  • Oops, All Spells! Renamed from "Ooops, All Spells!".
    • This is a balance change because now it is no longer annoying.

  • Just round up all the popular treasures and nerf them all is the philosophy behind this apparently.

    That massive nerf to deathstrider though. I think its because of that treasure that reduces all deathrattles to 1 mana 1/1s, because that's practically the only way to cheese in this deck.

    • It's not a different philosophy than the usual Constructed balance changes we get, after all, and I don't see much of a reason why it shouldn't be. Pretty much all of these are more than justified in my book.

    • I'm perfectly happy to see all the popular treasures die.

    • Deathrattle Hunter was strong even before the new 1/1 deathrattle passive got added with mummy magic and double deathrattle passive treasures.

      • Its about the severity of the nerf. At 4 mana, that basically kills the treasure. Because in the first 3 wins, that's simply less efficient than your hero power, and certainly without that passive that reduces deathrattles to 1 mana 1/1s, its a lot to ask for this card to ever get value.

        3 mana nerf would have been more appropriate, but instead its 4 mana without better stats. It got nuked, there's no way around it.

          Sorry dapper, gonna hard disagree with you.  Not all treasures are meant to be equal at the same point in a run.  There was no way that damn bird was balanced at 2 mana.  I can't tell you how many times at 5+ wins I'd have a hunter on turn 2 play a 1/1 (shrunken deathrattle) and trigger it with the strider, nearly winning the game on turn 2 from a simple 2 card combo.   

  • This surely isn't everything for Duels if Regis is going to do a reveal Video.

    • They have said it was a big patch for Duels and balance changes are just minor patch's I believe. Also about a week or so ago I went into Duels and noticed it briefly said "Alterac Valley" instead of "Wizard Duels" at the top of the splash screen, tried to screenshot it but failed. If I had to guess I'd say we are getting additional heroes (I'd say new heroes but these balance changes suggest the current heroes will stick around).

  • That Bruising nerf is huge. Much-needed nerfs all around. (Shadow Word Void is still stupid and should be removed, though.)

      I'm still waiting on the priest passive hero power to get nerfed or something.  like "only shadow spells trigger this effect" or something
