New Warlock Spell - Curse of Agony

Given the amount of draw power that exists in standard this is a card to definitely watch out for. It reminds me of Bomb Warrior BUT it scales insanely quickly even at only 2 copies thats 21 damage and if u use Tamsin with them thats 78 damage tho ur opponent needs to draw into them

Its basically bombs for warlock. Used properly this card is just absurd, dealing 21 damage for 2 mana. Combined with tamsin, its game ending damage.

But Garrote it is not. Your opponent can play around this. Just fill your hand and burn the curses away, or just pretend they don't exist and play your game. Because honestly, even when bomb warrior was terrorizing standard, it still usually took all the way till turn 10 to properly win the game against anything that's not aggro.

And then there's the problem of where this card belongs. Controlock is the obvious one, but you can't even hope to play it with Tickatus because then you'd burn your own curses off. And whether or not its game ending you're still using 3 cards off your hand to do nothing but pray to the rng gods that your opponent draws them. Is there any reason why you're not just playing fatigue questlock or owlock instead?

All the potential in the world. But we'll have to see whether those big brained pros can make it work better than fatigue quest and owlock.

I hated Bomb Warrior and this sounds like Bomb Warrior with extra steps. Not a fan and I hope it ends up as pointless as it looks. Thank fuck Questlock exists, at least I don't lose to draw RNG against that one.

2x Curse of Agony + Tamsin Roame for another 2= 12 agonies = 78 fatigue damage if i calced that right. That's honestly terrifying if your unlucky... And that for only a 5 mana combo... Wow that seems busted. Yeah it's not instant damage, and Bomb warrior showed that it's very unreliable. But the big difference about Bomb warrior and Curse of Agony is that during the Bomb warrior days there were was a lot less card draw, if bomb warrior was in standard now it would be a absolute menace of a deck, which is why i'm honestly afraid of Curse of Agony... Let's hope it's not as bad as i fear it is, otherwise they might have to add Skulking Geist to the next core set...

This feels just not the best.  In a meta with The Demon Seed, the last thing you want to do is let them take damage on their turn

It's the best. In meta where Rogue rogue draws his entire deck in 5 turns is amazing.

Well , at first glance i thought it was just ok but the more i think about it, the stronger it looks - i mean you can Copy it with Tamsin for example to get even more Agonies in the Deck .... could be very dangerous!

Fatigue damage even before your deck is empty. Lovely.
