  • A cheaper Rumbletusk Shaker, whose token has only 1 health. Good in arena, but I don't think this would make the cut in quest paladin.

    Good point. ;)

  • More like a better Harvest Golem, which is sometimes good enough to see play. Paladin needs cheap Reborn minions for its quest, and I think this fits the bill better than some of the 1 and 2 drops. Bone Wraith will definitely make the cut in that kind of deck, and this might help make it viable.

  • Nothing too special about this but i can see it being used in arena at the very least.

I guess you are right when comparing to Harvest Golem. But after seeing the whole set, what's the real pay-off of the quest reward? What's the real win-condition and why not play the well-known magnetic buff deck instead?

Why not both? reborn + magnetic stuff, the hero power goes well with mechano egg after all.

I don't see it either though.. the mech none quest shell looks stronger.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that.

When I saw the quest for the first time, I considered the possibility of copying your magnetized mechs and creating more good targets for Kangor's Endless Army, but yesterday I was thinking only about consistency. Now that the whole SOU set was revealed, I'm really disappointed by the majority of reborn minions:

(apparently the list is not updated yet)

Very few of them are worth adding in our decks and if their number isn't reasonable enough, drawing all 5 needed pieces and completing the quest would be so hard to do. So yeah. I would like to quote linkblade91 regarding designing cards around new keywords:

I'm not a fan of the Quest being locked into this particular expansion, when the others are more open-minded like the old Quests. We have no indication that Reborn will continue beyond Saviors of Uldum - it seems quite unlikely, at any rate - so Making Mummies will be forever reliant on whatever Reborn minions we acquire in the here and now.

  • My thought exactly.. the paladin quest is the only one directly linked to a set specific keyword the rest of the quests can get further support in other sets reborn seems really just from this set and MAYBE another one or two inclusions in the future.

as well the quest is the most restricted you gto a pool of reborn minions to work with and you MUST choose from that pool, the battlecry pool is much larger and diverse than the reborn mechanic

I think the paladin quest is the worst designed quest this expansion for those reasons alone as well as probably being just bad unless there is some minion that if you copy it for 2 mana is game breaking.
