Southsea Captain bugged?

Hey everyone, I was just wondering why does Southsea Captain work the way it does... When played he grants +1 attack and +1 health to all pirates as it should, but if I kill it, the health total of other pirates doesn't revert back by one.
If this was a battlecry I would understand the reasoning, but being a temporary buff to your pirates (as long as the named card is in play) why would the +1 health stick?

Minions cannot die from losing health from aura health buffs. Why? I have no clue, I was a noob when that change was added. I think it has something to do with Finja?
Otherwise, minions do lose the +1 health from Southsea Captain when it dies.
Edit: I forgot to mention that damaged minions get to keep the buff. Just the rules of the game, I suppose.
Your face is already dead
Well I played against a warrior today, and to my surprise after killing the Southsea Captain, other pirates stayed at 2 health, instead of going to one
It's not a bug, because Stormwind Champion and any other card that buffs health when presence at board does the exact same thing.
I can't give any explanation, it's just how it works. But the buffs to health will be removed if other minions has full health when "aura" cards destroyed.
