Save Rewards Track Hero Portrait

I was wondering if it will be possible to "save" the level 100 rewards track hero portrait for the inevitable inclusion of a death knight at the release of March of the Lich King. Does anyone know what happens if one doesn't make a choice before the next x-pac launches?

Last track I think they posted a statement that basically said any unclaimed rewards would be claimed automatically.
But I didn't test this, I just recall reading it. So if that's true again, I don't think you can save your portrait pick for a Death Knight, if those are even going to be included in the same reward portrait bucket.
I agree with DragonDraena.
Although getting to level 100 requires some dedication, it's also true that dailies and weeklies alone will get you there before the end of the expansion cycle. I suggest you claim your lvl 100 reward and then grind again once DK goes live.

Looks like there is a solution in place, for this and people experiencing the bug where it will not allow you to select a portrait:

• [Added 11/8] The team is aware that some players are unable to claim the Hero Skin at the end of the Rewards Track. The issue is expected to be fixed in Patch 25.0, when players will be prompted to make their Hero Skin selection upon login. All other rewards can be claimed normally and will be automatically granted with Rewards Track swap if not claimed by that time.
