Blood Treant bug?

Has anyone else tried to activate The Demon Seed with Blood Treant? I don't know if this is a bug, or if it doesn't qualify as "damage" since Blood Treant states "cost". At first I thought it was maybe a glitch, but when I tried it to fulfill the quest and after dropping Blightborn Tamsin and it just beat the hell out of my health... this I think needs to be addressed.
Anyone else see issues with the new cards?

I believe that's how "costs Health" works now: it is no longer considered damage, which is why you cannot protect yourself with Immune or something like Felstring Harp.
As linkblade91 mentioned, this intended behavior change was recently introduced in patch 26.0:
Your hero's Health will still be spent when playing a Health-cost card even if your hero has Immune (or Divine Shield). This also no longer counts as "taking damage" for other effects.
Lol, that makes the card almost irredeemably bad. I cant see whyd anyone would play it now. I initially thought it would actually be a niche play in wild at least. Oh well.
Even a 0 mana 1/1 rarely ever features in competitive play, and here's one thats only marginally bigger but cuts 1/6 of your health away.
On top of that, its really unintuitive to be honest. How'd anyone know how that works without having experienced it themselves?
In other card games, it's actually not uncommon for 'payment of life' to be different (and not count as) 'taking damage'. But I do agree that to players who don't have experience with other card games, it would be a bit confusing at first.
So if new rules means that this card doesn't even advance the Demon Seed quest when played, the only instance I thought it might actually be useful, then I guess the card is 100% trash then?
If they made this cost 2 health, or even 3, then maybe... MAYBE it could be included in an aggro/zoo type of list for early tempo plays. But at 5... fuck that!
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
I think it's intended to let you start using your healing effects even under a bunch of armor.
Back when Healadin was a deck, you wanted early damage (like the minion that converted most of your health to armor) so that you got value out of every little healing battlecry.
I'm not sure Druid has this kind of deck right now.
