The card is only good forged but quite useless in most other situations, and even after forged its only a middling card, a card that requires support to do anything useful.
So get forged and then graft yourself onto a big mech, so far so good. But what mech? Even if its voltron prime, that's turn 10, on mimiron its turn 7. So something needs to be alive for this to actually do something good, but that goes for all magnetic minions anyway. Rogue has yet to demonstrate that they can bank 2 mana without dying or in fact go to the late game at all without relying on tess shenanigans.
Unforged this is nothing special, it copies itself once, then both copies die on your opponent's turn. But forged, you can magnetize it to any mech and it will start copying itself. I don't know what mechs you'd want to copy, but it would either need to survive a turn, or be cheap enough to be played on the same turn as this.
So the dream for this card, maybe: Turn 2 forge. Turn 3 Mimiron, the Mastermind. Turn 4 forged Lab Constructor? You don't get a gadget due to magnetising not counting as playing a mech, however this can really snowball... If your not dead because you did nothing turn 2.
But most of the time, this will be a SLOW mech card which might be bad considering mech decks often are aggresive decks. And rogue is NOT that good as a slower class, unless they generate tons of value in a deck like burgle rogue. (Even though those decks have often been aggresive as well.)
I still think this will be an alright card in mech rogue, simply because doubling a big mech is very good and can snowball out of control. But simply a friendly reminder that because it's a magnetic mech, there are a lot of ways to generate this. So you will occasionally see this show up, even when playing (against) a non-rogue mech deck.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
