With the sale of the 3 shop hero portraits as well as the recent addition of the 1K win portraits I realised we have come quite far with the amount of hero portraits we could have gotten.
So I was wondering what hero portraits do you use for your classes? Mine are:
Druid: Elise
Hunter: Aleria
Mage: Jaina (1K fire mage one)
Paladin: Lady Liadrin
Priest: Lazul (I would love to get Tyrande though)
Rogue: Valeera
Shaman: King Rasthakhan
Warlock: Gul'dan
Warrior: Garrosh

I recently realized that you can use specific portraits for different decks.
Maiev for quest Rogue, Valeera for tempo etc.
Now my deck collection feels much more like a crowded tavern!
Yes this is true. Now you don't have to just play with one portrait forever.
Druid: Lunara

Mage: Kadghar
Paladin: Arthas
Priest: Tyrande (I sadly find the 1000 wins Anduin's potrait pretty terrible)
Rogue: Maiev
Shaman: Rasthakan
Warlock: Nemsy
Warrior: Deathwing
Warlock: Guldan (have the gnome but Gildan is better)
Paladin: Arthas (will use him over 1k uther when I get it)
Priest:trynde
Rogue:maiev
Druid:Lunara
Shaman:Thrall (got murgl thrall is better)
Warrior/Hunter/Mage default
For me, it depends on the decks I play.
Druid: Malfurion, but Elise for Quest
Hunter: Rexxar (grinding for 1k, less than 150 to go)
Mage: Medivh (less than 200 till 1k, no idea what to do then)
Paladin: Uther or Arthas
Priest: Anduin (would be willing to pay for Lazul for my thief deck!)
Rogue: Maiev, but would switch to Valeera if I ever got to 1.000
Shaman: Thrall, but Morrgl for Murloc decks
Warlock: Gul'dan, but Mecha Jaraxxus in Zoo Decks (don't like Nemsy)
Warrior: Garrosh, but will switch to Deathwing soon :-)
Druid: Elise

Shaman: Thunder King
Warrior: Deathwing
Warlock: Mecha Jarraxxus
Priest: Madame Lazul

I wish I could use Nemsy for every class. She's the ultimate BM machine. Not that I EVER do that!
Despite the growing variety of portraits, i find myself using the original ones for most classes, and will definitely use the 1k ones as soon as i get there (hopefully at least for Rogue and Hunter).
And i would still use them, even if i had alternate heroes.
The only exceptions are:
Druid: Elise (her Good game is super BM - You have legendary skills, my friend :-))
Mage: Khadgar
Shaman: Thunder King
Warrior: Deathwing
Warlock: Mecha Jarraxxus
Priest: Madame Lazul
Hunter: Alleria
Paladin: Arthas (Sir Annoy'o is too BM for my taste with his Heeeloooooooooo)
Rogue: Maiev
Priest - anduin
Druid - malfurion
Rogue - valeera
Paladin - uther
Hunter - rexxar
Mage - jaina
Warlock - guldan
Warrior - garrosh
Shaman - thrall
No interest in portraits.
Priest - Anduin (I'm really looking forward to get the 1k portrait since it looks so badass to me)
Druid - Lunara (will switch to Golden Malfurion once I get to 500 wins)
Rogue - Valeera (no big reasons to change)
Paladin - Arthas (although 1k Uther is dank: I'll decide when it will be time)
Hunter - Rexxar (hands down best golden animation)
Mage - Jaina (looking forward to get the 1k: little tits, big beauty)
Warlock - Gul'dan (not a fan of the 1k portrait, but it's not bad at all: golden Gul'dan looks dank though)
Warrior - Garrosh (fuck that fatass Magni, kinda unbothered by the 1k portrait)
Shaman - Morgl (will switch to Thrall once I get to 1k wins)
If my decks have a theme I'll usually try to compliment it with an appropriate portrait but that's not always possible.
Druid - Elise
Hunter - Aleria
Mage - Khadgar (Wish there was a Gnomish mage so it can tie a Mech mage together well)
Paladin - Arthas (Sir-Annoy-O for my mech decks)
Priest - Madame Lazul
Rogue - Valeera (The rogue heroes are not interesting IMHO)
Shaman - King Rastakhan for my Wild Shudder Shaman, The Thunder King for my elemental Shaman
Warlock - Nemsy
Warrior - Deathwing
Druid: Lunara
Rogue: Maiev
Paladin: Liadrin
Priest: Tyrande
All the others are the default heroes, though I wish I had Morgl for Shaman if only for my Murloc Shaman Decks.
I switch back and forth. I have a lot of hero portraits, only missing the paid ones as well as Nemsy and Liadrin. I usually decide which hero fits the decktype best, Tyrande for wall priest, 1k Anduin for combo, 1k Malfurion for token, Elise for quest, things like that.
I even have a separate cardback for my heroes -_-

Priest: 1K Anduin. Earned it, and it wasn't easy some years. Don't have Madam Lazul but do have Tyrande.
Warlock: Portals and handlock -- Mecha-Jaraxxus; Reno Lock, trolly/meme decks and Treachery Lock -- Nemsy.
Mage: 500 Jaina (340 from 1K). Would buy Khadgar.
Paladin: Arthas. He is the honest definition of paladin in Hearthstone -- ruthless SOB. Sir Annoyo for memes. Uther is a lying jackass (honor? You're tossing secrets and murlocs), and Liandrin I wouldn't obtain because she is the definition of uppity elf.
Shaman: King Rastakhan. "Dese tings happen!" is one of the best lines in a post-sorry world.
Druid: I set Elise as favorite, but unfortunately, I did not get any epic or legendary druid cards from the last expansion, so I actually don't have much experience using the skin. But Lunara is garbage.
Hunter: Default, but they both suck. I only play hunter these days because it counters some decks I hate more than this class.
Rogue: Maiev has style, but 1K Valeera has the look. Unfortunately I need 949 more wins on the ladder. But I would pay for Captain Eudora from the RoS single-player campaign.
Warrior: Default. Might buy Magni on sale if the class rebounds after the control nerfs and N'zoth overwhelming it.
