because mana cyclone needed more support
? it does. Without Flamewaker its non existent deck
Mana cyclone + sorcerers apprentice was already really good.
With the amount of spell generating mage can do it shouldn't be to hard to get a good turn with this card.
I guess it depends on how you define 'really good'. Couldn't see it anywhere in meta reports before Flamewalker came along
Big hand mage in Rise of Shadows?
Never seen a mage freezing your entire board/other shenanigans and regaining a full hand and the turn afterwards they drop a giant and CC it?
well...it kinda does
Despite how good Mana Cyclone is, Mage is not in a good spot at the moment on the ladder. This could give a push into the right direction with some much needed board presence which is severely lacking do to most decks being chock full of spells and support cards.
