  • 3 Wishes, 3 Legendary cards you hope to drop in the next packs.

    Here are mines:

    1. Kayn Sunfury (I don't think the card is as strong as many think, but I love the feeling of 'cheating' it has).
    2. Shadowjeweler Hanar
    3. Kanrethad Ebonlocke

    PS: i am going to instacraft Maiev Shadowsong, the card's just Rogue levels of Tempo AND Neutral.

    1. Lady Liadrin - I'm going to rebuild my The Last Kaleidosaur/Lynessa Sunsorrow deck and slot her in with the new Librams. I'm also going to try the same thing in Standard as a Pure Paladin deck.
    2. Kargath Bladefist - He seems too good, as in you'd need a reason NOT to run him.
    3. Don't really have a third for this expansion. I guess Kanrethad Ebonlocke can go in my Wild Demonlock deck.

    Honorary mention to Maiev Shadowsong, who I think might become ubiquitous if given the right meta. She could become a "need" rather than a want.

  • Uuuuh I like this thread idea. Here are my three wishes:

    1) Lady Liadrin - it is part of pretty much the only archetype I'm really looking forward to play (Libram Paladin). The card in itself is quite bad (vanilla 4/6 for 7 mana), but if they overcosted it so much I think it is because it is totally worth it. Plus Libram of Hope seems to be a sweet counter to Demon Hunters, a class that I think will be half of the meta once AoO hits.

    2) Zixor, Apex Predator - such a sweet card overall, in a class that can tutor it and its prime form, buff it, multiply its deathrattle and use it as an OTK quite easily. This is gonna be fun.

    3) Maiev Shadowsong - a lot of people think it will be Zilliax levels of popularity, so might as well just unpack it and save the 1600 dust right?

  • For the first time ever I want the Rogue legendaries. Secrets and Stealth minions is the flavour they should have had this entire time imo.

  • - Lady Liadrin - Love the libram synergy.

    - Metamorphosis - Because I like to win

    - Shadowjeweler Hanar - Secret rogue will likely be top tier. Though I doubt this card will be in it, I like to believe

    - Maiev Shadowsong - Its a neutral sap. And its Maiev Shadowsong.

    - Evocation - I'm convinced if tempo mage makes a comeback this will be at the forefront.

  • Lets see, 

    1. Kayn Sunfury. Like most of you, I am very intrigued and excited by this card. It is so flexible and useful in a manner of situations and it will act as a good finisher when your opponent plays a taunt. This is the first expansion of the year, so I will try and collect less "build around" cards and more "staple" cards that will go in a manner of decks.
    2. Maiev Shadowsong. This card is just too good in too many decks for me to justify not owning her. I imagine she will play a similar role to Zilliax in the coming years.
    3. Magtheridon. I am very excited for this card. I am not 100% sure how good it will be and I have higher crafting priorities, but I will be so happy if I open him. I really do think this will be a very powerful card as you can pair it with any small board clear to get a huge board clear.

    Honorable mentions:

    Keli'dan the Breaker, A very powerful and flexible card, but not the highest on my list of priorities.

    The Lurker Below, like Keli'dan, while this card looks fairly powerful and flexible, there are better legendaries to aquire.

    Any of the Hunter legendaries. I really like the look of hunter this set, big powerful beasts are a lot more appealing to me than lots of tiny beasts. But I don't want to commit my resources to putting together an experimental deck. I would rather get more flexible cards that can be used in more decks like Maiev.

  • 1 Shadowjeweler Hanar Card Image : Hoping Secrets will become something more then a 1 set thing for Rogue this time.

     

    2 Astromancer Solarian Card Image  : This will be a Fun Casino Mage Card in Prime Mode and even Baseline will be strong for Casino to use there spells.

     

    3 Maiev Shadowsong Card Image :  Will be a strong Lockdown card, as well as possibly a good reset/silence effect on buffed minions.

      I forgot the source, but Maiev won't remove buffs for the minion she dormants

      • Thats not what Shadow said on the comments of the card on Release

          I was asking around about this, and someone said that a developer confirmed that it does not lose buffs. Also, apparently it was tested in Boarcontrol's stream and the minion also did not lose buffs. 

          • Well then I guess this was misinformation at the time my mistake good to know didnt see that stream.

  • My current wishlist:

    1. Beastmaster Leoroxx, Zixor, Apex Predator - Beast hunter intrigues me. I think there will be 2 archetypes: 1 will be multiple beasts one then cheating our charge minions with Leoroxx as the wincon, and another will be the single beast one with focusing tutoring and buffing zixor. Not sure if one, both, or neither will be viable.
    2. Murgur Murgurgle, Lady Liadrin - Midrange Paladin was my favorite deck before and the Librams make it possible again.
    3. Maiev Shadowsong - Not a particularly interesting card (for me) but she's a neutral and I agree she will be a staple in most decks.

    Honorable Mention: Evocation - I want to try a pure spell mage, I don't think it will be viable but I want to try,

    From a power perspective though, I think rogue will be king again.

  • I don't like this thread. I don't like it because this is a tough one.

    1. Beastmaster Leoroxx - I love playing Hunter and I believe he's going to be very strong.
    2. Evocation - I'm a sucker for Mage and the golden art is incredible. I love the idea of playing a bunch of spells without needing crazy card draw. Of course with my luck, I'll get 5 Pyroblasts and won't be able to play anything.
    3. Reliquary of Souls - Res Priest y'all! If you can get this thing living for a turn, you can give it some nice buffs which should be fun in the early game. The Prime though, Reliquary Prime, is where the real fun begins. A really sticky minion, your opponent is going to be forced to make some unfavorable trades into it, or blow crazy board clear. I'm glad I finally started to love Priest last year because I think I would have overlooked this card otherwise.

  • I'm wishing that RNG Santa Genie will bring me Astromancer Solarian, Kargath Bladefist, and Shadowjeweler Hanar.

  • My wish list contains Metamorphosis, Kayn Sunfury, Zixor, Apex Predator, Teron Gorefiend, Kargath Bladefist and Beastmaster Leoroxx in that order.

    What made me really happy yesterday was that after reaping the HoF dust and disentchanting garbage rotating cards I ended up with 18.000 dust which is enough to get those legendaries and then some more for my wild collection (still lacking Umbra, Reno, Kazakus and many more). :-))

  • Honestly, the only legendary I want badly are Maiev Shadowsong, which I'm probably going to craft golden because she's absolutely nutty and you can just throw her into any deck and she'll be great.

    That being said, there are a couple of other cards I do want to get, although mainly for just hot garbage decks or because I find them funny. The first being Reliquary of Souls because its prime art is hysterical to me for whatever reason.

    As for other cards, Bulwark of Azzinoth so I can make turbo fog a reality in Hearthstone and try to crush some people's dreams by playing a deck whos literally only win condition is dead mans hand slowly fatiguing the opponent (no coldlights, thats cheating). I Suppose Evocation and Beastmaster Leoroxx are pretty cool as well.

  • This is from a wild and sometimes standard player's point of view.

    1) Teron Gorefiend Just so many ways you can abuse his deathrattle and the ones you are gonna pop.

    2) Zixor, Apex Predator Cool card that synergises with all the other new hunter cards

    3) Beastmaster Leoroxx I just love this card.

    Honorable mentions:  Kayn Sunfury of course. He looks broken since your only way to stop this is healing yourself for a ton of hp/armor

     Maiev Shadowsong so like every body gets a 4 mana Sap with a body. Cool.
