I mean Captain Greenskin saw some play in Pirate Warrior back in the day, so I don't see why this would not see any play at all in a more weapon swinging focused Warrior deck. I guess missing a tribe hurts its consistency a bit?

TBH, I've never bothered to check the math. I'll try to watch the buffs more closely next time.

I can already tell this is gonna be my free legendary, cause I can't imagine a world where I'm happy opening this.

If this wasn't legendary there could have been some potential for a weapon-focused strat, where you just remove everything your opponents play with spells and smash face with weapon. As legendary it's way too inconsistent to be a main strat and thus is pretty much useless. Now if this was in Rogue, there'd be way more potential with all sorts of weapons (Spectral Cutlass, Kingsbane, Self-Sharpening Sword, Swinetusk Shiv) since Rogue does a much better job capitalising on having a weapon up through all the poisons.

I get that they are summoned together - I believe that should be true also in case of some evolve effects, but when the main body leaves the battlefield, the summoned parts remain, right? And is that true also for the evolve effects?

For example I have Unstable Evolution and use it on a 6 drop -> I randomly get this Leviathan and it appears with his Claw. But then I use the Evolution again on Leviathan's body... so I get random 8 drop and the Claw remains on the battlefield?

I don't think this will have a very big impact on the meta, but it looks like it could have some fun uses in some niche decks.

Something, but not quite as much as it seems. Part of it is that it looks weak contextually since we're in a world where the Juggernaut makes it redundant in the historically obvious deck (pirates). We also know very little about what weapons warrior will have available at this point.

As far as actual weaknesses go, any mass weapon buff hits the issue of only having one weapon usable at a time, which is made worse by increasing their durability. So there are serious diminishing returns with effects like these, and in most games I'd be surprised if its buff applies to more than 2 weapons that are actually used. At which point it's not setting a particularly high bar for 'weakest legendary'.

I'm suprised this has no rush and taunt and doesn`t draw 2 cards.

Yeah, I've always had that gif in the back of my mind. I just had fun reading through the Reddit thread Matt discussed the design process on (https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/al4ljx/captain_hooktusk_process/).

I haven't had any luck finding out who her voice actor is though. It's a shame HS still doesn't credit anyone other than the card artists in-game. Even artists for hero portraits go un-credited, which is so weird when they tell us for cards.

What transformed her? And how is the process distinct from N'Zoth transforming the highborne into Naga? In other words, let's have a philosophical debate over whether Lady Ashvane is in fact a naga :P

They can just give it the same echo ruling specifically for that card without having to actually give it echo. It's for the better anyways

Hobart also didn't buff weapons in hand and most importantly don't ignore the +1 durability. +1 durability means one extra swing which means infinitely more value than a single attack  point.

Any weapon that has great value would love this. Outrider's Axe alone is enough of a reason to play this because it gives you not only potentially one more card but also a far better ability to actually get the draws.

Well, interesting card, that's for sure
Fits both of current Shaman archetypes (Gives more dmg to Burn Shaman and survivability to Freeze Shaman)
Will it see play? Well, If I had to say 'Yes' or 'No' right away, I'd go for yes option, this card is pretty flexible, I am sure it will find its spot in a deck or two

I still have a notification for achievements but it doesn't actually show I completed achievement.  When I'm on my phone it says I have a duels achievement but on my Kindle it says it's in ranked.  I thought they were supposed to fix this no?

As others have mentioned, the fact that this can hit face makes this more valuable than I initially thought.
