This is probably going to see play in almost every paladin deck, because it's draw, tutors, it has immediate impact on the board, it works well with Handbuffs (On the main body at least) AND it works really well alongside other popular cards in paladin such as Varian, King of Stormwind. And if it's near the bottom of your deck, you can Radar Detector as well to find it. This is just so flexible.
Also i feel like this is a really good The Garden's Grace target, if you run that holy spell as well. Maybe Holy Mech Paladin will be a thing?
And on top of that, we haven't seen the Azsharan/sunkun card yet. So that might be an additional reason to play The Leviathan as well. What an amazing card!
This is an insane card, this is a must-include for ANY shaman deck. It's also a elemental, so Granite Forgeborn can also discount it. This card is just insanely good.
Edit: RIP wild. Blizz has to nerf this card already because alongside Unstable Evolution this will break wild. Remember rolling Sorcerer's Apprentice or Radiant Elemental was an insane highroll that stole games? How about getting that reliably as early as turn 3....
Is it really? Shaman has 3 fire spells, out of which only the new 1 mana fire spell gains any benefit from the +2 spell damage. As for the nature spells, there really aren't many great ones after rotation (barring whatever is going to be in the coreset), but so long as there are at least a couple cheap ones, getting a 1 mana discount on them all is just ok.
The Frost part actually seems quite influential, since every Shaman deck will effectively have 4 copies of Windchill, and presumably at least a couple other frost spells.
I don't know how this works (i've found it days ago looking for old "Throne of the Tides" cards), but there are some people still playing and creating new sets of cards: WoW TCG Reborn
Your original statement is meaningless, which is why nobody is arguing against it. You literally ignored two of the three effects of this card, and your only comment is that it's uncreative. It's like saying Zilliax is uncreative because it's a 5 mana taunt.
Why should anybody even care that it's uncreative? Not every card needs to be super flashy with some new mechanic.
And obviously you'll see creative custom cards, it's not like Blizzard is a paragon of innovative card design with the most creative minds on the planet. You say that as if custom cards are supposed to be less inspired than officially printed cards. It's like saying the Mona Lisa is just a painting of a random woman; I've seen more creativity out of Marvel comic books.
Looks good. I'm fairly certain all Shaman decks will run a multicaster package so I doubt that this won't see play somehow. In Freeze Shaman it's basically free healing and occasionally it has some other payoffs as well.
You don’t want Kobold Illusionist to hit it and it’s kind of slow, hard to dump from hand early unless you have the coins. Would really mess with those turn 1 prep Sketchy Information plays, Hanar kind of does that but it’s only one card that costs only 2 mana to dump if you need to and has a unique effect that is worth it for the lategame and even the early game if it doesn’t get removed. It’s also a must-remove even if you dump it early so often leads to premium removal being wasted on it that later isn’t available for your big minions.
So there's ofc a specific order you want to attack in, first The Leviathan to Dredge up a card, then The Leviathan's Claw to draw it. Also 14/7 in stats with 2 divine shields means this Colossal minion will need to be removed afterwards everytime.
This Colossal minion is also good or bad depending on the meta, if it'll be board based or not.
The card does plenty of things, but as it stands I struggle to see what the win con is with this card. The supposed idea is that a flexible legendary like this will be auto-include into all decks, but is it really?
In standard we have only Scalding Geyser as the only burn fire spell available, and the only AoE fire spell already does 10 damage. so +2 fire spell damage comes at an expensive, not premium price of 3 mana.
Nature spell reduction is good, since a large majority of shaman's spells are nature oriented. But since there's no spell damage, nor a nature draw spell, what is this supposed to accomplish?
And then there's 3 health per frost spell. You're paying 3 mana + whatever frost spell to gain maybe 6 health. Might as well just play Bracing Cold then. Even Cookie the Cook heals better for less mana.
Of course everything can change simply by printing a version of Ignite, some kind of nature Cram Session, and perhaps more ways to cheat mana for other spells. Until then this card merely dreams big but accomplishes little.
I have no WOW background, but I'm also enjoying Hooktusk. Fun voice lines, great art. I assumed her arm decorations were tattoos (pirates would have tattoos, right?), but gill-upgrades makes sense too.
It's not easy to tell a story in just one piece of art, but there are a few series to enjoy, like the ranked spells from the Barrens. I particularly like the Druid one.
I first assumed they were tattoos too, until I noticed the faint shark fin which definitely disappears when she's not in the water. It's a bit tricky to tell for sure whether they are consistent when in and out of the water until we have higher resolution images to look at. Take their Supplies! and Take their Gold! only really show her right arm, while Pirate Admiral Hooktusk itself only really shows the left. Take their Ship! would resolve it, if we had a high enough resolution version to be convinced the 'gills' are absent. I think they are, but the contrast between the two colours is pretty small so I'm still unsure. Either way, she's definitely got some shark magic going on.
I also liked how the ranked spells told their own little stories. Spells generally have an easier time of it since they depict actions, while minions have to fill the frame with 1 particular character, so we usually can't see what's going on around them.
This legendary is so damn flexible, that's probably his 2nd name 😅This legendary can easily slot into the current burn/freeze shaman but has so many other applications and just thinking about wild... it might break wild.
The best effect would probably be the nature spells cost (1) less, but the +2 fire spell damage is nothing to scoff at coz Shaman has a wide array of fire damaging spells.
I would be very surprised if this legendary doesn't see play.
This card is bafflingly flexible that it misses the mark on where it counts most. The very epitome of a jack of all trades master of none. The spell damage for fire is great, but so far there's only one real burn fire spell. The nature cost reduction is also great, but since it doesn't raise their spell damage, youre cheating mana for a non-existent payoff. And then there's frost spells which gains you armor, which sounds great, but the gain is only a mere 3 per spell on top of the 3 mana investment for this card.
Will this see play? Im sure it will in some capacity, especially if there are better fire spells down the line. But for now? You're better off playing a card that actually raises spell damage so you can win with.
Right now, the only thing that excites me about this card is that you can play spidertank on 3 that can never be ignored on board. That's basically it.
To strong, especialy in wild... evolve shaman broken ( All evolve spell is nature), control shaman also good, aggro shaman for sure meta. Good job blizzard u give shaman most broken card in hearthstone history.
New Paladin Minion - The Leviathan
This is AMAZING.
If you attack with The Leviathan first and The Leviathan's Claw 2nd you can tutor a card that's on the bottom of your deck.
If you attack with The Leviathan's Claw first and The Leviathan 2nd you can draw a card AND tutor your next draw.

It feels super solid, but not completely broken.

Not really, Shaman can make pretty good use out of Multicaster. This just gives you a bit more benefit for building around it.

Honestly not bad. Also I wonder if Galvanizer is in the Core Set. Lots of expensive mechs that you'd wanna ramp into.
