  • New Neutral Minion - Queen Azshara

    Quote From Caro

This is ofc, the day 1 legendary I will craft... maybe golden

Maybe she'll be on the Reward Track? Could be the diamond, too

  • Storybook Brawl Has Been Acquired by FTX, a Cryptocurrency and NFT Exchange

Even with proof of stake, maintaining a distributed ledger is a lot harder than a centralized storage of who owns what. I haven't seen any proposed use of NFTs in games yet that does something that cannot be done easier with a traditional database.

In theory I like distributed technology: the web should become more decentralized if we want to avoid a handful of megacorps running the world. In practice though, blockchain tech is mostly used for speculation and crime, and has solved very few real-world problems.

  • Barbed Nets is a New Hunter Card in Hearthstone's Voyage to the Sunken City Expansion

i like that blizz is printing more multi-targeted cards as opposed to random target cards, but also, what happened to moving away from face hunter? this feels like an easy include in both face and questline hunter (another high skill and fair deck people love to play against).

  • Barbed Nets is a New Hunter Card in Hearthstone's Voyage to the Sunken City Expansion

It'll likely only proct once so no double quest tick shenanigans. In most cases it'll likely just be another arcane shot, because why not? The condition is too restrictive for quest hunter to actually take advantage of the multi targetting UI.

Maybe it'll be in other hunters as well, but that might well depend whether we can insert enough nagas into the deck to make it work. So far though, its not looking too good.

  • New Neutral Minion - Queen Azshara

So I feel Queen Azshara will be good in certain decks, but only for a certain ancient relic. For eg: Shadow priest and Quest Hunter would always choose Xal'atath, while Big Spell mage will favor Ring of Tides

Ofc though it depends on your current board situation, like if you low on cards, you may want to choose Tidestone of Golganneth just for the draw.

This is ofc, the day 1 legendary I will craft... maybe golden

  • Blizzard Reveals the Queen Azshara Legendary Card for Hearthstone's Voyage to the Sunken City Expansion

Probably one of the strongest card revealed so far, but that's hardly surprising given that this is Queen Azshara, the literal poster girl for this expansion.

The way I see it it'll always be either ring of tides or tidestone, because the other two are kinda situational. Reminds me heavily of king togwaggle, in that there are 4 treasures but you almost always only choose one.

But all four has its uses, so I wouldn't be too surprised to see them come out from time to time, rather than seeing nothing but one choice all the time.

  • Trenchstalker is a New Warrior Card Revealed by Feelink for Voyage to the Sunken City

I used to believe the same for Deathwing, Mad Aspect. I remember getting upset opening it from a pack too. But it was one of warrior's important cards during its lifetime in standard.

Control warrior currently is playing Raid Boss Onyxia in their deck. So if a 10 mana card can work, why not this? Worth experimenting if nothing else.

  • [Now Live] Hearthstone Patch 22.6.1 Arrives on Wednesday, March 23 - Battlegrounds Armor Changes, Minion Removal, & Hotfixes

This is so hilarious, how did they not see Friend of a Friend behind beyond broken? I don't even think you have to playtest in order to recognise it's absolutely broken.

  • Newbie Need some help

Hey all I hope you're having a good day so far. As the title stats I am new to the game and just started Sunday and getting into it. I have played other card game system such as pokemon, yu-gi-oh when it first came out and after so many years my cards got stolen. 3k or more worth of cards, haven't played sense. I did magic a bit when I was in high school but didn't get too into it. And then heartstone, been in and out of it until hearing what been going on with Blizzard and though it was time to get away from it. So now trying Runeterra, so far it has kept me interested. I done all the bonus challenges and done some of the Path of Champions with Jinx. That said I got a good idea how the card works and went to see about making decks, that's where I am having some trouble.

I've seen online people post out their overpowered decks and really, I don't want to do the whole copy and paste type of thing. I want my own or if anything a deck outline and tweak it to fit my style. After trying to make deck I notice I can only do like two regions, yet I see online people have three which I like to know how that is posable. But with that in mind I that's where I need your help, want to make a few decks base from the other card games I played and hoping maybe those will work well with today's Runeterra's card sets. At the very least tell me what regions combos I should focus on to make it work. Also any tips or suggestions you may think of.

For the first deck it is base from my old yu-gi-oh, a field control you might say. The main theme of it was jinzo and horus, to stop most magic and trap cards which at the time was hard to beat. The idea of preventing your opponent in using most their good card because I had mine blocking it. Giving me time to build and hit hard. What regions would you suggest to make something like that? Or even what card you think I would be worth focusing on?

For the second deck in mind I think fits more of a Targon but I am not sure. This base idea was from a priest deck in heartstone. My main card, Sethekk Veilweaver. It's ability is to give you a random priest magic card for every time you cast a spell on a minion. This combo plus buffs with other monsters I thought did real well, even more so when I was able to clone them lol. I would most of the time have a full hand of card but not enough mana to use them all. This again might be a control deck but like the idea of always have some cards at hand that could change the outcome of a game if that make sense? So I am wondering what would you say I need go with to fight that type of deck?

Thats about all I have in my mind right now and I hope some of you out there could give me your input and ideas of what I should go from here.

  • Our Top 5 Picks for Card Nerf Reverts During This Year’s Hearthstone Set Rotation

Please never un nerf  Crabridder. Aggro is already king in Wild

  • Whirlpool is a New Priest Card Revealed by DawN for Voyage to the Sunken City

I don't think you will be able to cast it after Shudderwock has been played.

  • Barbed Nets is a New Hunter Card in Hearthstone's Voyage to the Sunken City Expansion

My bad, for some reason I thought the questline said "Deal damage with your spells 2 times", not "Deal damage with 2 spells". I thought Barbed Nets would count as two triggers then. I guess Explosive Trap would then trigger the quest for each enemy hit so it's good it isn't worded that way :D

  • New Neutral Minion - Slithering Deathscale

If it had Taunt, that would be something.  But 7 mana for a weenie killer???  We've seen this before and they were only used minimally and they had Taunt to help deal with things.

  • New Rogue Spell - Azsharan Vessel

    Quote From Brandon

Also their really pushing Pirate Rogue, and we still haven't seen the new Captain Hooktusk card. (She is in the expansion trailer, so we know she has to be a card.) So i bet this might have some place in that deck.

This is what I'm thinking too. We have some pirates in rogue, but nothing yet telling us how the deck will work, and there's a good bet Hooktusk will give us the answer. Fortunately she's the next reveal, judging by the thumbnail image being the anchor she wears on her belt (which means Blizzard chose an... interesting part of her to use. She seems flirty enough that I'm sure she won't mind :P)

  • New Neutral Minion - Queen Azshara

Auto-include in pretty much anything that runs spells as more than a supplement.  This is gross.  Shadow Priest with this and that damned weapon along with the support Priest is getting in this expansion so far will be great.  Hopefully, we will see more Shadow spells to support it

  • New Warrior Minion - Trenchstalker

This can hit the opponent's face... which means it is extremely good.  It could do a lot of damage to the board if there are minions you don't want to deal with.  The qualm here is that the current meta will have this thing take lethal before it could go face, let alone be left standing on the board after that.  I think it will see play, but not as much as it's predecessor Deathwing, Mad Aspect.

  • [Updated] New Limited Time Leeroy Jenkins Event Is Live - Hearthstone Mercenaries, Get Ready To Charge Ahead!

Some bosses are tougher than others, depending on what mercs you own. Balinda's a pushover if you have Anduin and Velen to heal you pretty much back to full each time she sets you to 1 (I assume other mass healing will do too), and Popsi-cooler will practically kill itself if you are patient with Alexstrazsa and use Dragonqueen's Gambit. I'd take them over Omok in BRM any day.

Whether they get tougher on average is not something I have the data to argue one way or the other. But certainly my anecdotal evidence points towards it being a shallow increase in difficulty at most.

Heck they even LIE to your face in promotional videos claiming they dont wanna create decks you cant interact with and yet they do exactly that every xpac….

Which video are you specificaly talking about? Also the only uninteractive deck that got enabled from the latest expansion is owl lock and I highly doubt that this was the intentional use case for Tamsin's Phylactery.

  • New Rogue Spell - Azsharan Vessel

I'm not seeing the value of this in the current meta.  In wild, there is potential, but not to outdo the current Wild decks that utilize tokens

  • New Priest Spell - Whirlpool

This alludes that there could be something on the horizon that will add more copies of minions to your deck.  The issue with this regardless is that a lot of shuffling of copies of things going into a deck are spells that summon a minion. So this will do nothing to swarm druid or the likes.

  • New Priest Minion - Priestess Valishj

This is ridiculous.  The fact that it's 0 to cast is cool.  But if you dump a bunch of spells in a turn, you get to reset what you're doing.  It is going to be a hands down auto include on most Priest builds.  Combine this with Handmaiden and you've got a recipe for a lot of Shadow fun stuff.

  • New Hunter Spell - Barbed Nets

Cheap and efficient damage for a class that already has a lot of cheap and efficient direct damage.  We haven't really seen a lot of Naga usages in Hunter/Neutral to see if this is going to be a mainstay in the meta

  • Barbed Nets is a New Hunter Card in Hearthstone's Voyage to the Sunken City Expansion

No, picking a second target is not the same as casting a separate spell. That would be worded as "cast this again."

  • [Updated] New Limited Time Leeroy Jenkins Event Is Live - Hearthstone Mercenaries, Get Ready To Charge Ahead!

    Quote From dapperdog

You might want to just finish the first two and get leeroy for free. Its a legendary merc, meaning its 500 coins for not doing it.

Mercifully the first two are fairly trivial.

they may be trivial for someone who has every merc at max but for normal people these events are just cries from activions to get sheeps to waste money on this mode....

  • [Updated] New Limited Time Leeroy Jenkins Event Is Live - Hearthstone Mercenaries, Get Ready To Charge Ahead!

Whether it is worth using packs to get legendaries depends a lot on your position. I put in a lot of work to craft legendaries early on (pre-Deadmines), and have been able to keep up with owning everything since. If, and I stress IF, that is your position, then you should get enough packs from tasks to open legendaries each time they are added. That is, presuming they return to only 1 per ~month; if they stick with 3 (I'm not counting Leeroy for this) then I'll have to re-evaluate it.

Otherwise, yes, it's probably wisest just to open until you get the epics.
