Definitely agree, I play since the start of 2016, and it also feels to me as the most "Rock-paper-scissors" as I can remember.
Just look at the matchup spread at HS Replay. Go to -> Meta -> Matchups. And then on the left check (find) few decks, for example - Control Warrior, Control Priest, Ramp Druid, Taunt Druid. See the % of Winrates. There's many deep red or deep green colors.
The amount of matchups with winrates either below 35-40% or above 60-65% is simply unbelievable. That clearly shows polarity of winrates in MANY decks.
This expansion didn't ever feel oppressive. The metas that followed are a different story. Looking back, I think the only "bad" thing that came out of DMF was Tickatus but remember there were a lot of Highlander decks during his reign which had many key cards. He was barely pulling any weight during Barrens and was completely forgotten by the time Stormwind came round as Quest Warlock haunted everyone's nightmares.
There's quite a few cards from this expansion that are invaluable to current archetypes. Excited to see what a lot of classes will look like once rotation happens.
Side note: Would be quite cool having articles showcasing the best cards each class is loosing in Year of the Phoenix
Just reached Level 140. I finally managed to complete some achievements: the Xyrella deathrattle ones, summoning X number of dread imps, and the Kurtrus, Demon-Render one. I'm frustrated that I've yet to complete the one for triggering honorable kills; it's a pretty difficult mechanic to pull off.
I expect to be at Level 150+ by the end of the week.
Honor kills you can easily farm with Keen Reflex and our old reliable, Mad Summoner. It'll still take quite some time, but at very least its substantially easier than before this card was introduced.

HUNTER NEWS: Dawaaagh from Russia, is the challenger for the Hunter Throne but unfortunately as you might already know, the Class Master tournament decided to postpone all throne claim matches due to Zoltan, the current class master of most of the classes, being from Ukraine a country at war. Zoltan have not given any signs of life since a week ago that the war has started and there for it is impossible for him to attend the defending of his thrones. We used to talk every day about the future of the tournament but now he is nowhere to be found. We truly hope he is alive and well and for this madness to end as soon as possible.
We hope all players no matter their country origin to find shelter under Hearthstone and our tournament where all players are equal through mutual respect."
Depends on whether you thiink a Control deck without Kazakusan could beat a Control Warrior deck with kazakusan. The answer is no. It cannot.
That's like saying "Depends on whether you think a Cubelock deck without N'Zoth could beat a Cubelock deck with N'Zoth."
Like obviously, it's a win condition for Control decks. It's only an issue when it's winning games against its supposed counters, which is only happening in Druid right now. If a Warrior is stabilized with 8 mana to spare against an aggro deck, then they were gonna win that game regardless.
The point is that if Kazakusan is this powerful by himself then he's just going to beat every other lategame strategy that doesn't involve a striaght-up OTK by virtue of existing. This then means that only certain classes can play control because of Kazakusan's activation condition.
Quick example. Big Beast Hunter was viable before the miniset. It is no longer viable because Kazakusan just fucks it on every conceivable level so the previously very favored control matchups are now unwinnable because getting Wand of Annihilation or just burn in general demolishes you entirely meaning that trying to grind your opponent out by spamming sticky beasts is not a winable strategy. If we take this instance and apply it more broadly, KAzakusan beats any late-game strategy that attempts to outlast through minion pressure because unless you're already winning hard before he has the chance to come down you're not gonna get through all the treasures alive.
Not to mention that Kazakusan is so flexible thaat he can basically create a win condition against just about any deck that isn't an OTK.
I can't wait to see this expansion rotate. So bored of it already, even more so than AoO. Didn't like the theme and boring decks like face hunter are basically a third Scholomance cards. Funny thing though is I can't really pin point one or a few cards I dislike, it's just the expansion as a whole I want gone from standard already.
Something quite interesting about the cards above that I'll point out. During AoO release, most of these cards were considered too weak, hell even Aldor Attendant and Libram of Justice got buffed and Incanter's Flow was hardly seen. Just goes to show how OP Year of the Dragon was, that those expansions had to rotate first before we could truly hate these cards.
I despised Libram pally after a while, purely coz it was such a boring, linear deck. Pity Paladin didn't get much else in Year of the Gryphon (aside from secret Pally). After rotation, Paladin will be in a rough spot, so here's hoping the next expansion has some cards that can create a new archetype for the class.
675 cards is more than I'd really like to click through (assuming none of the answers are non-collectable cards). Many times you can just search for words in the clue, then if you don't know the answer, you can just click cards until you get it. I guess that doesn't save any time if you end up brute forcing it to get the ones you can't solve that way. Or you can ask for hints for the remaining clues and move on with your life until you get a reply.

I noticed there was an expansion called The Winter War, so I figured some of those cards would probably be the right answer, and I was right. But that was after I clicked everything that looked Winter themed, and every Norden card, and was partway through Aztlan.
Honestly, the whole Guardian Animals package (Teacher's Pet and Twilight Runner). It wasn't so insane and it has been a while since I have come across anyone running it. I just got really tired of looking at the art. TBF, I was kinda neckbearding the game when Scholomance came out so that might have something to do with it.

I meant 'burgle rogue' as a class identity feature as well as the archetype itself. Nothing says a burgle card cannot be independently strong and used outside of a dedicated burgle deck, and it won't be creating new class identity issues for doing that.
Yes and no. Wand Thief is a Burgle Rogue card, but not only: it's a generally good card, which means that it saw play even outside those decks. On top of it, it's a very good card, meaning that it is not bound to Burgle Rogue's success by any means.
I can't even count the number of times that Wand Thief gave my opponent lethal or prevented me from winning the game with cards they had no right to play. Breaking class identity to its fullest, we can say.
With burgle rogue existing, and having received tools all the way back to GvG, I would say rogue has every right to play any card. That IS part of their class identity and Wand Thief was a super elegant merger of how rogue and mage's value generation works.
However, those two forms of value generation are very different. Burgle rogue is like rolling a D100 and embracing how often the value changes, while casino mage is like rolling a D6 and injecting some randomness, but in a fairly repeatable way. That sort of consistency is not really part of burgle rogue, and hence why Wand Thief straddles the line of rogue's class identity. (Note it is not so much the size of the pool of mage spells - I'm pretty sure Keywarden Ivory's discover pool is smaller - as the amount of redundancy in it, making specific effects easy to find even if specific cards are not.)
FWIW: as a burgle main I love Wand Thief, but agree her time in Standard should come to an end.

Non-existent midrange decks. Decks, that are somewhere in between total Aggro and total Control.
To me it seems like only Aggro, Control and Combo exists at the moment and they counter each other as shown in Winrates.
