Can't say I'm a big fan of these "break the rules" cards though. The biggest offenders for me have been taking mechanics that ordinarily punish you or have a certain expectation of just how much they can do, and instead, rewarding you/doing the opposite/going far beyond what is reasonable. Ex:
Divine Favor - ordinarily you are punished for dumping your hand (card adv vs board adv) and your opponent rewarded for using resources efficiently. This card does the opposite, and punished your opponent for playing efficiently, while simultaneously rewarding you for sacrificing card adv.
Demon Seed - there exists fatigue in HS for a reason. With this card, that reason is no longer something you need to worry about, and your opponent can only 'play around it' by killing you faster, which may not be a game plan their deck even has access to.
Jade Idol/Ignite - You're limited to a certain deck size so games aren't able to go on forever and there is a definite and predictable ending point. Fatigue factors in to this as well, but y'know what, who cares about that when you have infinite cards in your deck that deal an infinitely scaling amount of damage?
Mana cheat (NOT ramp, but mana discounting) - I think playing a certain amount of value for each mana point is a reasonable expectation. Even pushing that boundary is okay, because some cards need to be stronger. You got a 4/5 for 2 mana? Okay fine. You cast 25 mana worth of spells for 0 mana? Not fine.

At one point I had subscriptions to Netflix, Prime Video (well, that's sorta cheating), Disney+, Crave (Canada service that gets a bunch of HBO content), and Apple TV. Mind you, everything other than Prime Video showed no advertisements so even though it was a steep cost, it was still a thousand times better than cable could ever hope to achieve.
I also have been a YouTube Premium member since it first came available because it's so much nicer to be able to support creators through that and never have to see an ad - though the people with 2 ads baked into their videos now for the Skillshares and whatever have you is a bit much.

Lately I've been playing a lot of Mercenaries, trying to max out my Mercs. I can't say I've been enjoying it as much, I just feel like grinding my Mercs to level 30. I didn't buy the mini-set again this time, though I did craft Kazakusan. While he's a blast to play (especially in a Control Warrior list), some games feel polarizing in that it comes down to who draws Kazakusan first. The card has also ushered in a bunch of hyper-aggro decks, which is something I never welcome.
Shadow/Holy probably the best ones for this, Natalie/Voljin/Tamsin & Anduin/Velen/Xyrella.
Go with ring for anduin, speed ring with voljin, and equip your shadow party to do maximum damage. As far as passives go, its always helmet or failing that take damage boosters. Dont bother with Xyrella's subjugation, you'll be lucky if she attacks at all. In most cases Xyrella is only here to die or heal, because the blades inevitably always act first.
Start with shadow team and concentrate fire on the middle blade. Position your helmeted mercs on the sides. Basically if you dont kill off the middle blade by turn 3 you're probably dead. If you manage to kill the middle blade, then your holy team should be more than enough to kill off the other two without dying.
Honestly, this is one of the worst one Ive encountered so far. Its so luck dependent I can't wrap my head around what's best to do other than pray hard getting saronite helmet off the passives. In fact, if you dont get helmet on at least 2 mercs you're better off resetting.
Technically don't prevent completion, as there are players who have already completed the whole thing. Ironically with some of these bugs making it way more challenging. But it can be a frustrating experience for somebody far less determined to do repeats and find out what the hell causes problems.

I miss when it was just Netflix, lol.
At one point I had subscriptions to Netflix, Prime Video (well, that's sorta cheating), Disney+, Crave (Canada service that gets a bunch of HBO content), and Apple TV. Mind you, everything other than Prime Video showed no advertisements so even though it was a steep cost, it was still a thousand times better than cable could ever hope to achieve.
