I love the deck, and I really like the little tech pieces you've added to help the bad match ups. My question: Why play this in Wild instead of Standard? %90 of the architype is in Standard, with less powerful decks and better match ups.
@doingtheobvious I get this comps can get very frustrating and of course you're free to go if you feel the negatives outweigh the positives.
However, I wanted to let you know I don't think your designs are bad. I mean, your entry this week was quite neat, and the only thing holding it back was the minor detail of its watermark. This is something you have to pay attention to, but it's not a flaw intrinsic to your design, it's something accessory.
As I said, you're the one who has to decide if you want to leave, but I believe your perception of what people think about your cards isn't very accurate.
It's been a busy week, so I'm pretty late to the party heh
I just wanted to add that the current system was designed when the number of participants was much higher, hence the 8 finalists thing. I liked the solution of having around 25% of participants reach the finals, but I would cap it to min 3 and max 8.
I created a Mi'da deck and wtf the copies dont count so you have to revive 7 times the same, ended having midas in game and not killing enemys like bm becouse i need them to survive forever and kill my midas.
Hey, in case someone didn´t hear about that, you can actually do the Mi´da achievement in Practice mode. I´ve done both two stages in one game against heroic AI. Absolutely worth trying before they find out and fix it.
Think hats *and* giving, and not necessarily cards
I´m lost with this one aswell.
Show Spoiler
First thing that came to my mind was Explorer's Hat, since it´s a hat and gives something else than cards, but no luck. I´ve even tried Gentleman's Top Hat, but still nothing. Am I completely wrong? Any other hint please?
I completed the Chi-Ji limited time event and only have 7 of the latest introduced mercenaries left to be fully maxed out.
I bought the Onyxia's Lair mini-set with gold and played a bunch of Kazakusan Druid in ranked Standard, but I cannot say I enjoyed this latest meta at all. At diamond level, I only encounter mirror matches or opponents with tech cards like Irondeep Trogg and Cult Neophyte.
As for the new XP achievements, since they are mostly really grindy this time around, I have yet to start grinding those out. The Demon Hunter and Rogue ones are not even in the game yet (sigh). I do wonder what the new '???' is all about though. What kind of riddled madness did Celestalon come up with this time?
I do feel quite a bit disadvantaged with the 2 choices vs paying players getting 4. I wish Hearthstone would just drop that and focus on the cosmetics for paying players.
The fragmentation of streaming services is a problem, in my opinion. With music, you can pick one service and get access to reasonable chunk of popular music. With video, I haven't bothered signing up for any of them since I don't want to spend the time researching which service has which series that I might enjoy. Even worse, this changes over time as new series are released and old series disappear when licensing agreements expire.
Ideally, a user would be able to pick the game, the store and the launcher independently. Having different games available in different stores and/or launchers restricts rather than expands the options for users. For example, on Android you can install Hearthstone from Google Play or from Amazon's store, so you can decide who you'd rather give your money and data to (even if it is picking a lesser evil), but on PC your only options are to use Battle.net or play a different game and that inflexibility means there is hardly any competitive pressure to improve the store or the launcher.
If I could buy a game in one store and automatically get it in my library on all platforms, that would be great. But instead of trying to figure out how something useful like that can be implemented using blockchain tech, everyone is trying to get rich selling pointless cosmetics.
While I have no numbers to back this up, I can imagine that on average people who play only on mobile would be more casual than people who (also) play on desktop. So the kind of audience who is interested in e-sports and community content would be more likely to use Battle.net.
Besides, they have the news feed viewer already, they only need to push more content to it. They did start doing a bit of this by highlighting community content every once in a while, but they could have done it much more regularly. In fact, a significant portion of what they did highlight was items they sponsored.
Actually, now that I look more closely at Battle.net again, there is more content there than I thought, but I have to scroll past old featured items to get to the news. For example, the announcement of Grandmasters this weekend is invisible unless I scroll down: full height window at 1080p and it's off screen. That's just bad design.
I don't think red tape can be to blame for all of it. Things like incomplete patch notes points to there not being enough structure in their way of working rather than too much of it.
The feeling I get from Hearthstone is that once the prototype became a success, they've never had a quiet moment to rethink their code, tools and processes. The way their broadcast client is a Frankenstein video composition for example, where half the time discover options are showing card backs instead of the face sides. Faeria had an in-house e-sports client used for broadcasts and that was made by an actual small indie company.
I admit my sins, I played 2 Pogo-Hopper games (EU and NA) but only just to get a pack ASAP. Don't know why they still didn't bother to ban it.
There are many fun options, I played Dragon's Hoard... but my opponent decided to go with Shiv :D
Didn't last very long, my minions overwhelmed him.
Shiv does not seem bad, until you realize that you get 22 copies of chosen card... Don't try this at home, unless you want to try to pinch someone to death :D
If you're gonna repeat this brawl 88 times a year, at least make it so that people can experiment. It's soooooo fuckin' boring just playing the Pogo brawl.
That's the thing. I find standard stifling now and pretty much only play wild. Lot's of times I just play casual because I just want to have fun. A lot of your decks have a great fun factor. My 11 year old son has also been playing the Jade Shaman a lot. Very fun!
BUG! Play Hero Powers from HAND?!
1. Which specific minions are required?
2. Which cards do they shuffle in?
Miraculous Kazakusan

didnt one of our awesome Mods put together a list just for Kaladin with solely possibilities about how he can find help?
I forgot who it was, maybe even our renowned Flux himself ... but I was applauding the idea.

The slow but steady eroding of the red lines in HS
In my opinion, maybe they just run out of ideas. In each new addon, some new card obscures the old card. For example, Icehowl and Fizzy Elemental.
Also look at those cards:
Alliance Bannerman and Vanguard Bannerman
Swolefin and Swole Squirrel
It looks like almost a literal copying from another game.
