I remember Gadgetzan when Hunter was so bad compared to eveything else that the entiree class became virtually unplayable.

Conjurer Mage also used the neutral RR dragons and Scaleworm.

Right before the second The Caverns Below nerf, and only because Quest Rogue weakend the other lategame strategies, so Odd Warrior was okay with it's great aggro matchups.

Rise of Shadows, Khadgar-Dragon Mage. Was it really a thing? I don't remember such deck at all. I mean, I remember Khadgar + Conjurer's Calling or Power of Creation, but what about dragons? I guess Kalecgos alone isn't enough to call it Dragon deck.

Also I could swear that Control warrior was much more prevalent during Boomsday with Baku and Doctor Doom.

Started playing this game yesterday and greatly appreciated the tutorial coz my memory of the yugioh rules were pretty rusty 😅 Vaguely remember playing the RL TCG in school and watching the anime. So far I'm pleasantly enjoying the experience and wow, when I went to the collection manager, I had no idea there were like over 9000 cards 😜 Guess this game is 23 years old after all 

Hunter was the most played class during Rastakhan's Rumble, probably due to Master's Call and the new spell only archetype that was introduced. 

So far, it pleasantly surprised me.

I thought it was just going to be a quick crash grab knowing Konami, but the economy is actually quite friendly. I was able to make an acceptable Sky Striker deck (Without 3 of the UR Staples like Ash Blossom and Maxx C) like 2 hours after opening the game and still have a lot of currency to work with. It's probably front loaded though and it's going to feel like a pain later.

But who knows, Konami can pull the plug anytime they want but I'm gonna stick with this for a while until the next Hearthstone miniset comes out.

From the start of Alterac, there were reports of players receiving cards that you would normally receive via the honor track, or rewards track.

Team5 then decided to reimburse these players by granting them the dust value for these cards. Unfortunately they fked up the implementation resulting in what is now termed as dustgate.

Basically if you were one of them who received the free dust, make note of your dust collection, because you can easily receive twice as many, or lose some dust. They are currently fixing all this, so best thing in my opinion is to screenshot your dust and dont spend any of the free dust.

im liking the game very much, but beware its not as f2p as it may initially seem.

Hunter has a very strong classic set, and is generally considered to be the go-to class for those without much resources. So unsurprisingly its played quite a good deal because just about every tier except for legend would do decently with it.

Even if hunter is viable in every meta, is there necessarily anything wrong with it? Out of the last two years, only one face hunter deck can truly be counted as cancerous, and even then it's solidly beaten by the omnipresence of Zilliax anyway

Saviors of Uldum was my favorite spoiler video (that song was REALLY good).

And the fact that it was probably the most even representation of all classes ... I think that was probably the peak of best balance for HS.

It was a different time. When Ben was in charge, nerfs were very rarely made, and Hunter had a really really good classic set so it could manage through a bad expac. You can see once it lost it, it dropped immediately. I do not think it is indicative of anything negative about the current Team 5.

Edit: Also worth noting, the strongest deck isn't always the most popular one. This playerbase tends to favor simpler more straight forward decks.

At least I finally have stats to prove my theory:  Hunter generally never carves a huge slice out of the meta barring a few exceptions, and generally never dies barring a few exceptions.  It always seems to stay solidly a tier 2 deck no matter the meta, which I'm conflicted about because at this point it's apparent that Team5 has no problem allowing other classes to be top dogs or underdogs.

I just wanted to say it's a shame Chromie's Timepiece didn't make the cut. I really loved the card :C

I cannot believe Un'goro had the most class variety. I was still pretty noobish at the time, but I mostly remember Pirate Warrior, Quest Rogue, and lots and lots of Vicious Fledglings.

For real, just drafting by itself is really fun, I would love to be able to even play a draft deck vs a friend, like how Shadowverse has a similar mode where you can play against a friend and both draft the deck. 

Agreed! Vanndar decks are always a good time haha. Resizing Pouch could work! It's always a decent inclusion with any deck that runs Wildheart Guff so you can discover stuff after 10 mana. you could try replacing it for either the Wild Growths or Nourishes

Now I play this game off and on, mostly just to log in and have some fun with a few fun decks I have and play some mercs but when I heard about the dust refund thing I logged in right away.

When I fired up the menu, I had 2 pop-ups saying I gained 1600 dust. But when actually looked I didn't get anything at all. 

Now since I haven't been following the game somewhat I knew people were upset about the dust refund but i didnt know why. Is this why?
