  • My Hearthstone Expansion :D

Hey there, always cool to see a new face :) If you don't mind, I'm gonna nit-pick two things:

    • First, the name should probably be changed. Unless you're outright replacing "Forged in the Barrens", the names are way too similar. Using Overlord Saurfang suggests to me that might be the case, but you didn't say as much on your "For the Newcomers" info-card *shrugs*
    • The other thing is the punctuation on the cards. You have commas where an "and" or a period might suffice, sometimes, and you have no periods at all. It will be a pain to recreate everything just to add periods to the end of each card's text, but it does make them look more "professional."

I have a few other niggles beyond that, but all-in-all cool stuff. Keep at it :) If you'd like, hosting the images someplace like Imgur would allow you to post them here, so people can see them without having to go somewhere else :P

Very upset by the number of new mercs…. I was hoping for 20/30 and for the extra coin … what the hell: nothing. We will keep opening packs we zéro useful coins,????? But the new mercs looks very promising. That’s i

I agree with Casual Arena. They can of course make it easier for casual players with introducing some kind of Matchmaking. So that when you are either new to Arena OR not very good at it (winrate-wise?), then it matches you with similar players.

Another benefit of Casual Arena would be - that you could Draft many times for free (!). So you could learn Drafting well if you want. Also - when they do a balance tweaks in Arena (micro-adjusts?) - free drafting also helps learning that.

And then also learn to play Arena (gameplay-wise) in Casual.

I don't know how other Arena players feel but I personally like Drafting. I would sometimes do some Draft for fun, without playing a deck at all :) but only if Drafting was free and not behind 150 gold...

Thinking about it, they could just add a new button "Try Draft" where new players can learn it, others can Draft for fun :)

I haven't been tracking my win rate, but I can confirm a very high rate of Concede-when-there-are-3+Void-Hounds.

    Sensible, really.

  • Konami's Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel Surpasses 250,000 Concurrent Players on Steam

Honestly, the best thing in this game, if you ask me, is the economy.

There is only 1 currency shared between both transaction purchases and in game rewards, so you aren't left in a state of "Oh I only need X in game currency to buy Y thing I want right now, damn, better buy Z amount of [INSERT PREMIUM CURRENCY] here buy it, which is gonna cost me $24.99", you just buy the small amount you might need.

For the introduction of the game, at the very least when I started playing it, they have 3 1-time-purchase bundles that give you 10 packs + a heavily played stable cards, for less gems (Ingame currency) than the regular price of buying 10 packs - and on top of that there are some pretty good deals for if you DO want to buy some currency to kickstart your collection, that you can buy 3 times giving you a decent amount of gems at a heavy, HEAVY discount.

There's also the system where you can unlock the various "secret" packs that have a much smaller cardpool to pull from, so if you want cards from a particular archetype you want to try, you can just buy those packs and get a pretty decent chance of pulling some of the cards you want/need.

Unlock MTG Arena there is also a bloody dust/craft system, with each rarity having its own crafting currency. Dust 3 of a given rarity and you can craft 1 of that rarity that you want.

This is my first time playing Yu-Gi-Oh since I was a little kid and there was a craze about it in the public school days where no one ACTUALLY knew how to play the game right. Watched a bit of content from various dedicated creators, learned a bit about the mechanics/stables/meta. Found a deck I liked, crafted the core of it day 1 without spending a dime. Good fun

  • Wild evolution after the nerf

I think the meta will evolve in a more healthy way overall. More decks should be playable again after Ignite Mage is killed and Quest Hunter is nerfed heavily. Quest PW will still be very strong, but there are enough cards to counter this deck (Nerubian + Crab).

I guess Even Warlock will be T1 again and maybe will be the best deck again.

I disagree. The solo stuff has been pretty fun so far, and it's interesting learning about the different deck archetypes.

  • Konami's Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel Surpasses 250,000 Concurrent Players on Steam

I like it. Going to stick with it for a long time. I ended up downloading it like two days ago, and had a viable deck to play withing the first hour or two of me playing the game. I imagine the rewards are very front loaded, but so far it feels much more generous then HS. Though, the more digital TCGs I play, the more I appreciate HS's UI. Master Duel's UI feels very poor compared to HS (shop screen, deck builder, selecting cards, etc).

If only this new iteration had a good PVE campaign.. :/ unfortunately, it has just some semi-random bot fights without a particular story..

Tuesday should bring some shakeups, and certainly some other fun things to try in Duels, Battlegrounds, and Mercenaries.

Maybe hunt some achievement XP until then?

  • Standard evolution after the nerf

Thief rogue will drop to tier 2-3, beast druid will drop to tier 2, quest warrior drop to tier 2, ramp druid might drop to tier 3, handlock

Poison rogue and mozaki mage are the hardest to judge. Because the winrate is different from high legend to diamond. So I'd say that if mozaki mage drops to tier 3, poison rogue will follow suit. Otherwise, theres a chance it's in tier 2

Main winners would be libram pally, freeze shaman, ping mage, deathrattle dhunter. Basically any decks that struggle against mozaki mage will come back up to tier 1-2.

My prediction of the decks the community will end up hating until the midset: Face hunter, libram pally, freeze shaman, quest warrior

  • Is there any way to lower my MMR effectively?

Unless you're planning to be in bronze I don't know if that would even help.

Fact of the matter is, that in nearly every tier above silver everyone would be playing to win i.e. playing good decks. The only remedy is to improve our own play, and use decks that can actually win games. I like to meme myself, but even I know if ranking is the game, I'd play a tier 1-2 deck.

  • Weekend of Wild Hearthstone Decks - Spiteful Warrior, V-07-TR-0N OTK Mage, Even Warlock, & More!

And you know it's not the Internet if someone doesn't point out every little mistake you might make, as if the person pointing it out never makes mistakes (which in this case is true, I don't)

  • Wild evolution after the nerf

The problem there is actually twofold. You have to re-engineer the deck entirely; Witchwood Piper no longer guarantees you pull Apprentice. You have to gamble with tradeable ad nauseum to get to her.

While gambling for her via Tradeable lotto has become the remaining option from what I tried to assemble, I've found Elemental Allies and a few Elementals in the deck to basically draw at least a 1/3 of all spells in your deck without running anything from non-Fire schools outside of Ice Block. And the additional thing is that Ignite's still going to be faster than Mozaki imo thanks to Evocation and Hot Streak, which lets you play the combo on turn 8 at least with reductions, as Mozaki + Apprentice is still 9 Mana without any prior reductions, unless I'm missing something.

Anyway, this is what I've come up with. I can still see other forms of card draw being present - perhaps resurrecting Aluneth could do the trick too.

  • Wild evolution after the nerf

One thing to note is that the Warrior Quesline also got nerfed, specifically in the damage part, which can slow down the deck just a tiny bit.

Also edit that I don't think Mage is gonna die outright, because surprise surprise! Conjure Mana Biscuit exists. With one Biscuit saved for playing Molten Reflection on Sorcerer's Apprentice alongside Sanctum Chandler, while now a 10-mana combo (8 mana with Elemental Evocation), still makes Ignite Mage have some relevancy. Perhaps they may run Hemet, Jungle Hunter or opt for any source of mass card draw to get to guaranteed Ignite procs, or maybe even continue with the current list, but tech in Magister Dawngrasp for an additional Ice Block.

  • Is there any way to lower my MMR effectively?

The best recipe to destroy your MMR:

    1. Start off with a drizzle of concedes
    2. Proceed with a sprinkle of concedes
    3. Finish it off with a dash of concedes

Voilà, less Tier 1 decks served 😂

  • Full Patch Notes for Hearthstone's 22.2.0 Update Coming on January 25

Sadly this patch will change nothing about Rogues opness in Standard at the moment.

0 Mana 3/5 rush at turn 3 is still broken as f***.

    Not to be nit-pick but... it's V-07-TR-0N.  Not V-07-LT-0N  (I totally meant to nit-pick!)

I actually crafted Mimiron's Head a while ago for a very similar deck.
