I'm hoping Defias Cannoneer, which is also from the mini set, gets hit with the nerf bat.
I don't think Mr. Smite is likely to get nerfed this week, but he might still get nerfed later. And if he doesn't, he'll likely be playable in multiple future decks.
First idea. It basically turns your HP into deal 2 damage and draw a card for three uses. I don't know if it's flashy enough for a legendary, though.
@linkblade You mean instead of paying Mana, you pay 1 Durability? If so, I think it's quite OP. I'd probably limit it to just the first minion you play each turn.
Time to warp in minions like we're the Protoss :D I gave it to the Mage because it makes sense both in flavor and the practicality standpoint of "she's the least likely to abuse it". The numbers can always be tweaked; just need to know if this is interesting/cool/reasonable enough to work with.
Edit: This second version sounds cooler, in my opinion, although balancing it would be tricky.
I think the minisets are a good deal for 2000 gold, but I've been waiting and just crafting a few rares/epics/legendary. Usually the end of season ranked rewards fill out enough commons/rares, and it takes a couple weeks for the "good" cards to become apparent. Then you can save the extra gold and only create what you need.
How is caster Priest not the ONLY deck featured here? It's so OP that neither party gets to play or participate and the opponent just has to sit and watch them deal face until you die... isn't that like SOOOO fun!?
How is caster priest not ALL of these decks... it's the only one obliterating the ladder and literally requires ZERO effort or participation by either party....?
Some short advise on how to play the Nature bros? And/or how to beat Vaelastrasz? Nevermind, got it.
There's nothing to it really. Just malfurion/guff/brukan, with treasures for lightning bolt and living brambles. The only true significant treasure here would be malfurion's liferoot staff, which heals for every nature ability, effectively meaning that you'll be healing for 18 every turn.
Buff up your nature spell damage with brukan and go ham with guff, dealing monstrous damage per turn. Malfurion is pretty much going to spam surge every turn.
Its the flex spots that makes nature bros work in pve. Brightwing is fairly good here, because her attack are nature oriented, meaning it also combos with guff. Another good thing is that everything in pve would aim to snipe her down, so you can bait out attacks then phase back to bench, practically wasting your opponent's turn. Useful against enemy heroes.
Fifth and sixth spot depends on bosses. Nature bros arent always favored against all bosses, so flex accordingly.
On a side note, either Mr. Smite or Edwin, Defias Kingpin have a (very low, but still to be considered) chance to be touched in the upcoming balance patch.
As someone who's been doing a lot of bounty hunting, I think the greatest path to success is finding the best treasures. As several have noted above me, treasure like Hex and Assassinate can be OP against the right bosses. I've also found that Xyrella's treasure that makes Blinding Luminescence hit neighbors is insanely good in almost every match.
Next best tip is find strong synergy: a squad with all Nature or Holy abilities, for example, can dish out massive damage, even without critical hits. I've cleared many bosses with Morgl, Bru'kan and Guff. Again, treasures make a big difference. Getting Nature damage bonus treasures, or "Lightning Bolt hits a neighbor" for example, can stack up your damage really fast.
Most bosses have a weakness, so figure out the best way to exploit that.
Never underestimate Freeze effects. Some bosses have ridiculously OP abilities, and if you can freeze them before they act, no problem. Just be aware that if they don't act, they didn't use the ability, so if it has a cooldown, they'll still be able to do it next turn.
Congrats! That 1.000 wins Warlock portrait is siiiiick!
Can't deny a little grin when I saw those numbers though. Do you keep playing until you have a round number of wins every time? That would certainly mess with my sleep schedule :D
We might be in a situation where they could revert the nerf to Relentless Pursuit and let it be fast again. That could be one way to make Demacia champs more relevant (especially Lucian, since it's literally his champ spell). Poor Lucian sitting in the bottom half of all champs, with just under a 48% winrate overall. He's seen better days.
As minuano said, you can't buff the spell because then it still gets used as support for other regions. (i.e. Splashing Demacia into another regions deck instead of vice versa). The power needs to go into the champions themselves, not the support cards for those champions otherwise it just helps promote other strategies
I don't think LoR is a dead game at all, and some things it does, it does *better* than Hearthstone. It is a far more interactive play experience, and you tend to come across "less" wombo combos than in hearthstone. And it's far more interactive in the board presence and tempo. That being said.... I haven't played LoR in months...
And the only time I did was when the released the new lab adventure mode, which at first seemed neat with "choices make your ending different" until I realized it was literally only the first map where you had "story choices".
I think RIOT as a company is on the rise, capitilizing on the scandal/culture issues at Blizzard at the moment, pushing their IP's through multiple media platforms (Ruined King - RPG game, Arcane - TV Series, LoL - Original IP, LoR - Card game IP, TFT & Wild Rift - Mobile).
They are clearly building the same universe but attempting to hook different styles/types of players. It's definitely a smart diversification method.
That being said, the one thing Blizz still has going for them is *multiple* universes. Diablo, SC, WC/WoW, Overwatch... And admittedly while some of these franchises are suffering, in the coffin, or just plain old: it does give them diversification if a certain thematic doesn't appeal to an audience. If you don't like fantasy warcraft/wow then you still have a hack and slash demon killing game, a futuristic team fighting game, a sci-fi RTS game.
Anyhow I've digressed a bit....
I don't think the game is dead, but I do know that my interest has waned quite a bit. I do agree somewhat with Nifty (trust me, hard words to say because as others point out his behavior has been extremely caustic and berative in the past)...and the reason is what he mentioned: A lot of champions are no longer viable. And I agree with the sentiment that a lot of decks/champions are released with very narrowly focused synergies that pretty much build the deck for you.
The problem with giving Demacia better rally is that other region are going use the mechanic way better than Demacia. Recently Relentless Pursuit got bumped into 4 mana because of rally elusive. Golden Aegis tend to be a fair card in Demacia because you still need to have a big board to win the game, but with other region the card tend to borderline busted because they just need one big elusive or overwhelm unit to do the same. Like what used to happen with pre-nerf Ruin Runner or Pantheon and Wounded Whiteflame for more recent examples.
If you have that treasure that deals 6 fire damage to everything when something dies from a fire attack (usually gained from diablo) then the game is over. Just sack first team, fire stomp and win. In fact you might have to restart your game because the animation loops kinda too long.
This is exactly how I defeated Blackhand. I sacrificed Gruul (usable in Blackrock with Fire restistance and Dragon hate), stomped, and restarted the app when Blackhand was at -300 health something and the damage just kept going.

We need more Arcane Mercenaries. We have only Blink Fox, Milhouse, and Tyrande. That's it.

The mini-sets are some of the best value, you get so many cards just for 2k gold. I think Mr. Smite is worth 2,000 gold by himself.

Competition Theme: Legendary Loot
Man, the loot tables for these encounters are crazy, I can't keep up. Could you guys help me out and show me the Legendary drops?
BasilAnguis has been dungeon crawling this week, and wants us all to see the loot they got. Why don't you share your loot too?
As always, I can be reached through Discord or here on the site via PM if you have any issues to report.
