  • Awesome Fractured in Alterac Valley Launch Decks from Hearthstone's Top Players and Streamers

Halp, I am still getting steamrolled by warrior pirates! *sob*

  • In the End, We Were Not United in Stormwind - Will Questlines Remain at the Forefront?

From someone who played every day since Mean Streets of Gadgetzan, in this last expansion I literally stopped playing after reaching lvl 100 on the reward track (and to complete it, I just did the missions, avoiding standard as much as possible).

For me, standard has never been in such a miserable state. I much prefer the toxic Pirate Warrior / Aggro Shaman meta from MoG or the Druidstone in the early weeks of KoFT than this quest/OTK/solitarie nonsense. Even the universally awful Rastakhan's Rumble was better (and I never thought I would ever say that).

  • Our Top 40 Community Theorycraft Wild Hearthstone Decks for Fractured in Alterac Valley

Calling it "wonky" is being generous!  :)

  • Linking multi-aspect cards

Hi, popping in despite not being a part of the community for years to quickly voice a suggestion which I'm sure has been made many times prior:

On pages for cards with additional non-visible information (e.g. Hero cards), it would be very desirable to have that additional information on the page. For the example given, a Hero card should show the new hero power alongside it, given that without that context it's impossible to actually 'look at' the card (if that makes sense).

I want to use Out of Cards as my resource for things like expansion information and reference, but when it's missing this context it's basically impossible to do so and I'm forced to use one of your competitors. In this case, being forced to use hstopdecks despite despising the site, simply because that information is all present.

I'm sure this would require manual coding rather than the automation which is presumably used to pull card information - but it would be worth it, in my view, to make the expansion guide function as intended.

  • Stealth nerf for Mercenaries PVE

    Ok, maybe there is hope:

(Added 12/7) There is currently a bug reducing the intended experience
gain in the Mercenaries mode. The team is investigating the issue.

  • Survive the Fractured in Alterac Valley Launch! Day 1 Decks to Try, Freebies, and Everything You Need to Know About the Expansion

I did exactly this. I put all three of my weekly quests one tick away from completing. Then I saved my daily from Monday and today to complete after the expansion launched. Yes, I was one of those guys playing a 'no new cards' deck for a few games, but I got all the way to 20 on the rewards track to lock my free legendary and managed several extra packs. Now I'm raring to go with some fancy new cards.

  • FiAV Pack Opening Day

From my 5 golden packs, I got Magister Dawngrasp :D

From my 81 normal packs, Kurtrus, Demon-Render, Saidan the Scarlet, Cera'thine Fleetrunner, and Rokara, the Valorous. Interesting mix of stuff. Will probably buy more packs tomorrow with gold, but I have to get up early so I can't even play tonight :(

I am enjoying the Druid deck.  Lots of stealth!

I've got a new idea, although I need a little bit of help with it.

EDIT: Well I got that situated.

  • In the End, We Were Not United in Stormwind - Will Questlines Remain at the Forefront?

Always remember: less than 1/10th of one percent of any large group of users, whether it be video games, radio, TV or any type of media voice their disdain.

I got that statistical data off of the internet so it must me true...

Keep on keeping, on Flux and those that believe in this fun card game.

Edit, as usual:  Aesan, can not tell you how much I love your view and the way you present it.  It's what I wish we had from all reporters.

  • I hope you enjoy your big stuff control & wombo combo meta.

I am playing demon seed warlock so yeah I am enjoying to face control decks.

  • Stealth nerf for Mercenaries PVE

Its weird that they'd did this. Perhaps its a bug, there's been so many we wouldn't know.

I will say its quite easy to farm xp in mercs to be honest. Just leave it on and the xp will flow without any effort. No bots, no mods. Maybe that's largely why they did it.

  • Stealth nerf for Mercenaries PVE

Blizzard have halved the XP gained from PVE for the Rewards Track. Before the new expansion we can gain 168 xp in 30 minutes (without the Pass), now it's 84 xp.
This stealth nerf is so bad that people need to know...

  • FiAV Pack Opening Day

I did buy the rewards track.

    29 packs:

Caria Felsoul - In the words of Moorabi from Gundrak "Get ready for something much... BIGGER!!!"

Dreadlich Tamsin - Not the hero I wanted but the one I got. Still awesome card.

Wing Commander Ichman - Expensive but I'm going to make it work!

Saidan the Scarlet - Amazing card

Vanndar Stormpike - Cool card even if I am getting him anyway. Still cool.

    Free:

    Korrak the Bloodrager (diamon)

    Lokholar the Ice Lord

    Drek'Thar For the Horde!

Feels good so far. Not sure what to build but playing around with the new stuff is refreshing.

  • Lots of bugs

Bugs for achievements not progressing like the "You Are not Worthy" Achievement. Played Lightforged Cariel and even let my opponent slowly and painfully kill me and have zero progress :/

  • Lots of bugs

The collection bug has happened every expac after achievements were added. It will get fixed soon. I just completed my quests and did not have any issues. Are you sure your hand was not full? you will not get a reward from the questlines if so.

  • In the End, We Were Not United in Stormwind - Will Questlines Remain at the Forefront?

I logged in this evening for the first time in about two weeks. This after having played near enough every day since I started around Whispers of the Old Gods. I opened packs barely registering what I got.

I preordered the new set out of habit but have no idea what's in it and tbh I'm not sure I care any more. Questlines destroyed standard along with a lack of anything that inspired me to build decks. The cards this year were just dull. On top of that Battlegrounds feels tired, Duels died ages aho and dear God but Mercs sucks.

It's a very strange, surreal feeling. HS has been my main game for years... and now it barely registers.

  • Group Therapy! Need to blow off some steam? Mega salty? Here's the place!

Played a few games after opening my packs. Tried out Freeze Shaman, Big DH and Beast Druid... my opponents were old Quest Mage (no new cards), Aggro Druid (no new cards) and Control Priest (no new cards).  Fun!

  • Lots of bugs

Bugs are back for all legendaries chain reward completion and I’m getting the same bug with neutral cards. I have every card in the set and multiple duplicate legendaries after opening 355 packs. Progress says 24 of 25 legendaries and 33 of 34 neutral cards collected. Also I am stick on 2/3 for games played with shaman, mage or demo hunter even though I’ve played 5 games.

im sure they will fix these soon. Anyone else can confirm?

  • In the End, We Were Not United in Stormwind - Will Questlines Remain at the Forefront?

That vocal minority has been persistent in holding on to the "dead by turn 7" talking point that has gradually become less and less true with each round of nerfs. It's pretty clear that a lot of the detractors haven't played the game at all since the early days of the expansion and haven't even bothered to check hsreplay to see if their complaints still hold water.

I hated Questlines as much as anyone for a long time, but at the moment, seeing how strong some ot the new cards are, I have strong doubts that Questlines are going to be anything like our biggest problem moving forward.

I'll add that through all this -- since the beginning of this Hearthstone year -- Paladin has never fallen from the top three archetypes, yet complaints about its power level have never caught on like the Questline hate. People do just get angry because everyone else is angry.

  • FiAV Pack Opening Day

Man, looks like I heavily underestimated how easy it is to get screwed.

Got Drek'thar literally in pack 2. That's a waste. Then proceeded to pity timer the next one.

Most important legendary I got was Dreadlich Tamsin and Bru'kan of the Elements. More or less completely missed those I wanted.

Once again Ive fulfilled the hearthstone circle of life. Get excited for the new set, opened all my packs and got disappointed. And we wonder why hearthstone is said to be expensive. 100 packs, and 1/5 of all the legendaries. Doesn't look too good eh?

  • I hope you enjoy your big stuff control & wombo combo meta.

    What?

  • I hope you enjoy your big stuff control & wombo combo meta.

    Do you? :)

  • FiAV Pack Opening Day

    Sorry, that sucks.

I got Drek'thar too, and was pretty bummed about that, given that I'll get the golden one within a few weeks. At least I get to play those decks now?

I opened 147 packs with my pre-orders, an arena expiration, and rewards from last month, etc. I opened 7 legendaries, so an average of 21 packs per...

On the other hand, I have opened a lot of epics, including 3 packs in a row with an epic in each.

I was disappointed with my haul so far, mostly because I was spoiled in the prior 3-4 expansions (where I averaged a legendary per 12-15 packs, which is really good odds).

Now to spend some of my hoarded gold on packs.
