I'd like to compare this to Walking Fountain, minus the Lifesteal but +4 attack. This guy would probably be too insane with lifesteal, but he's still a "comeback" legendary where he can remove 2 big threats and help stabilize the board when you're behind.
If you're a very slow control deck vs an aggro deck, this guy will be your best friend
Im actually waiting to see if dhunter gets more early game cards that can decently curve into this so we can have a midrange dhunter deck of which this card may be the perfect 4 drop in.
Its obviously not designed to be placed into big dhunter. Team5 have subtlely set its cost to 4 to interfere with the obvious Vanndar synergy and its fairly obvious that getting this out from Proving Grounds will prove disastrous that no one will do it.
We'll have to see from further reveals. But for me, this is midrange stuff, not big demons.
Arena: Cards like Brawl can be amazing in the right deck and a waste of your precious card draw in another. This is not as lopsided as this doesn't remove your board while it is still able to remove an enemy minion, but it's similar in the way that it doesn't excel in each and every deck.
Cosntructed: Control decks will love Snowed In. Something needs to be pinged before you can play this, but Warriors have plenty of tools for that.
Until we see the frost cards, it may be impossible to judge its viability. On its own, its lucky enough to have the elemental tag, of which without its significantly worse than it may look.
Its actually decent, if not, very good enough to see play in ranked. Basically only aggro decks will play without legendaries, and only very rarely do we see the meta taken away by decks that play absolutely no minions, legendary or otherwise. Even quest mage will need to varden up at some point, so this card will only very rarely be completely worthless.
That said, its stats are bad, and as dumb as it is legendaries aren't always necessarily must kill targets. But being able to unconditionally take down a legendary no matter what it is, or how big it is, can sometimes be niche enough to actually be considered, maybe even tournament worthy.
But make no mistake, its a tech card. And like all tech cards, it'll see play when the meta is right.
Arena: These effects always do well in Arena and on top of that this gains a bunch of attack. Spammy Arcanist being in the meta already makes it so that you don't want to leave any of your minions at 1 mana. But along with this card that is an absolute no when you play against Warlock.
Arena: Battlecry will hit sometimes, but even when it does Warden of Chains is still not amazing. However, when the battlecry whiffs she isn't unplayable either, so certainly draftable.
Constructed: Too weak and obstructs Vanndar Stormpike's battlecry, so won't see play. Just maybe in a Midrange deck with not a lot of 5+ mana minions, but enough for Warden of Chains' battlecry to be consistent.
Kinda surprising that we only now get an effect like this. Looks like a decent tech card against very specific decks that still performs alright in other matchups because you're rarely playing against a deck without legendaries.
Looks weird, looks memey, but if played for 5+ mana I think Ivus, the Forest Lord is actually fairly strong. It trades Zilliax's Lifesteal for additional flexibility and unfortunately some uncertainty.
Arena: Yes, of course you want this in your deck!
Constructed: Zilliax's Lifesteal was significant. Therefore, I don't think this will be as commonly seen as Zilliax, but I don't think it has no place in the meta either. Deck that synergize with this card would probably want to include this, such as Quest or Divine Shield Paladin.
I suppose the trick here is that Defile on 2 or 3 is way more impactful than Defile on 5, when the 1 damage breakpoints are harder to line up.
I don't think I've ever seen a Defile being played on turn 2. The power of the card came from being able to use the rest of your mana to play minions or spells to line up for the Defile clear. If you see the need to play Defile on 2 it's because your opponent blarted his entire hand against a Warlock that played nothing on 1 and therefore, wasn't a zoo-lock.
Spammy Arcanist has a very different role: trying to be the board clear in a class without those. And right now, I don't feel the Control Hunter/ Control Druid dream.

So, a sometimes better Dragonmaw Scorcher, then. Well, I guess Warlocks will be good in Arena.

New Demon Hunter Minion - Warden of Chains
Warden of Chains is a Stegodon that sometimes buffs up to a Lakkari Felhound. Honestly a 3/8 taunt for 4 is pretty strong, but Demon Hunter has a lot of competition for 4-drops that would probably be more relevant in a Big Demon deck (e.g. Vanndar Stormpike and Raging Felscreamer).
