I think you are misunderstanding me; I am not upset that other players can use the skin but rather that the skin that was sold as exclusive is no longer exclusive. If someone wanted the skin, I am glad they can get it but it feels shitty to be "lied" to by Blizz.
A good example of this would any sort of collectible that was advertised as exclusive; if you bought then it was sold down the line you would be upset.
Yeah, what the apprentice does is ''pressing'' the hero power button as many times as the number of the enemies. Learned that some time ago when my opponent (mage), with zero cards in hand and having completed his Uldum quest, used the apprentice to profit:P
I can't imagine getting enjoyment from knowing other people don't have a skin in a digital card game, never mind actually valuing that monetarily.
Speaking as someone who has bought almost all of the pre-orders, and thinks seeing opponents have a larger variety of heroes to show up as can only add to the game.
My issue with it is that when something is labeled as a pre-order bonus, you expect it to be exclusive. And they have been. None of the other heroes have gone on sale so it feels like Blizz has taken away the exclusivity of the two that have, which is taking away what I got from them. Exclusive skins.
It has been about 3 years since their original release. Nothing wrong with it. If they had the random hero option, I'd guarantee people who pre-ordered these heroes would have the option on. It is no different from cardbacks then and heroes now. People being able to buy old cosmetics isn't going to detract from what you got from yours.
I'd be tempted to put Brightwing in the opening lineup. The potential to buff Krush and get him on the board without anyone dying -- while still activating Nature Combos -- is just too good. If not Brightwing, then definitely Malfurion. The Malfurion-Guff synergy seems a lot better to me than Thrall-Guff.
In PvE, it all depends on the enemy comp, but I assume you're referring to PvP here.
I won't make a habit of crafting rares, but it's worth noting that 100 rare coins is basically nothing. I saw Trump get more Tamsin coins than that at the end of a single run of the bounty in question. A lot of people seem to be underestimating how easy it is to get rare coins.
Obviously, I'd rather get her from a pack, but if I don't see her within the first five packs or so, I'll just pull the trigger. I refuse to be a slave to pack RNG.
First and only opponent: a Warlock. Easiest brawl ever.
Did you know that if a Warlock plays Reckless Apprentice, he draws a card (and takes damage) once for each enemy minion? I guess my opponent didn't know, either.
I tried to play Galakrond Warlock, thinking non-Galakrond classes can't benefit from him at all. Turns out they do if they have that class's Galakrond.
It looks like Tamsin will be an easy craft if I don't find her in free packs -- one of the Barrens bounties offers her coins at a boosted rate -- and she's one of the mercs I want to start working on soon, hoping to create a good demon team (or shadow team, or both) eventually.
I don't know if I would recommend crafting a Rare Merc, considering no-dupe protection should mean you'll pull her relatively quickly. Granted I counted 17 Rare Mercs in the release lineup, but some of those are free; even if they weren't, roughly 20 packs to open them all is not a lot.
That being said if you're entirely F2P without dropping a single gold coin on packs (let alone actual $), I could see crafting her being the faster option, since you can grind that one particular Bounty. *shrugs* Still silly, in my opinion, but it's there as you noted.
Lets play a game - Non-existing cards
Yep, I'm pretty sure a lot of people forgot this card existed. Never seen her played, so I don't even know what her voice line is.
Half and Half
Yeah it looks like you can have both of two regular copies and gold copies of the same card.
Half and Half
Fun deck! Played against a paladin -- was funny to see the Reckless Apprentice combo with Silver Hand Recruits!
Trolling non-Mages
Funny, I made almost this exact same deck today!
The main difference is I didn't have 3x Pyromaniac! :)
Half and Half
Maybe that Warlock was just very eager to activate Jan'alai and Mordresh.
Half and Half
So, this is in no way good... but I think its hilarious

Rastakhan's Rumble and Saviors of Uldum Pre-Order Hero Skins Have Returned - Buy King Rastakhan and Elise Starseeker
I agree. I have both of these skins and no longer even use either of them. Why not let someone else get enjoyment out of them, it doesn’t harm me.
Half and Half
Same for the hero power mage. I absolutely loved this brawl.
Only loss i had was against a hunter that boosted his hero power and played Reckless Apprentice against my nearly full board.
5 or 6 times 5 damage hero power activation in my face, beautiful.

Big meme, love it, gonna try it with Nozdormu the Eternal :)

Hearthstone Gets Many New Mercenaries Card Keywords - What Are Deathblow, Bleed, Root, Spell Combo, and Critical Damage?
My guess would be a PvE opponent. I don't recall seeing it on any of the datamined mercs.
It could also be from a merc slated for later release.
The nature comp’ fat thrall

I feel sorry for the first mage that plays this vs a hunter.
Mercs’ launch: who are you going to level up first?
Fair enough :) Tamsin looks strong and fun, so the sooner the better, right?

God I hate this. Why make skins exclusive to pre-orders and then sell a random pair down the line??
