Those stats are so janky and the recruit effect belongs back in Dec 2017. No idea what blizzard wanted to do with this minion, but hey, least the deathrattle will trigger quite easily
I don't really see it shine in wild, but maybe in a Totem Overload deck with a lot of board presence. Being able to double Bloodlust seems really really op.
With two of the SI:7 cards and two gizmos either have or could gain/give stealth, I think combining this with the Ashes of Outland's stealth package (or specifically Greyheart Sage) is the way to go with this quest.
As for the SI:7 cards themselves, they range from decent to pretty good, though the top end of Informant and Assassin really does require you to go all in on the SI:7 package to shine. Overall, while I don't think that you can or should blitz through these tasks, playing the deck like a Tempo Rogue will still complete them in a reasonable time.
The Spy Gizmos are all fantastic for their low low costs of 1 mana: As I alluded to earlier, Undercover Mole and Noggen-Fog Generator makes me inclined to combine the Questline with Greyheart Sage to keep up the tempo. Turning Scabbs into a 9/7 Stealth is also very nice. Hidden Gyroblade is actually a crazy efficient damage, even though the deathrattle only targets enemy minions. Fizzflash Distractor is straight up better Sap, nuff said. Spy-o-matic is the least impactful of the five gizmos, but even he can still be a bit disruptive to your opponent's gameplan by messing with their top deck.
Overall I think this is a really fantastic quest. Probably not Tier 1, but a very solid Tier 2.
A lot of people are seeing the haves and not the have nots here. But I will point it out. Mage can tutor a specific spell demon hunter can reduce 4 cards cost, hunter can target minions with their hero people shaman can get rid of their overload. Druid gains 5 armor.
Not even discussing the final reward the difference is laughable.

Has there been confirmation that the 2nd step can really be done in pieces? The wording of the 1st and 3rd step "Gain X attack" seems like it can be done across multiple turns (similar to "Gain X armor" quests), but the wording of the 2nd step "Give your hero +5 attack" sounds like it will only trigger if you have "+5 attack" at a single point in time, rather than a smaller amount across multiple turns.
Okay, just hero power each turn would be inefficient. Of course if that works, so would hero power one turn followed by Feral Rage the next. I initially thought it would be too hard to complete if you had to get up to the required attack in a single turn, but perhaps I didn't really look at the hero attack buff cards, and I certainly didn't attempt to calculate any probabilities, just guessed that it would be unlikely to be able to have the cards in hand to get +4 in one turn, followed by +5 in a reasonable timeframe, then +6.
Also searching Druid cards for the text "your hero" doesn't return Solar Eclipse, so I didn't think of that one, and how helpful it could be.
Good luck on next adventures for him then :P I almost never watched esports stuff, but when I did, usually he, "the weird hair guy" was casting it.
Buuut. I watched Omnistone, it was a great podcast. Perfect mix - Frodan (esports guy), Kibler (game designer view) and Firebat (competitive and top player). I don't follow news every week and it was perfect for that, with a mix of meta game discussions.
Maaaybe it's a time for him to resurrect it? (doubt it :P but would be nice)
Disappointed that I can't hope for getting a chance at a free bundle this time around, but I haven't seen those being given away other places either, and with all the bad PR Blizzard is getting recently I'm not surprised. I haven't ever won a free bundle, so not getting one this time either isn't too much of a change anyway ;)
When you want to basically play with a 28 card deck. Not quite but close.
Though this not being Nature actually might help Shaman not lean so much on Primal Dungeoneer for... all their decks, but the Dungeoneer is just way too good.
So sad that this is outclassed by Venomous Scorpid, but on the other hand, you could just run both in the same deck.
As for the Questline decks that want to run this are going to be Mage, Priest, Hunter, maybe Demon Hunter, Shaman, Druid, and Paladin. Rogue, Warlock, and Warrior all much rather focus on the quest itself and most of the spells probably won't advance the quest.
Nope, you can hero power each turn to give incremental progress! The thing is just that I did not consider it most the time because for the required amounts of 4-5-6, relying on the hero power more than once is not only mana inefficient, but also slow enough to the point where by the time we would be able to finish each off the hero power, we would have already drawn into some of our attack buff cards.
That being said, there are scenarios where a combination of attack buffs from cards and from the hero power can be faster than just the cards alone. The best example of this is with the 5 attack breakpoint and [cardPark Panther. The ability to attack with the panther once then hero power twice over the next two turns is more reliable than stringing together 2 Pounce and a hero power.
New Warrior Minion - Cowardly Grunt

New Neutral Minion - Stockades Prisoner
Certain classes like Rogue/Hunter could take advantage of this effect quite quickly. Could definitely seeing it getting added into Face Hunter
New Warrior Spell - Provoke
Very interesting design where you want a certain minion to take a lot of hits (plenty of frenzy minions for warrior) and some other good choices: https://outof.cards/hearthstone/cards/?hsclass=12&hsclass=10&text=takes+damage&collectible=yes&standard=yes
kinda like a reverse Warmaul Challenger?
New Shaman Spell - Command the Elements
It's going to be a good card.

New Rogue Spell - Find the Imposter
*HOOONK*
Alright, let's sus this out before we vote:

New Shaman Minion - Bolner Hammerbeak
Shudderwok called. He says Jepetto and him want to meet Bolner and be BFFS.
New Hunter Spell - Ramming Mount
Not a bad card. Powerful with rhino.
Questing in Stormwind - Better Understanding Druid's Lost in the Park Legendary Questline
Not even discussing the final reward the difference is laughable.
New Druid Minion - Sheldras Moontree
If I get it, gonna love memeing with a jade druid and see the outcome. I would toss the coin and if I fatigue, then so be it!

Sad to see him leave, but do wish him all the best in future endeavors.

New Mage Minion - Clumsy Courier
This card is not great... Maybe for a big spell mage... but honestly, it's not my cup of tea.
New Hunter Minion - Imported Tarantula
In wild this would not see play... unless in some weird archetype that would rise for the memes.
New Rogue Minion - SI:7 Informant
Edwin Van7.
Only worse.
New Neutral Minion - Entrapped Sorceress
Excellent tool to all quests. Especially Hunter, Mage and Priest IMO.
In wild is even better. Yay!

edit: Doesn't work. I must have mixed something up.
New Mage Minion - Prestor's Pyromancer
Good that you can bank the Spell damage for your Combustions and Fire Sales.
New Mage Spell - Hot Streak
Well Spell School focused Preparation was probably gonna happen sometime. Somehow though I think this falls by the wayside.
