Good stats for cost + taunt at a minimum, but is a nice pay off for spending all the rest of your mana drawing cards. Still have my doubts on the quests viability, but if quest ends up being good, then this will be alright. Also is a decent (ish) Big DH minion.
Its really just not that great IMO. Unless the eventually add something that benefits off of playing Sigils, then I dont know if it will see play. Can help with quest, but only by one card, and then you HAVE to try and complete the step next turn and can't react if your opponent plays a big minion or something.
I can't see the image you posted, but you can see it on the Blizzard page about rewards track update at PlayHearthstone.com
While I wasn't expecting it to be the same artwork, I believe they have confirmed previously that the person featured in Judicious Junior is actually Tamsin. If they didn't confirm it previously, this new Scholomance Tamsin hero portrait sure seems to. Whether it was intended from the start or not, I personally love the tie in.
I hope people don't confuse this as a corporation caring. Corporations do not care. Corporations exists to make money and shelter the people who profit from them from scrutiny. They do not make decisions based on any morals or ethics only what they believe will affect their profits.
It's just another cynical PR move to appease people rather than any virtuous intent.
Since I'm new I don't really have a good feel for the current system yet, so take this with a grain of salt.
1) Expand the rating system
I am personally not a fan of this option. I'm afraid that depending on how many submissions there are, too many sliders might become either overwhelming or tedious. I tend to give 2 stats to lacking cards, 3 to okay cards and 4 to the more interesting ones, with 1 and 5 being reserved for exceptions. My main concern being that with specific criteria we might lose track of the bigger picture. What about originality? If we split them up, are 3 aspects to rate really enough? And should they all be of the same value to the final average?
Another issue, although this one is not too difficult to solve, would be defining the different aspects. Does card rarity belong to balance or execution?
2) Cut the Finalists Voting
I like this solution better. In a way we can already get voting through feedback, resulting in this being the third vote. My only concern is that it puts a hole in the competition, resulting in the submission phase being too long. And I think there should somehow still be credit given to the runner-ups.
3) Rewards & Leaderboards
I won't dive too deep into the details on this one because I don't have the necessary experience for it yet.
My concern is that long term scores might discourage people who simply don't usually score very high or don't always participate. That being said I do like the idea of more people getting credit than just the winner. Currently that would be the finalists, so I would like for the competitions to keep something similar.
Another solution could be ordering the finalist (from best to worst) to decide on a winner. It feels stupid to rate cards you already rated a few days ago. This way the finals continue being special and it doesn't create a hole (time-wise) in the competition.
1) Expand the rating system - i get where ur coming from, and technically we could try this, but it could also put ppl off by having to think harder about the card. Not saying we couldnt/wouldnt do it, just something that would need more thinking about. If we keep finalist voting, maybe we could implement it for finalists only, that should make for more fair voting field.
2) Cut the Finalists Voting - that is something that is worth considering for sure, but again, not a light decision. We'll see.
3) Rewards & Leaderboards - more rewards were supposed to be a thing already, but other stuff got priority, sorry! We definitely plan on implementing those in the future. Leaderboards should be possible as well, probably just the question of dev time vs working on other stuff with higher priority.
I realy like the card, I'd say it's fine as it is, except for bolding 'traded'

I like the idea a lot, but I feel like people may not like Hero cards, remembering how they affected the game. Still, it's one of my favourites of the comp, but it should in fact be a Warrior card.

It's ok, if a bit dangerous. I like the second art more, mostly because it's not used anywhere in the game, but first one also is good.

It's pretty good, all I can do is to echo other people saying that you should replace 'someone' with 'any player', or 'a player'. Also, I'd say it would make more sense in game for this to only work with our trades, not realy sure why would you add tech against Trading part to the card.

Pretty much everything other said, I'd make it 'First time you Trade a spell a turn, Trade it for one of another school'. Considering that there are pretty much only Fire, Frost and Arcane for mage, I'd say you don't have to include them in text.

I like it, but I'm not sure about balance. 1 Mana dgive a minion in hand +2/+2 and draw a card looks fairly strong. Maybe +1/+1 or +1/+2 is enough?
Gives me Revenge of the Wild flashbacks so this time I'll pretend this is garbage so that maybe it turns out playable.
I know what you mean. I can't exactly explain it, but this just feels like that one card that everyone thinks will be powerful but then ends up never being played and then forgotten over time.
But at the same time it is 0 mana and effectively gives your minions rush so maybe it will be played?
The one part that still has me skeptical is how similar it is to Trueaim Crescent, which, while not a bad card at all, often falls flat because the order of attack rarely works out the way you need it to (for instance if you have a 3/4 on board and a Lake Thresher in hand to clear the board, but the 3/4 will always turn into collateral because it was played first).
I'm a bit more optimistic here because of the whole Rat archetype which doesn't seem to be one that relies on always having a board but rahter spontaneously spawning one as needed.
I feel the same way about this card as I do about every other swarm hunter card I have seen this expansion, I really want it to work, but realistically don't think it will. It does have strong stats, but you have to spend 3 mana then wait a turn, and if your opponent doesn't have removal you get to do the same thing druids get to do for 2 mana without the wait or the beast requirement.
@linkblade91 - the Durability loss part is not shared among copies of your cards. It was intended that you lose durability for the weapon you trade, not for all copies when you trade any of them.
Right, but that's not what I am saying. When you play the weapon the Battlecry triggers, and when you destroy the weapon (either via having no Durability, or by replacing it with another weapon), the Deathrattle goes off. One Battlecry + one Deathrattle + the second Battlecry = six Imps on turn 1 with the Coin. No Trading is required.
This is just a strong card, the math works out. 5 damage is worth a 3 mana investment. You do have to use your hero power for 2 mana to take advantage of it, but you're playing Hunter, you're already using your hero power every other turn. And in conjunction with the quest, this is just bonkers.

Excellent card. I love Discover card so much, and add the fact that there are so many quests that will be assisted with this, it's a great inclusion. Only reason it's not an auto 5 is that not all decks will use quests

As much as I would enjoy climbing the ladder with my Pied Piper Hunter, realistically this is just trash. 4 mana 2/2 with no immediate impact already makes this terrible, and the deathrattle isn't great either. Those rats are only useful when used in conjunction with other cards that can take advantage of a wide board. But since this comes in the form of a deathrattle, you have much less control over when those rats are summoned, making them much harder to utilize.
