Yesterday I turned a Rank Two Tame Beast into a Rank One Tame Beast, so I don't think the HS team has too many qualms about making it turn back into itself if it needs to. Obviously a whole different situation, but I think it speaks to their philosophy about it.
I use taco blanket on my yogg. I don't like libran of hope. I totally agree with you.
Hopefully they get it right this time Ionia is one the most annoying region to deal with due to deny and nopeify and now we could probably add syncopation to the list.
This card actually seems pretty good with Syncopation. If you have even 1 Elusive you can use Syncopation to essentially make this an elusive, which can push huge damage.
My understanding is that the blades just appear in-combat and attacking; you don't spend or gain an attack token. Think like how Cataclysm works. I would expect it does proc Azir / Greenglade Duo / etc. The blades self-oblit when combat ends, so they would only proc Thresh / They Who Endure / Phantom Prankster / etc if they are blocked & killed before the combat ends.
Ribbon dancer is certainly going to be one of the best 2 drops of the game and I am curious how strong decks around this dude can become but I am afraid it could form a tier 0 ionia deck... at least it's a viable Ionia deck for once :)
I know this is a huge call but I call it now: this is going to be more broken than Hush the ability to choose new targets for enemy's spot removal, the ability to make every unblocked unit potentially leathal and the ability to protect units in combat from getting wiped out by a combat trick is so much power in a 2 mana burst speed spell that this card HAS TO BE broken.
So I guess Ionia is getting back to the playfield...
I kinda like the idea behind this guy. A 4 mana x/6 is a good statline yet, it won't be easy to get these stats connected to the opponent's fa... nexus so yeah he could be really good or really bad
Well... this is going to be BROKEN with the shuriman "summon on attack" landmarks. If all you need to do for an free attack is playing a 2 drop... in a Region with a ton of bounce effects for own units then THIS card is INSANE at getting extra attack phases. Attacking 3+ times in a turn won't be any difficult with that... Yeah forget about LucianAzir and say hello to Azir irelia
A good comparison is Rattlegore. He's another card that many classes just cannot deal with without playing a weak neutral tech card. And he's much easier to play at a relevant time than Akama Prime, especially with Commencement around. But does anyone complain about Rattlegore? No. So I just don't buy that making AP a 6/7 would cause any problems.
While i understand where you are coming from, the comparison is not as close as you want to make it out to be. Having or not having the option to silence the problem card is a pretty big difference imho.
Fair point, although I would counter it by saying that, unlike Rattlegore, you don't really need to silence Akama Prime. You just need to find some way to do destroy him once, either through chipping his health down or hard removal. There are several neutral options in both directions, and from experience AP damages himself by taking trades quite often, so we should not ignore the potential contribution from any old minion, especially those with taunt.
Perhaps more importantly though, most slow decks don't need to run any tech cards to deal with AP because they already have answers by default. So there isn't even a need for tech cards like there is with Rattlegore.
In the end, experience shows that AP is just too easy to remove at the time he is played, which is a shame for a card whose entire purpose is to be difficult to remove. I'm fine with 'weak but cool' cards - they are my HS bread and butter! - but AP dies so often that you quickly come to doubt the 'cool' part.
So basically you play ribbon dancer, she summon a blade and that blade attack for free. This have great synergy with both Azir and Miss Fortune since it triggers their effects and works toward their level 2.
3rd May update: Dane's Shudderwock Shaman, ft. Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate
My obsession with Shudderwock Shaman continues! This time, we try out Dane's deck. Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate is a fascinating inclusion. This is a hard deck to pilot - knowing when to go off with the Spirit of the Frog is important. You can also end up drawing through your deck very very quickly.
Yogg is your win condition. Repeated Yogg battle-cries decides the outcome of the game. There is a very real possibility that you lose the game! This can be described as "hostage Shaman with RNG attached"! (Quote Frederick Vassar from Twitter!).
Please note - this is a fun deck, not a competitive deck!
I think this deck lacks the burn needed to close out games. The original TF Elise go-hard didn't have this issue because it doubled as an early game deck, but without the TF red cards and the early pressure, I see them living with 1/2 hp in many games and you running out of steam after the first Pack your bags. I think a deck like Lee Sin Zoe or Lissandra Trundle probably wins 70-80% of the time bc of running out of steam vs decks with healing or many board clears. Also, I think Spirit Fire is a bit much since we have Zilean, but its hard to know that from a theory craft.
It could open for me, but I wonder if anything to do with permissions. I can no longer Edit the post - I wonder if because it was moved (just shows the prefix, not the post content)

Hearthstone Masters Tour Orgrimmar - Decklists, Results & Recap
This was a great Masters Tour to watch. Extremely happy to see Floki do so well again, and great to see Gaby get his well-deserved GM spot.

Yeah, i imagine Syncopation will see a lot of play. Not only it is cheap, but its a burst spell, that will ruin many plans for a lot of ppl :)
