Right, I've got another tribe here, but instead of doing it on a PowerPoint as per usual, I'm just gonna do the traditional method of putting the cards on this post behind the spoilers. The Quilboar tribe was fully revealed the other day which forced me to scrap my other tribe, the Kobolds, due to how staggeringly similar they were. This led me back to square one, and then suddenly, Nagas came to mind as a potential new tribe.
The Nagas mainly function around one mechanic, surpassing Attack thresholds. The simplest card to demonstrate this idea is the Starving Seahunter, which gains Windfury once it reaches, or surpasses, the 5 Attack threshold. This effect will only go off once on the minion, similar to a delayed Battlecry. We also have minions with repeatable Attack triggers, such as the Advance Hydroguard or the Swamplands Stalker.
There is also a small synergy within the tribe related to Golden cards, which was partially inspired by the inclusion of a new version of Zola the Gorgon (Zola, Golden Witch). Goldscale Temptress is the other synergy with Golden minions.
It's not great, but I think it does give Landmark decks something valuable. Now they can just be Targon+Shurima with stall tools and just enough Landmarks to level up Malphite (probably cutting Taliyah for Zilean unless there's more synergy). Malphite seems like crazy enough of a win condition to make that deck work, and Targon has enough heal cards to survive until round seven (it would run Starshaping and Solari Sunforger). I'm kind of disappointed that it's just another Targon stall deck using Malphite instead of Celestials, but at least it could lead to some of the Shurima Landmarks seeing play.
I was playing paladin with Reckoning in play. My opponent plays Tundra Rhino and gives it Immune with Bestial Wrath. He attacks with it and it dies from Reckoning even though it had Immune.
Normally, things with immune can't be targeted, and if you play an AoE they just ignore the damage. But I guess since Reckoning hits a single target, but you aren't the one picking the target, it works differently.
Also, could you destroy an Immune minion with a random effect like Deadly Shot? Or would that work differently?
Honestly as it stands I'd rather play Zilean/Malphite than Taliyah/Malphite. Paying 5 Mana for a 2|4 is so awful that it needs insane payoff to be worthwhile, and right now there still aren't any great Landmarks to copy.
Not that it is bad no, but i would imagine with a limited deck space, you would want something more impactful. But i guess ping + 1/1 blocker is decent enough.
Vile feast is still good, it's quite impactful for 2 mana.
so if you play 3 blue buffs (and they die) you get 6 mana of landmarks, you need more.. maybe Ionia gets better landmarks with Irelia and we finally get the dream of Yasuo + Malphite, there is no better known combo in league (mainly cause 20% of the player base main Yasuo/Yone).
But your opinion is based upon wrong facts. If Grommash is neutral it will be broken as hell, that is why it is class specific. We havent even seen neutral spells.
RSW is just a card for spell mage, the thing that makes it OP is the spell discount from other cards not his own effect. It also takes up a spot from spells that could be minion generators/damage dealers.
Not being a WoW player, I can only conclude that the Wailing Caverns are a peaceful place, and that those pools of water are just the collected tears of everyone who goes there to have a good cry.
FWIW the card back looks nice enough. I'm a big fan of the simple designs
After another week I´ve hit lvl 90 with 90% achievements done (missing the 200 sigils, 600 Sermon buffs,100 rank spells, copying 5 secrets and building golems rank 2 and 3, since I don´t own the Kazakus). Got the coin and feel pretty much as h0lysatan above me, it´s getting quite boring. After hitting lvl 100 you got nothing to be excited for, just plain gold.
Anyway, where are you all? How far are you with your XP achievements? Which hero are you choosing this time? Any other thoughts? Let us know :)
Happy leveling all!
Im LVL 52 rn, seems like i havent moved much in two weeks from 35-ish. But that is fine, I dont play that much, mostly BGs every so often and doing Quests, so it goes about as well as expected considering.
Without the Tavern pass, it is kinda bare and you mostly just open gold rewards, and the occasional Year of pack or Tavern Ticket isnt that much exciting. The free legendary was nice tho, but not like it was my goal to rush it or anything. I dont mind the gold rewards in general, with the Hero Skins hitting shop for gold, iv spend a couple thousand gold on em already, so in a sense, that is my reward. I did like the golden cards, i like golden cards in general, more so the ones that generate another card, so that was cool.
I get that the Tavern Pass is the new way to monetize the game and you get extra bling, that is all fine, im ok with how the non-Tavern pass road looks, but it doesnt excite me, and it definitely does not keep me engaged to lvl up for some rewards down the road. I guess just knowing i will hit lvl100 eventually and will get to pick the skin is enough for me, if i had to actively play each day to be able to do that, in my position, i would probably just not do that, but would be bummed out about it. So like i said, nothing too exciting for me, but im fine with what im getting right now.
This is not exactly big demon hunter, but control odd big demon hunter has been better in my experience than pure big demon hunter because the 2 attack hero power helps a lot with early game board control

Malphite Champion & 2 New Targon Cards for Runeterra's Guardians of the Ancient Expansion Revealed!
Right, they show it in the video. "You've summoned 12+ mana worth of landmarks"?
Strange interaction with the Immune keyword
Immune minions are not immune to death, only damage and targetting.
Deadly Shot and Twisting Nether will still destroy immune minions.

I think the wording is like that because you can summon landmarks without paying for them, but they still have a printed mana cost.

Malphite Champion & 2 New Targon Cards for Runeterra's Guardians of the Ancient Expansion Revealed!
Wanted to add her but what landmark from the new ones you want to copy for her ability to be good?
And when you lv her up she is not a win con like the others.
Like let's say lissandra and trundle.
Here :The big guy is the ''muscle'' but you got to have the ''brain''(win con) champ and i can't see her .
Malphite is the win con with overwhelm but you get one spell like that from a land mark and is slow .
Taliyah is great but she need something or someone else with landmarks .
and even yasou is not perfect for him but is ok for now.

Malphite in LoR: Giant rock monster the size of a building
Malphite in LoL: Rejected Toy Story extra
auto ornaments + bruising
I prefer - Playmaker / + Tent Trasher
Also played with -Troublemaker / + Ringmaster's Baton, baton can really get you some early tempo.
Fun with Brewster, the Brutal, although it's slow in the first 2-3 matches.

Not entirely excited about how Malphite was integrated, but I guess Landmark synergy is cool?
