Hmmm it seems bad considering a lot of early game removals deal 3 damage these days, BUT Bladed Cultist alongside a 1 drop on turn 2 seems really good in aggro decks. And it also seems strong alongside a Coin on turn 1. Worst case scenario it's just a 1 mana 1/2 that activates a combo of one of your other cards.
Perfect card, it perfectly portraits rogues identity and i'm so happy they buffed it so it works in mirror matches. It always had great flavor and it still sees frequent play in wild. Strong and fun card!
Hmm.. i'm skeptical about this. It seems bad on first glance, but now that Sap is gone this might act as a "replacement" as long as you have a minion on board. Which is pretty easy considering rogue has a lot of stealth minions right now. Alright.. i'm willing to give this card a chance, hope it doesn't dissapoint.
Seems solid, coins are amazing in rogue and it has good stats. I didn't play HS when this was around, but i heard it was used a lot. Like must include level strong. So i'm interested in seeing how good it will be in standard after all this time.
Aggro rogue still uses this surprisingly, and still makes Wandmaker good. I.m.o. you know rogue is extremely strong if they can easely afford to run this card.
Just when I was finally starting to get into Runeterra a bit, this Shurima stuff dropped, and now I just auto-concede half the games I play. Looks like it's back to full-time HS and Magic.
Regarding zoo, I think his point is not that they don't have good 1-2 drops, but rather that they are always close to the threshold where it becomes a problem. Perhaps that was ensured by always having both Flame Imp and Voidwalker in Standard until now. Of course zoo would use the hp more if it had more strong 1-2 drops to rely on, so his comments are consistent at least. Since they are clearly conscious of the dangers, it is perhaps unlikely we'll actually be given enough to test it for ourselves in Standard.
As for hunter and class identity, you can't have your cake and eat it. The primary reason people want control rogue and hunter decks is because they have significantly different tools to other classes, but the primary reason they have those tools is because their class identities have traded away defensive tools for them. In practice, DH fills in the gap for control variants of both classes, since it has the tempo and face damage of rogue and hunter alongside healing and AoE. Granted it doesn't have the more specialist sides of rogue and hunter, but that's kind of my point: it can't fit all of it in.
This isn't really the place for a big discussion about the pros and cons of class identity, so I'll leave it at that.
Interesting. Now we MIGHT see the classic PreparationSprint combo again, BUT it does have to compete against the powerhouse that is Secret Passage. But i feel like Sprint might see more play in slower rogue decks that don't want to "lose" their hand for a turn.
Good 'ol Preparation. One of rogue's best combo activator and mana cheat cards. Rogue without prep is unimaginable, so i'm glad it's still in the core set.
Wow it doesn't die to taking 1 damage randomly anymore! Good thing that 2 dmg AOE spells don't excist in the early game! that would be terrible!
Okay sarcasm aside, it's still bad and i forgot it existed. Stealth rogue probably doesn't want it unless they REALLY need a way to remove stuff now that Sap is gone.
Hmm.. might still see play? Probably in some kind of control/value priest. Those decks will be a lot weaker because of Galakrond rotating, but it's still playable. Aggro/tempo priest probably doesn't want it, they rather include better statted 1 drops.
[Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)
Nope.
New Rogue Minion - Bladed Cultist

New Rogue Spell - Deadly Poison
Glad to see it still in standard. Deadly Poison is an iconic rogue card and really shows you that rogue is also all about weapons.
New Rogue Minion - Swashburglar
Perfect card, it perfectly portraits rogues identity and i'm so happy they buffed it so it works in mirror matches. It always had great flavor and it still sees frequent play in wild. Strong and fun card!
New Rogue Spell - Cold Blood
Strong buff for aggro rogue, Weapon rogue and Stealth Rogue. Strong card for the rogue core set.
[Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)
Sindragosa?
New Rogue Minion - Plague Scientist
Hmm.. i'm skeptical about this. It seems bad on first glance, but now that Sap is gone this might act as a "replacement" as long as you have a minion on board. Which is pretty easy considering rogue has a lot of stealth minions right now. Alright.. i'm willing to give this card a chance, hope it doesn't dissapoint.
New Rogue Minion - Tomb Pillager
Seems solid, coins are amazing in rogue and it has good stats. I didn't play HS when this was around, but i heard it was used a lot. Like must include level strong. So i'm interested in seeing how good it will be in standard after all this time.
New Rogue Spell - Sinister Strike
I'm pretty sure this is going to be necessary in tempo Rogue purely because Eviscerate is gone and you need the reach
New Rogue Weapon - Assassin's Blade
luckily Self-Sharpening Sword will almost certainly be nerfed
New Rogue Spell - Assassinate
Solid buff, Assassinate was always to expansive and now it actually is usable... kinda. Malevolent Strike and Coerce are still beter removals, but at least Assassinate can now "compete". RIP Walk the Plank though, and Vilespine Slayer is no longer a full on upgrade anymore.
New Rogue Spell - Sinister Strike
Aggro rogue still uses this surprisingly, and still makes Wandmaker good. I.m.o. you know rogue is extremely strong if they can easely afford to run this card.
New Rogue Minion - SI:7 Agent
Staple combo card and i'm happy to see "heh, disquised toast" still in standard!
New Rogue Weapon - Assassin's Blade
Seems good now, but it does have to compete against Self-Sharpening Sword. Unfortunatly i don't think Assassin's Blade will see play, unless Self-Sharpening Sword gets nerfed.
Riot must be hurting for money

Forged in the Barrens
Bring on the countdown timers!!!!!! (when they are known of course)
New Rogue Spell - Preparation

New Rogue Minion - Patient Assassin

[Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)
Nope.
New Priest Spell - Flash Heal
Never really saw play before i think, but compared to Radiance it is a great upgrade. You probably will get this from random generation.
New Druid Minion - Druid of the Plains
OP
New Priest Minion - Psychic Conjurer
Hmm.. might still see play? Probably in some kind of control/value priest. Those decks will be a lot weaker because of Galakrond rotating, but it's still playable. Aggro/tempo priest probably doesn't want it, they rather include better statted 1 drops.
New Priest Spell - Desperate Prayer
Meme priest combo incomiing!
