You’re right. I was thinking that the fact that you can’t include They Who Endure. But since the whole point of this is replacing that card, I guess that’s not a problem.
That said, I don’t think the top Nasus decks will look very much like the top Endure decks. With Endure, you care about your own units dying, regardless of which player killed them. With Nasus, you want to be doing the killing regardless of which side the unit is on. There may be some commonality, but I expect some big differences too.
i definately think the Win 5 Ranked games should be changed to win any 5 of any vs player mode (so excluding any PVE).
We were promised "play hearthstone your way" so I don't see why people should be forced to play ranked if they don't want to. I play pretty much ranked exclusively anyway so not a major issue for me, but I don't see why others should be forced.
That would be awesome, since i dont play ranked pretty much at all, and i cant be bothered to achieve 5 wins per week. If i could complete it in BG or Arena, that would be good for me.
But i do understand the decision behind it, promoting the main game mode and to win, you need cards = trying to boost sales.
Lol I'm still not use to the new acronym -- I saw this threat title and thought it might have something to do with the launch of a new Fitbit-integration feature. :-P
I feel like this is one of the situations where you want a mechanic gone until you actually see what its like without it. I'm not saying that Hush is balanced necessarily but I do want to keep effect methods of dealing with things like Anivia or The Undying. I mean there are two other examples of silence that haven't broken the game in the form of Sunburst and Purify. I recognize that neither of those have seen much play recently but I feel that is more so due to the lack of worth while targets in the current meta.
Edit: I also think they don't see much use because there is Hush out performing them both.
This is a good observation, and the more I think about it, the became obvious to me that riot wanted her design to reflect her personality rather than her league gameplay. In the lore Lissandra is portrayed as a mastermind who manipulates other people to do her dirty work, in game her state aren't good for attacking so the player in encouraged to keep her in the back row and let her thrall do the fighting, also her champion spell Entomb do behave like a crownd control ability since it temporary disables a unite.
I think Nasus will depend on finding a deck that triggers Slay a lot naturally, rather than going out of your way for it. I'm not convinced aggro Shadow Isles They Who Endure-style decks will Slay enough.
Except everyone IS "shopping today" because we are comparing veteran players to newer players at the launch of an expansion at the beginning of a rotation.
No one is saying that new players aren't getting a better deal out of this - I conceded as much in my original response. But new player and veteran player value are independent variables. Your complaint is with what you believe to be a misrepresentation of veteran player value in gaming media, so any comparisons to new player value only serves to conflate issues. This is exactly why I got into questions of fairness and refunds in an earlier post (not based on H0lySatan's post, as I mentioned) - you're using the difference between new player and veteran player value to claim misrepresentation, which implicitly brings up these questions of fair value to veteran players.
And no, you cannot definitively say the cost of the game will go down over time, anyway. Blizzard makes money by selling expansions. They are not going to make the Core set so powerful that it cuts in to expansion sales.
It's clear we're not ever going to see eye-to-eye on this, so I'm not going to continue to engage on this beyond this final post. The question of "will the cost of the game go down" is the heart of this issue here. It's clear you believe that switching from Classic/Basic sets to the new Core Set will be net-neutral in terms of what percentage of any given deck comes from "core cards" vs expansion cards, and therefore won't impact the cost of meta decks, which in turn means it won't impact the practical costs of keeping up with the meta after an expansion. If that's true, then the switch will certainly add zero economic value for any player who already had a full Classic set.
But as I've already cited in an earlier post, Celestalon has said we should expect the base power level of the Core Set to be higher than Classic/Basic because, as a rotating set, it can afford to be stronger than an evergreen set can without introducing long-term balance issues. Whether you choose to believe that Celestalon is honestly expressing the intent of the Hearthstone team is up to you, but if the Core Set is stronger than the Classic/Basic sets, the natural result will be a higher percentage of meta decks coming from core cards, which in turn makes it cheaper to keep up-to-date with the meta. That benefit is conferred on every player, veteran or not. And that is what people are putting forth in these articles - the idea that the Core Set will be stronger and more valuable than the Classic/Basic sets ever were.
i definately think the Win 5 Ranked games should be changed to win any 5 of any vs player mode (so excluding any PVE).

No one has been using Deathwarden because you may face an opponent who doesn't even use Deathrattles. But if you want to suppress your own Deathrattles, it's suddenly a much better card. It may not always work out, but it may be worth playing if they add additional undesirable Deathrattles. There have been quite a few in the past!
Even with Fiora this card is too memey, that girl likes having barriers and protection spells. If you draw a second copy of nasus you can use it to level him up faster, other than that I don't see any use for this.
I will admit he is more interesting than those two in regards to fitting him into many decks. He can work with a lot of champions, that much I can say for him.
Well he is somewhat boring but he's still way better than champions like Leona and Diana. Plus, Fearsome makes him interesting because it synergizes with debuffs.
I think everyone would feel better if the quests didn't have the "win" requirement, and just a "play" requirement, which to be honest, Battlegrounds and Duels, are still Hearthstone, that they are not the same mode, and does not got with the same rules as standard/wild constructed, yeah... The same can be said about Arena, Brawls, PVE, and soon Classic and Mercenaries.
So, it's not a matter of "they should ban X quests", it's "they should rework X quests".
Because, being honest, I wouldn't mind getting XP for surrendering 3 or more times.
Honestly, I've been thinking a lot about it and I think the solution is to change Hush to be a more restricted card instead of a staple in Targon decks. Even though Deny is annoying, I'd honestly rather Deny be overplayed than Hush, it's just such a frustrating card and shouldn't be a generically good card. My suggestion is to change it to:
"5 Mana Burst Speed
Silence a unit this round. If you summoned a Soraka this game, this costs 3 less."
This way, Hush would be a powerful card to push the TK/Soraka archetype while not being a generically good card. Although TK/Soraka is kind of an annoying deck too, by limiting the card to that one deck it reduces the frequency with which you face it. Plus, it would make TK/Soraka feel more distinct and powerful and make Soraka/Braum and Soraka/Vlad a little less memey. I know that this would totally kill the card in constructed, but honestly I think that's preferable to Hush being played.
I don't think that it's possible to balance silence in it's current form, you either nerf it to uselessness, or it's going to be too strong. My personal wish is that they rework it to something like Quicksand, it disable key words and nothing else.
Since slay doesn't count ephemeral, meeting this card requirement is going to be pretty hard. that this unless we get some Shadow Isles support that all about slaying unit's.
How much damage is your opponent going to do once every single one of his 1 drops or even 2 drops units has -2? As for breaking barrier there is only one deck who is capable of giving every single one your unit's barrier and Fiora/Shen and they can't do it before mana 9. But the thing that makes it better in my opinion is the burst speed, playing this without having to worry about deny is such a relief.
I have to disagree: unlike withering wail this spell does not: A: break all barriers from the opponent's units and B hinder 1 health units from getting their damage through (if it should be more than 2). It kinda compares to withering wail, yet I can't say which one is better
Why wouldn't it work? Endure deck only run 3 cards from Freljord, and other cards like Rite of Calling and Baccai Reaper have great synergy with Shadow Isles.
They nailed his league gameplay perfectly. stack, stack, stack then one shoot everything. Hell he even got an underwhelming level 1 and a powerful level 2 and 3 like how he tend to be weak early game and strong late game in league.

Slay Queen Slay
I think as an Anubis type archetype it's pretty great and flexible
You'll think Shadow Isles for sure
But even just being able to challenge and single combat in Demacia works

I give it a solid 8/10
The Timmies Champion Lissandra
Yeah the rarity comment was about the cost to the player to obtain these power creeped cards.
Which in this instant is practically non existent when compared to every other ccg.
Like even free to play you'll have 20 common wild cards in the bank whenever a new set is released.
That's just granting you the premise that solid power creep even exists in LOR
