RIP ODD Shaman, it was decent but now it's murdered. (Just when it got more and more support.)
I wished they removed Searing Totem instead of Wrath of Air Totem, would have been better i.m.o. (And would make it so all shaman HP totems have 0 atk and each with a unique effect. Searing Totem has always been the boring odd one.)
Sure it COULD restrict disign space to keep Wrath of Air Totem, but it is one of the only reliable ways for shaman to get spell damage. My actuall guess as to why they removed it is because they didn't want shaman to have a totem that gives spell damage for all spell types. (Or they want to reprint Wrath of Air Totem as a new card in an upcoming expansion..)
I'm pretty certain 3 3/2s on turn 10 or later is crap. 2 after turn 5 isn't that great either. The upgrade effect just seems too weak to even bother having it.
so the next expansion is going to be elwynn or something else alliance focused, right? then the third set this year will be a clash between alliance and horde
For anyone like me wondering about Gallant Rider: the unit he transforms into is that 5|5 tough that nobody maindecks. It will be interesting to see if he carries damage over through the transformation; a 4-cost 4|4 that occasionally becomes a 5|5 is pretty underwhelming but if he resets his health you're effectively getting like a Grizzled Ranger effect with a few extra hoops in exchange for much better stats.
As someone who uses Sylvanas as their main Hunter hero, i'm glad that people can now get her again. She has some really pretty animations and some great voicelines. Sylvanas is one of the few rare good hunter skins. Seeing thunder king return is nice for those we don't have him, but as someone who also has thunder king, his voicelines are a bit lackluster so beware of that.
Glad to see them return to the shop though, let's hope this continues and we will see more older skins return in the shop!
Small side question, whatever ever happened with the whole theory about Jarvan IV being Leblanc in disguise? Did that ever get debunked? Surely she isn't pretending to be him as he cleaves through Noxian soldiers. Not only would that seem to really harm the plans of her own nation, but I feel a little Noxian aristocrat might have issues mimicking his combat style.

Because a lot more decks have ways to deal with Hunter cards and Nitroboost. A turn 4 Alura + Coin was an unstoppable game-winner the vast majority of the time. Nitroboost doesn't even come close to that.

He didn't, Sion did kill a Demacian king but that wasn't Jarvan 3. Jarvan 3 was killed during Sylas rebellion and the identity of his killer is still a mystery. Sion died a long time before that.
For Core cards that are brand-new to the game, I believe the plan is to remove them completely if they don't make the cut for next year's Core. The whole point of Wild is to let you keep using the cards you've actually bought so that no one can accuse Blizzard of stealing or rendering your collection worthless. Balance and continuity in that mode are a distant second and third priority.
