  • New Paladin Spell - Oh My Yogg!

Wait... first they cast a spell, then it becomes a Paladin secret... and then I cast a spell and its...

    OH MY YOOOOOOOOOGG!

  • New Warlock Minion - Tickatus

It doesn't work with Archwitch Willow my precious wasted dust :(

  • New Demon Hunter Minion - Insatiable Felhound

It's not a bad card to run with Il'gynoth. Although if I'm totally honest, as a warlock main I wish Warlock got this instead.

Mill 5 cards. And then mill another 5.

In Wild, you can just run Rin instead and cut out the middleman if you want to destroy your opponent's deck. In Standard though, just this and Y'Shaarj already burns 10 cards which is pretty good. If your opponent plays Lorekeeper Polkelt, you can now burn 5 (or 10!) late games in their deck. Now when people play Polkelt against Warlock, they'll have to remember that they should draw the card(s) they want first before ending their turn.

And as a 6 mana 8/8 with a non-recurring downside, perhaps some Aggro decks could run it as a not-that-expensive late-game push?

  • New Shaman Minion - Magicfin

I've never liked anything about Murlocs, so I'm totally fine with this card being as stupid as it is.

  • New Shaman Minion - Magicfin

Eh, as long as Underbelly Angler exists, Murloc Shaman always has a shot at being relevant. The fact that this card can both be randomly generated and provides fuel for an aggro deck will make me think that it will have some experimentation but overall, the archetype will be dropped or prove to be a downgrade of other popular aggro decks.

  • Blizzard Reveals 8 New Madness at the Darkmoon Faire Cards + Developer Insights

I am not going to craft Tickatus but if I open him in pack I will check if he is working.

Also small 8 mana N'Zoth, the Corruptor effect in  Jewel of N'Zoth looks juicy.

  • New Druid Spell - Cenarion Ward

I can see this being really good or just meh.

  • Madness at the Darkmoon Faire - Reveal Season Community Bingo

Do class card count for silverback family? We got 3 mana 2/5 taunt in DH...

  • New Neutral Minion - Strongman

I don’t see this working out, since the card is at such huge odds with itself. However, if HS history has taught us anything, never discount cards that can be reduced to 0!

  • New Neutral Minion - Strongman

This is a very weird card. It's one of the weakest when in base form, but one of the strongest when in Corrupted form. You could play a huge card and then get a free 6/6 Taunt, but then you have to hold onto a really weak card for several turns.

  • New Shaman Minion - Magicfin

    Staff

It won't see any real play as it's a card that only works in Murloc decks and the support isn't actually conductive to any Murloc gameplay styles.

But at least a few people will run it for style points, so I guess it has that.

  • New Neutral Minion - Optimistic Ogre

You spend 5 mana and get a 6/7?!!! But that is such good stats for the cost! Damn, 50% of the time it works wvery time!

  • Holding Out For A Hero - Card Design Competition Discussion Thread

Here is Liadrin, Fallen Lady at 6-mana: her inability to immediately affect the board should have been taken into consideration for the original cost, but I overestimated how much a "this game" effect would be worth.

    Some feedback:

    Show Spoiler

anchorm4n - I think the second iteration would better fit a Token Druid, if that is what you're aiming for. The cost seems fine: 1-mana for the Armor (Iron Hide), 2-mana for the Hero Power (Dinomancy), and the rest for the Battlecry. Is +2/+2 worth 4-mana? Two Power of the Wilds say "Yes", but two Mark of the Lotuses say "No".

BloodMefist - I don't like that you have to fit "Hero Power" on the same line as the following text, but I understand why you did that. I hate discarding with a passion so I can't really speak to the Hero Power's strength, but a random Legendary might not be worth it. Unfortunately, you cannot submit the League of EVIL Hero Powers because we did not provide enough card slots (four is the limit).

MenacingBagel - There are a couple errors on your card: the Hero Power should say "Hero Power" on it, in bold, at the top of the box. "Underbelly Rat" should be capitalized, there should be a period after "Underbelly Rat", and then "When" should be capitalized as well. Beyond that, I'm worried that people won't like a Neutral Hero card.

Hordaki - I really like this card. N'Zoth, God of the Deep is my favorite of the new-Gods, and this directly supports such a menagerie deck. I'm not in love with the Hero Power, but it's okay. Not sure what else it could be, really.

AnAngryBadger - "Rush" and "Hero Power" should be capitalized. That being said, the Hero card doesn't really do enough to supplant base-Illidan in terms of creativity, in my opinion. You're not really changing his basic gameplay pattern: he's still going to throw minions to their death, and he's still going to build Attack. The synergy between them has increased, but the deck hasn't changed; the Hero card is universal enough that any archetype can just throw this in. Not sure I'm explaining myself well.

DavnanKillder - I like the concept behind Aegwynn, but I think the numbers could be tweaked. I would reduce her Battlecry to 2-damage per Secret, or maybe even 1-per; Secret Mage will readily cast their Secrets and drive up the damage, but you don't want this to be super powerful in a universal way or else everyone will run it without question. Also 6 Armor instead of 5 seems random: Dr. Boom has 7 Armor because of his "Dr. 7" meme, but beyond that there doesn't seem to be a reason for this change to precedent. Lastly, I think 10 Armor on the Hero Power is way too high: you're already ahead with the 5 Secrets, so gaining that much Armor is a win-more situation that really puts the game out of reach. 4 or 5 Armor would be enough. Still, as I said, I like the card, so don't see this paragraph as being too down on it.

Wailor - I like the Hero Power: pairs really well with what the Warlock does, but encourages you to go ham with it to drive up the score, as you will. Also indirectly encourages a token-based playstyle so you can have several minions built up. Overall flavor seems fitting, although the Orcs having Taunt might be weird; the Blood of Mannoroth drives people into a frenzy, not a defensive stance lol.

fungusABao - Of the two, I guess I like Cenarius more. While I like Anub'arak the character, Hearthstone has deemed him a Rogue minion, so suddenly making him a Warrior Hero card is weird. I also think the card itself is rather disjointed. Cenarius, conversely, has a focused mindset: stall and stall and stall some more. Although, that being said, destroying all minions is definitely against the Druid's "class identity", as they're supposed to struggle with board clearing.

KANSAS - Beyond the mistakes you already noted, I should mention that "Improvised" is misspelled :P Other than that, it just seems rather bland to me. Unless the Torch does something special, you're just equipping weapons; that might be enough if the card was paired with a Weapon Hunter archetype and supporting cards, but on the surface level the card doesn't offer much.

TheHoax91 - Temporary Hero cards have done well in the past, IIRC, so this is an avenue worth exploring in my opinion. Certainly makes them interesting. I hate Discolock, though, so you won't find a friend in me on that front lol.

Demonxz95 - As I noted in Discord, I think this takes away from Warglaives of Azzinoth, and I'm honestly of the impression that the Warglaives will become a Classic card when Blizzard gets around to making one for the DH. I personally don't think they would print such a Hero card when the Warglaives fulfill such a similar function, and that's before I mention how powerful I think Zaladris is.

  • Oh My Yogg! is a New Paladin Secret Revealed for Hearthstone's Darkmoon Faire Expansion

    Quote From Psymon

It's somekind of Counterspell but synergyzing pretty weird with Commander Rhyssa

I forgot that Rhyssa existed and was still standard non-the-les

  • New Neutral Minion - Strongman

At lategame you can play a highcost board clear and then that guy.

I think that is weak, maybe can see play in arena.

  • Please clone the "From the Forums" box during reveal seasons

    Pro

While I get that it's vital for the page to generate as much traffic and discussion as possible, navigating the forums during reveal seasons is a nightmare. The "From the Forums" box gets crowded with card discussion threads and finding anything else becomes a real pain until around expansion launch.

Some of us just want to see if there's something new in the usual threads like CDC discussion, salt/pepper, Card Treasure Hunt and so on and it takes no little effort to dig them out at those times when a big part of the community is hunting for the "Comment on every new card thread" site achievement.

I don't have a clue about programming and running a website, but maybe it would be possible to clone the "From the Forums" box during reveal seasons, one of them showing only threads from the Card Discussion forum and the other everything else. That way, both audiences would be served and site navigation would become A LOT easier.

  • Gigantic Mythgard Patch Coming! New Mechanics and Over 100 Card Changes

I must I love that Mythgard team is doing those changes.

They do not afraid making sometimes quite big changes, and looking trough this patch I must say that they not only nerf those overused cards but also but many many those underwhelming ones. This (I hope) will create much more variety in decks as right now usually in each mana cost there is one or two best minions.
And this way choices will be not so obvious and creating mono decks will be much fun as cards will be more usefull.

  • New Paladin Spell - Oh My Yogg!

I want to say that it's pretty funny if the opponent has lethal but plays their Coin first and it gives you Blur.

Ignore me, just a Hunter main passing by.

  • New Neutral Minion - Optimistic Ogre

Nah guys, you see, 50% chance to attack the correct enemy is worse than attacking the wrong enemy.

With a 50% chance to attack the wrong enemy, it has a 50% chance to ignore Taunt and hit face. But this has a 50% chance to attack the right enemy, meaning it has a 50% chance to just attack the Taunt instead of the face.

  • New Paladin Spell - Oh My Yogg!

A Counterspell for Paladin with some Misdirection added in there as well. This has a chance to horribly backfire, but it also has a chance for your opponent to waste everything if they end up with, say, a damage spell that ends up hitting one of their own things. There is the potential for legitimate gameplay applications here, although your opponent can still play around it the same way they can with Counterspell.

  • Madness at the Darkmoon Faire

DH already had 3 epics revealed. I think it's 2,3,5,5.

  • New Shaman Minion - Grand Totem Eys'or

I love the art, but I don't see this helping Shaman very much. I'm not sure what Shaman needs to improve it's standing but I don't think this is it.

  • Oh My Yogg! is a New Paladin Secret Revealed for Hearthstone's Darkmoon Faire Expansion

Wow. This is the card that will make paladin terrifying.

Paladin has always hated the removal, silence, and transformation disruptions from their other classes just because it would have no way to stop it. Libram paladin only had to fear those few classes that could actually have access to them, but this thing can make the class unstoppable when played right. Leading ahead on board and proper hand reading will force others to make a suboptimal move to trigger the secret away or, worse, fall into it and lose in the spot. You can end up countering brawl, puzzle box, all of preist's board clears, hex, polymorph, skull of guldan, even just stopping dh's twin slice is game winning. This will require proper play and game state understanding from the paladin, but when done correctly, it will really difficult to lose with the libram package anymore
