Thanks for your responses, I guess the opinion that the special quest will be available for everyone when Duels go live is very probable, to get more people in. Guess we need to wait to see.
I’ll be way too slow to work, but part of me wants to do a Double C’Thun Shudderwock Combo... with double battlecries on Shudder... Is that wrong of me?! Maybe!
Will depend entirely on how good the eclipses turn out to be. They both look reasonably useful, but you will have to find ways to abuse them for this card to be worth running.
Power creep on Shooting Star. Add even a little spell damage and this is really good. Also helps you soften up minions to kill with your hero power (I suspect that Stellina's HP in Duels is a practice run at future DH cards).
The best will be at the start too max out the usage of the XP Boost. You won't get stuff a second time, it just that the wording could be more clear. Echo is right.
Can be consistent because we control the pool, but can be really slow. Idk how fast games are ending in darkmoon meta, but if control somewhat possible this can be really nice value and swing.
Yeah, I saw some guys post on orange's twitter on the stats in the euro side, just to show how skewed europe is. Guess it will be a tall order to ever see hunterace or orange back in gm.
Europeans have won all five masters tour event this year. Additionally, every final has been EU vs EU or EU vs China.
I'm fine with saiyan's re-promotion, he actually had to get the result in order to stay, but I'm very salty about Warma's repromotion. What kind of justice is that if you get promoted twice with the same victory? That basically means that (almost) every GM promoted after Season 1 was immune to relegation due to still being high on the all-year earnings list. He already had his chance, they should've set his (and all other promoted players') earnings to zero mid-season. Not to mention that currently it's DeadDraw AGAIN who has to suffer from this bullshit...
I agree with The University of Piltover being a bit too slow. I had thought it would be a pretty good resource engine against hard control decks and after playing about 15 games with it I came to the conclusion that Augmented Experimenter is much better because most of the time it just gives straight burn options and ends the game before the control player could draw their heal or board clear. Tho I will say just because it discards the hand and draws 3 random cards doesn't really mean it's bad. If it does come to a situation where Discard Aggro can't burn fast enough and has to play more for the late game, The University of Piltover could be seen as a 1 of. Honestly, I've been running it as a 1 of nowadays and it's doing decently well. About 60% WR in Casual.
The quest chain was about playing Duels. You have to get 2 wins, then 3 wins, then 4 wins, If I remember right. We have no way to know if this will be available to everyone in a couple weeks when the mode goes into Beta, but I think it will for two reasons:
1. They want people to test it. There are already some obvious balance issues. It doesn't kill the fun of the mode for casual, but for heroic I think a balance pass would be greatly appreciated.
2. They already got our money for pre-purchase, why give us 6 extra packs and not everyone else? Why create that quest chain just for those people? Seems inexplicable to be, but doesn't mean that it isn't true.
well, no one calls them achievements for a reason, they are called unique(hidden) quests because they award gold or packs or w/e
and again that's exactly to be in line with other blizz games, quests in d3 or wow award xp and/or gold and/or items and the word achievements is reserved for just a point based system which sole purpose is bragging rights
I know what you mean though, that some of these quests do feel like achievements as they require certain conditions to be met, but then again, they feel more grindy rather than requiring a specific scenario to happen which feels more like an actual achievement
Great job on this little project you have going. You are proving the power of random level 2 champions pretty effectively.
You're also playing The Howling Abyss completely correctly - it belongs in a heavy control shell for sure.
Yeah, it looks like it does its job in a control archetype but honestly I am thinking of a deck like a Zoo Lock from Hearthstone that contains Arch-Villain Rafaam.
I mean, force your opponent with your aggro and whenever you lack sources for finish the game or when it is the correct time, drop The Howling Abyss for level 2 champions. It might be a Braum/Poro deck like this one;
But well, Braum has some trouble against Tahm Kench right now, so I don't really know. Maaybe another aggro deck with The Howling Abyss might be better but I can't think of one right now.
Special Legendary Quest chain?

New Priest Minion - Fortune Teller
Can be a 12/12 taunt for 5 at the most. That is insane value, but getting it so big is really unlikely. I think it's playable.
New Paladin Spell - Day at the Faire
The main question is if we are going to see some Silver Hand buffs again in Standard. This can be very strong in Wild with Quartermaster and so on.
New Druid Minion - Kiri, Chosen of Elune
Will depend entirely on how good the eclipses turn out to be. They both look reasonably useful, but you will have to find ways to abuse them for this card to be worth running.
New Demon Hunter Spell - Felscream Blast

Tavern Pass Question....when best to buy?

Madness at the Darkmoon Faire
This is a card game. One could make that argument about every game - assuming the skill of the players is near equal.
New Neutral Minion - Y'Shaarj, the Defiler
Can be consistent because we control the pool, but can be really slow. Idk how fast games are ending in darkmoon meta, but if control somewhat possible this can be really nice value and swing.

Did they say how much the new tavern pass costs?
So we have to buy the 80 pc bundle to get the battleground perks plus this pass?

They're all pretty darn good but I must say that mustache on Y'Shaarj is incredible not playing favorites or anything though.

Warma and saiyan getting right back is the epitome of how stupid the system is for gm relegation and promotions.
Also, how did european players get so much money compared to the asia and americas?
What do you think about the Monuments of power expansion?
