- The cards will be available to earn through Darkmoon Faire card packs.
- You can purchase the 35 card addition, which includes 4 legendaries, for $15 or 2000 gold.
- The mini set brings back dual-class cards and Spellburst, which were both mechanics seen earlier in the Year of the Phoenix.

Can anyone clarify the prerelease for me?? I can host a fireside gathering at my house, but if I’m alone, I can’t play the fireside games at all. I can’t play online like normal. I can only open my packs. Is my understanding correct???? Please help. I’m not finding any information about this
It's ok, you can play with others only if they are in the same fireside gath.
Sounds correct to me.
After everything, the cards of the expansion feel underwhelming for me.
This entire expansion is great. What’s nostalgic for Standard is support for Wild. :D
Whats sad is that for wild these cards will be giving support to already good archetypes like secret mage, which I really don't like, and theres a ton of cards like Deck of Lunacy that combo really well with things in wild. (Deck of Lunacy and Open the Way-Gate.) Also, Tickatus is gonna be wonderful in wild. It's gonna ruin a ton of combos.
Combo decks are the primary things I play, but hey, who cares? These cards all look really fun (and broken).
So far it feels like this expansion is going to be heavy on Big Minions.
I don't mean to be a negative person but at the moment I'm not seeing how we get to the point of being comfortable playing huge ten drop win conditions. The current meta is aggro heavy because there aren't any healing or sustain options, the only things I'm seeing here are taunts, many of which are in classes with taunt options already available. The only healing is lifesteal in DH which has never really been a class that struggled with healing to begin with.
There are a couple decent anti-aggro tools in the set, like Darkmoon Dirigible, Sword Eater, and Snack Run, but for the most part I do agree that the set feels a bit lopsided towards needlessly large minions. The last set felt this lopsided towards big heavy creatures was WotG, which had also been in a time when Reno was in standard, and the game was significantly more mid range. All that said, I'm still optimistic that we'll get to have some fun with the Old Gods, and if not then hopefully we can atleast get some fun toys to enjoy.
Could you help me to remember which are the quantity of cards of each rarity that a class has?
2 legendaries, 2 epics, 3 rares and 4 commons? At the final reveal we are going to have a huge quantity of cards for being unveiled, no?
No, 2,2,3,3 are the normal classes, except DH which has 2,2,5,6
DH already had 3 epics revealed. I think it's 2,3,5,5.
Instead it turned out to be 2,3,2,8. I guess they're filling voids left with previous expansions, I haven't been keeping track.
Awww man, seeing the clock ticking on the front page ..!
We were shown just the tip - I just can't wait for more - let the reveal season start already!!
I'm really looking forward to the control aspect of this set.
So am I, assuming they make it. If we only get big boys and no healing or delay options we won't see much of these big boys, at least from our opponents.
November 17 release is an unprecedented early release. 3rd expansion usually launch 1st/2nd week Dec. What gives?
I remember reading about this in an interview, basically, they just had the expansion all finished already and decided to push it sooner. Super weird reason to break the norm, but I'm going to remain optimistic about everything.
Could also be that they are making more of a gap between this and the mini-expansion to not have them be incredibly cramped.
well previously there was BlizzCon Timing to be considered which is not an issue this time around.
Yes it is early. Last time a new set launched in November was LOE I think. As much as I love new content, I don't want them to increase the frequency of expansions, which is what this makes me afraid they might be doing.
