Slowly gives you more and more Spell Damage. I'm not sure about the Mana Cost...maybe 5 would be better?

@Wailor I like the middle iteration the most. The first is too wordy, and the third one isn't clear that you add them.

@Demonxz95 I really like the Stitching Arm. I would go with that one.

This is an idea I had while at work today. A Guardian Animals deck loses a lot of its juice when the Beasts make it into your hand; well, now you can mitigate that with the Tamer's Whip! Note that it does not specify "costs 5 or less", so this could also be used with bigger Beasts like King Krush or Marsh Hydra. Could work great in Wild as well to offset someone like Kathrena Winterwisp.

If you would prefer it not to be dual-class, I can make it Hunter-only. I also fear it's not the most original idea, being "GA but your hand". I just like that it compliments the deck to make it run smoother.

    Congratulations to Arkasaur!

  • Monuments of Power

I find it very interesting that every region got an epic landmark except Demacia, who got Kadregrin the Infernal and Ionia, who got Trevor Snoozebottom. I can get Kadregrin -- he synergizes with Shyvana so there's incentive to release him now -- but Snoozebottom seems rather lame which makes me think Ionia's landmark is really badass and they made a conscious decision to delay it until December for some reason.

  • Infinite Fireheart Spells

    Pro

I've been watching this deck for the last few days, LOVE the concept. I have Fireheart but haven't used her much yet. Any updates on deck choices or strategy? Thoughts on modifying this for standard? I might take the plunge tomorrow!

  • Unbench the Kench! 6 Tahm Kench Theorycraft Decks for Runeterra's Monuments of Power

Thanks for the reminder that I only need to craft two of each new Champion going in.

Also, some of these decks look fun. Thanks!

    Two ideas.

No I don't intend on always having Hunter cards. It's just happening. I think the professor of sewing class went in a very different direction this year.

I admittedly did not consider what would happen in the event of Neutral spells triggering Masked Prowler (like The Coin). It most likely just wouldn't generate anything, and if you used it with the Coin, you'd just be a bad player.

Which wording is better? They all intend to do the same (first spell -1, rest of them +2)

I'd also like to know you opinion about balance and artwork.

That one wasn't even close. Arkasaur completely crushed it.

But hey, Hunter finally won a comp! It's also only the second card ever to reach a score of 4.00 or higher.

@TheTriferianGeneral You are wrong on the first line of your comment I don't see  how the dragons of LoR compare to the dragons in HS except 2 cards having "behold a dragon" which is different from holding it as well since it counts dragons on board. that being said I am not the one who down voted you this thread and you don't need to be angry about people disagreeing with you.. I assure you it's not malice for most people who downvote comments they think are wrong.

What i meant that all dragon themed cards that i saw have a hs tribal vibe (not dragons in particular) they all follow the formula "put 20 cards of that tribe into your deck and you will benefit". This in my oppinion is neither encouraging interesting deck building nor interesting gameplay. You still can like and play it, but i don't like it and won't play it myself.

I wouldn't call that a hearthstone design.. yugioh did that back at 2002.. iin GX at least the GBA game you had pure element deck from all 6.. I know cause played that game a lot..

still recall dragon warrior from Whispers of the old gods having 6 dragons and I think only the charger as synergy? in the refined state so.. it's not really "throw all cards of that type and call it a day" even in HS and in early YGO they actually did just that for deck archtypes..

IDK how it's in magic.. but maybe it's also like that..

You don't have to run all dragons, also you don't have to go Demacia/Taragon..

Same way spider decks currently are SI/Freljord. (they who endure)

  • New Targon Card - Eclipse Dragon

I love the design of this card.  To be honest this makes me wish other cards had such "or" situations where they provided different effects depending on when they were played.  Daybreak and Nightfall, while easy to understand on a basic level create very interesting situations and require planning to fully gain value from.

  • MTG Banned & Restricted Updates for October 2020 - Omnath, Lucky Clover, Escape to the Wilds Banned in Standard

So much banning.  Wizards needs to watch their card design.  When you build a deck around Omnath or Lucky Clover there is a ton of crafting involved that can't really be side graded into different decks easily.  People don't like making large investments only to have their deck neutered and their money/crafts wasted.

I was saving up to build my own Omnath deck, thankfully that was a bullet dodged simply because I didn't have the needed cards on hand.  However I fear now that my Blue/Black rogue deck that I made day 1 will rise to a powerhouse that it is next on the ban hammer.

Ultimately MtG needs to look into separating the digital and physical format in terms of nerfing as opposed to banning.  A ban hammer is a rough, rough tool to use.  I like the game a lot but as a budget player (willing to spend a few bucks on every expansion but not sink a fortune into it) this is hard to follow.  They need to consider allowing nerfs as opposed to bans.  Failing that, they seem to be doing a poor job of playtesting some obviously powerhouse cards.

A conspiracy theorist may even find this as an intentional way of squeezing extra needs of crafting throughout an expansion, I don't think it's that sinister but it's starting to get a sideways glance from me that it's becoming more constant.

  • K/DA Arrives in Legends of Runeterra on October 28 - New Collectible Cards, Event Pass, Game Mode, and Board

    Quote From FortyDust

    I like Runeterra, and I like some K-pop. But this isn't a chocolate-and-peanut-butter situation.

    This is a toothpaste-and-orange-juice situation.

For once, I actually agree wholeheartedly with you

  • New Demacia Card - Kadregrin the Infernal

It isn't that bad if you got 2-3 dragons on board you get 4+4 or 6+6 in stats since it says ''everywhere''

But you prob want to cheat it out somehow playing it for 8 mana or 7 already makes it significantly stronger and there are a decent amount of cost reduction cards.

  • Weave Your Destiny in Runeterra With These 6 Soraka Theorycraft Decks for Monuments of Power

This came to my attention too late for the article, but here's a neat TK + Soraka deck that NicMakesPlays tweeted on Friday.

Side note: Nic, why you no save deck to DB? :*-(

  • Shyvana is the Newest Legends of Runeterra Champion Coming in Monuments of Power (6 New Cards)

Why is the Monuments of Power expansion guide not in the banner menu? Or am I just bad at finding it?

  • New Demacia Card - Kadregrin the Infernal

He is the definition of a big and bad creature ..

  • New Demacia Card - Dragonguard Lookout

The only question to me is if i can fit this guy into a shadowisles dragon shell and resummon him multiple times :O

  • Shyvana is the Newest Legends of Runeterra Champion Coming in Monuments of Power (6 New Cards)

A lot of people thought The Infinite Mindsplitter was too expensive to see play. It's not!

  • New Demacia Card - Dragonguard Lookout

it's much much easier to behold a dragon than plunder, seems like a good finisher for dragon decks have synergy with fury, rally is such a strong mechanic.

But the dragon deck as it seems is quite heavy on mid tier units 4-6 mana.. maybe you would prefer Relentless Pursuit instead?

  • New Targon Card - Eclipse Dragon

I love the idea of a Daybreak/Nightfall card, I think it’s the only way for the Daybreak condition to be interesting. In terms of viability this seems pretty good for cheating out ASol, and might make that deck possible again. The Celestial option is also really cool because it makes the really expensive Celestials much better (The Scourge on Turn 8 doesn’t seem that bad).

  • New Targon Card - Eclipse Dragon

I like this card it's flexible and glues together a lot of dragons with the cheating ability (just said in the 9 cost dragon.. "only if you could cheat this out.").

If this card costed 8 and had support it would have all the call of the mountain themes together.
