Played Hearthstone for 4 years (quit due to how anti-consumer all of Activion's games have become) and yeah ... because of bs-rng moments.
I also don't really like how Targon is embracing the rng with open arms. Is it as bad as HS? Of course not - but it isn't a good step for this game to take. Runeterra can't beat HS in terms of playerbase and they really shouldn't try.
Targon - in my eyes - isn't helped by the fact that the region completely dominates expedition to the point that a few higher-value targon cards (especially invoke) basically win you the format. I have won countless expeditions myself drafting decks like that. Aurelion Sol is an example of a card that just shouldn't be allowed in this format.
Radiant Guardian POWER: 5 → 4 I don't get this either. The difference between 5->4 attack on curve 5 is HUGE. Its much bigger then they are expecting. Not only that but there will be times it won't be possible to activate her effect. A vanilla 4/5 that costs 5 mana is terrible.
They are trying to reduce the power swing. A lot of times, RG comes out with the effect and if you can't remove it immediately then the game is just over. Not only is she durable enough to survive a hit from most units letting her give 10+ nexus HP, but she also discourages attacking with smaller units as they'll allow her to get even more hits in. Reducing by 1 attack will go a long way in throttling her potential to just carry games. Compare this card -- which is almost 3x of every Demacia deck on ladder right now -- with Soulgorger, who is +1 mana for -2/+2 stats and hasn't seen play since Rising Tides released.
Regarding you comment "there will be times it won't be possible to activate her effect": you always activate her effect. The only time you see a naked RG is when Remembrance low-rolls.
Fair enough. Still think it could be adress in a better way, like keeping the Lifesteal keyword when it fails even if that means lowering the attack further to 3.
So Lee Sin has a 50 percent winrate on mobalytics currently, so it's really bad.
I won't scrutinize your comment as big companies like Blizzard loves to balance their game around that fact alone but man, is it single minded.
Lets say there is a new deck who rises day 1 with a 80% winrate. Clearly OP right? So the meta game changes and now this new deck is being played everywhere. Some time later 3 other decks rise to counter this specific deck. The new meta game is now distibuted around 70% of those 4 decks and 30% whatever. Then if we look at the winrate of this new deck again, it should be around 47-50%. Now, would you say the deck is now balanced/bad because the metagame shifted towards it? Its obviously not.
Winrate is one indicator to know if something is getting out of control but Balance is much deeper then that.
I cannot wait for Hearthstone to explore Pandaria! There are so many amazing themes there, creatures, and general fun. They could make an entire adventure just about Nomi learning to be a chef from the ground up!
Plus, we need some serious Sha in Hearthstone. It could be an entire mechanic.
Yes, this Brawl can be a bit slow, but I like it, because in the past I realy enjoyed the DK Rexxar hero power. Sadly nowadays this DK is way too slow. :/
I agree with you. The pixie has kidnapped a squirrel and is casting spells on it while the other squirrels hide. That girl has a few screws loose and that's OK.
Spellshield does NOT counter frostbite from abilities - e.g. Icevale Archer, Sejuani, and Ashe's attack. I guarantee 100% that these abilities go right through the spellshield. It does counter harsh winds though.
Rule of thumb:
Spells always get negated by SpellShield
If it is a unit-based skill that goes onto the stack -- or in other words, if it can be Denied -- then it gets negated by SpellShield
If it is a unit-based skill that doesn't go onto the stack / can't be Denied, then it will slip through SpellShield
Rag is insane, Crackling Cyclone needs to go to Tier5 :D I had 60/60 something mega-windfury Cyclone as Rag that was killing half the enemy board alone, it was absurd.
My evaluation after playing a few games: Elementals are OP.
It is way too easy to get a full board of 20+/20+ minions. You have Taunts with 40+ life, you have a mega-windfury guy with divine shield who can take out between 2-4 guys at the start of every round, and you also have that over-kill guy who can take out 2 guys with one attack, or 3 if he is golden. Most of the time the matches are over after just 2-3 attacks because of how efficient elementals are at killing things.
I think pretty soon we may get a nerf to elementals, but it is probably best to wait at least a few days when they aren't as new to see if they are as powerful as they seem right now.
That really can be true, the picking quote from the new rexxar is diferent from the another two, so this is really good, i hope they also make a rework on the jaina and uther ones, at least give then new entrance and heropower animations
Great work! I really love expansions in which each class has a distinct theme (like Boomsday), but this one is specially cool!
I was going to write some constructive criticism, but anchorm4an already pointed out most of the issues I found. The only thing he didn't mention is that, if Star Guitarist Luna is suposed to be the same character Stargazer Luna, you should find a Draenei artwork, since the current one is a Night Elf.
Overall very cool expansion, even if there's no Mine Sweeper card :P
Could use some feedback on this card. I'm trying to merge two concepts from Frozen Throne: mage dragon synergy, inspired by Sindragosa, and " If it's your opponent's turn" deathrattles like Vryghoul and Arrogant Crusader.

BATTLEGROUNDS REVIEW (feel free to discuss)
Ragnaros is 100% going to get nerfed in the next balance patch. I have no idea why they thought that was a good idea to push live.
Over correction?

I love the brown one. For sure one of my new fav. card backs! :)

Same. We've gone to Northrend 3.5 times already, so it's a crime that the closest we've come to Pandaria is the Jade Lotus in MSoG.
Riot Agrees They May Have Mistakenly Buffed Bastion Too Much
The new version would be perfect at 4 mana, as long as Lee Sin also gets nerfed.

I've been waiting for a Pandaria expansion for too long. I NEED this to be right.
Runeterra Patch 1.11 - Card Balance, Single-Player Lab, New Personalization, Global & Friend Leaderboards
Right, that's why I wanted to see it on a watch list. I know it's logistically too soon for a nerf.

The buff to bastion will absolutely change that however.
Expect it to go up to 55 percent with the next patch.

Good Gods I hate the Hunter class... I went 7 games before I didn't get hosed.

Yeah, i like it also shows profile headers, looks cool!
Rise of the Zombeasts
There is a bit of skill to knowing what good beast combinations exist... but then still you don't get those often...

1.11 Patch Notes
Swim has Swain TF, and Pirate burn aggro as still top tier after the patch
because logically changing one stat on one card isn't enough to kill these decks
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QKix7RFE48
but sure they will be a tiny bit worse
